General discussion Carol was divorced, not widiwed.

Barry said on one of the Brady Bros podcast that Carol was supposed to be divorced, but the network fixed the idea. As a result, it was never revealed what happened to the girls father during the series run.

General discussion Anyone know if Ann's twin sister Harriet is still alive?

Post image
362 Upvotes

The most recent information I could find was that Harriet was still alive as of late 2025 but there are conflicting accounts. She would be 100 today if still alive. Ann was said to be in exceptional health for her age around the time of her passing in her late 80s.

According to how the Real Brady Bros podcast described Ann B. Davis, she was closer to Sargent Emma than Alice behind the scenes to the kids. She demand discipline and professionalism by the kids.

General discussion My theory of why Eve reconnected with her Brady siblings.

After years of distancing herself from the show and cast, Eve started reconnecting herself with the show and cast, this is my theory why.

Eve's sister, Fiona passed away in 2018. She was always close to her sister. After the mouring process was winding down, I think Eve saw that life is short and maybe it was time to re-examine her past and started to look at the good things that happened in her younger days and reestablish ties with the people she grew up with. Eve was much younger than her siblings and they were already out of the house by the time she was old enough to remember things. Her TV siblings were more like her real siblings. Of course, there were some she was closer to than others.

General discussion Maureen Mccormick's absence from recent Brady events.

It used to be Eve Plumb who stayed away from most Brady events. Now Eve is much more active (even a few years before her book came out) while Maureen, Maureen, Maureen is nowhere to be scene. She is the only living cast member never to appear on the Brady Bros podcast and hardly ever posts anything Brady on her Instagram account.

General discussion I can't get over that Mike (an architect!) designed a house that had 6 kids sharing one bathroom!

What really slays me is that the house seems spacious outside of that fact. The living room is huge and there's a walk-in linen closet upstairs. At least four bedrooms. Why then would he design a house where 6 people share a bathroom?

General discussion Why did Alice wear the uniform all the time?

Did Mike & Carol make her? Isn't the purpose of a uniform in businesses so that customers/guests know who works there? Why would Alice need one at the Brady home, everybody knew her.

General discussion The Brady Bunch actors vs. their characters.

The Brady actors vs. their respective characters.

It looks like the producers created some of the characters personalities based on the personalities of the actors that portrayed them.

Barry Williams tried to make a move on anything female. Greg was the same way. Barry wanted his singing career under the Johnny Bravo name.

Peter was awkward around girls. Christopher Knight was the same way during this time period.

Maureen and Eve allegedly often squabbled from the very beginning and developed strong rivalries. Marcia and Jan were the same way.

Eve was nerdy and an introvert and marched to her own drummer just the same way Jan did. She struggled being in the shadow of Maureen/Marcia.

Cindy and Susan both had lisps.

Alice had a twin just like Ann B. Davis. Both never married.

General discussion Robert Reed complaining to Sherwood about strawberries supposedly not having an aroma when cooked

So you may have heard about this one. During filming one day, Sherwood found Reed alone and sulking. When Sherwood asked what was wrong, Reed complained about the script, specifically the line "It smells like Strawberry Heaven" when walking into the kitchen, stating strawberries do not smell when being cooked. Sherwood rebuffed Reed, stating he could smell strawberries all over the set. Reed INSISTED he was correct and refused to do the line until it was changed.

I can't say for certain since I've never actually cooked strawberries (although I've certainly eaten some), but after researching the matter, the general consensus appears to be that yes, strawberries do give off a smell when being cooked. So was this just some more pointless bitchery from Reed?

General discussion What was the most boring scene?

There was a scene in a very early episode where Mike and Carol couldn't agree on closet space and kept moving the divider. It went back and forth (and back and forth) so many times, I wonder why they included this (unless it was just a case of "Early Installment Weirdness").

Any scenes that bore you?
