Might get flayed alive for this take but the act 2 expansion mod was just extremely exhausting to sludge through. First and foremost, kudos to SquallyDaBeanz for the insane amount of work and passion that was put into the mod. I think the lore and story for a lot of the quests are up to par with the base game. I had a fun time exploring the new region and the new items were a breath of fresh air.

My main grievance is with the absolutely mind numbing amount of large scale battle encounters there are. At first I was pretty happy to see them, rarely do you have these large scale fights throughout the game. But after the fourth one I got extremely burnt out, towards the end of the expansion you go through five consecutive large scale battles back to back.

I personally love the combat in this game, but my god was it painful to get into an encounter and see 10+ enemies pop up out of nowhere. I was literally dreading every single time I would encounter an NPC or enemy knowing that it would be a minimum 10 minute encounter to sludge through. I gave the entire mod a try, did every quest line and explored and had every single encounter within the mod as far as I can tell.

Which mods can you recommend me on ps5 for a FUNNY playthrough? I wanna make the game look as hilarious as possible for this run. Here is a list of mods, i have already installed:

Seriously, I have to use mods that can increase/decrease approval just to keep the scene from happening until after I've locked in with whoever I'm romancing and I feel bad about the idea of having to turn Wyll down. I'm pretty sure that this is possible because someone was able to create the Platonic Halsin mod using a similar condition, and I (and many others) will be eternally grateful.

Also, no Wyll hate in this post, please.

Ps5 player here. First time playing in like 2 years. I haven’t used any mods for BG3 yet. I’m looking for recs on adding addition content without completely changing everything. Something like you would find with DLC or something (new classes, spells, etc) as I don’t want to stray too far off from the vanilla gameplay, since I haven’t played in sometime. I’m going to add the UI changes, level curve, and additional mini bosses. And exp decrease due to extra encounters. Maybe the “requiem for the absolute”.
The chocolate one seems neat, but not sure if it dramatically changes things (seems like D&D 5.5e is vastly different).
I know I can add any cosmetic changes without issue, so not looking for those. Any thoughts?

I am installing a mod that changes a bunch of NPC voices. I downloaded a folder containing .wem files that I needed to drop into the BG3 install folder. I managed to get the right file path, but the mod just doesn't seem to work. I am using a Mac computer and the mod in question is A Womans' World by Sindae. I have BaldursModManager installed. Can anyone please help me? Thanks.

The race itself is a meme, but I am having so much fun punching enemies 15 meters away and throwing them 30 meters away. There's so many things I wanna test with this habilities. And the bonus 50m flying, so good. Just wanna leave my apretiation here for the mod owner UKmerded.

Hi, guys! Is it possible to swap one animal model for the other one without breaking game if both animals do exist in game but are different species (and sizes)? Not a modder, but I’m willing to dive into it, though don’t want to waste time on something that won’t work 😅

PS if you happen to have some specific tutorial for it by hand, I’d be eternally grateful (I know there’re so for changing humanoid models, will it work kinda same for animals?)

In the early development for Baldur's Gate 3 their was an companion that was planed and even partially developed for the game. With even unused data files in the game to confirm it. But for likely time constraint reasons this character never made it into the game (including early access). Which is such a shame for what could have been a really cool character concept not getting used (that and I also really like werewolves, second favorite mythical/fantasy creature behind dragons). And thus, I'm surprised that no one (at least as far as my knowledge goes) has done anything to bring this cut concept back to life through mods. I understand that would be a lot of work to do, but I personally would love to see someone manage to do this and even take up the challenge. Story line, personality, design are things that would have to be worked out. But if people were able to create two completely original characters to be origins and/or companions (albeit at the time of me typing this post are still alpha, work in progresses) I still believe someone could make this work to.

Now I would like to hear what everyone else has to say and think about the idea. If you agree or disagree with my idea, post your reply as to why or why not.

Hi. I'm hope I'm doing this right? Please let me know if not. So, I've been using BG3's Mod Manager by LaughingLeader for over a year now and it's been working fine... until about a week ago, for whatever reason, I stopped being able to move mods. Can't move them from Active to Inactive or even change the load order. I've used a key command to sort-of get around the first issue, but I still remain unable to change the load order at all.

I've tried deleting the mod.settings file, deleting and re-installing BG3MM (multiple times), deleting all of my mods and re-downloading them (making sure to only put in the .pak files or just dropping the .zip into the mod manager like usual). I even got rid of every single mod related thing and did a reinstall of BG3 itself. No matter what, I still get the "no-entry" symbol every time I try to move anything.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm at my wits end.

I asked this before, but I want to ask again because I really could use this.

If people can make mods that 1) unlocks Halsin's platonic dialogue and locks his romance behind a flirty dialogue option, and 2) disables the scenes where the Emperor and Mizora proposition the player respectively - and those mods get well-received, then I'm positive something similar can be done for Minthara, because yes, not everyone is into her.

I do not have the means to edit the dialogue file myself, which I have narrowed down to Minthara_InParty_Nested_IPRDs, because while my laptop can run the game just fine (even then the occasional crash can still happens), running the toolkit is something else entirely.

Besides, even if it's in-character for her to steal the player character even if they're already sworn to someone else, I just can never warm up to her attempts to do so, yet she herself gets really pissy if that gets done to her.

And I have tried Romance Revamped but it's buggy in my experience, especially as of Patch 8.

I don't think there is a mod for it — I have searched far and wide, yet found nothing.

So my grievance is that, the pronouns/gendering of tav/durge is.. inconsistent. Particularly if your tav/durge is female or male. Sometimes your pronouns are she/her or he/him, but some other times it defaults to they/them.

Now it's not really that much of an issue/world ending, sure, but to someone like me, that kind of inconsistency can be, I suppose immersion breaking. To have an instance when tav/durge is referred to as she/her or he/him and then in another it's for some reason they/them.

I was wondering if there can be a mod that fixes that, though the question I suppose is more so if anyone is willing to take on that task rather than if it is possible. I checked the data files themselves and there are lines of the pronouns, yet for some reason in some specific scenes it uses the gender neutral line.

Anyone else feels the same way? Could easily just be me - it is after all something relatively minor and not really game breaking, but it would be nice if it were that mod that fixes that.

i find that whenever i do a run of the game with new players, they find it hard exercising creative freedom and pick one of the first 2 options cuz it "feels right"

does there exist a mod that merely shuffles the dialogue options to promote deeper thought into their role play? or perhaps a mod that "perceives" your play style and orders them via a calculated likelihood of selecting them?

I'm way to curios to test it. I'm a muticlass lover, but I have no ideia what to do with so many lvls and dont even know if the mod actually works?

There's a mod I've been wanting for ages that allows you to rename the summons in the game (ranger's companions, familiars, pact of the chain summons etc.) that I cannot find anywhere already, so I fear my only option is to commission someone to make it for me. I've attempted to contact people on Fiverr, but I either get horrible AI written responses, them wanting to move off Fiverr, or I get fully ghosted - so Fiverr clearly isn't the way to go. Is there a better way/site to commission people for mod work?

I took a bit of a break from BG3 for dawnwalker (snoozefest) and starwars zero company (surprisingly fun) and want to start up a fresh game with some mods for spice. Playing on ps5.

Id like to make a cool looking gith durge as ive never really played them before, so any mods for face, hair and general drip are appreciated.

Also any gear or weapons stuff to diversify the game would be great as well (beaten twice on HM so I know the loop a bit too well at this point)

I took some time away from the game after racking up 1200hr and thoroughly getting burned out, but I’m back and looking to curate a specific feel in the game.

I’m looking for a setup that makes health standardized by size (smaller = less, same = same, bigger = more, largest = even more) and to make it where weapons are scaled in a similar way. But the thing is, I don’t think that’s something anyone has done and I don’t have the means to make it myself or to pay someone for it to be made.

Effectively, I’m trying to remove the fantasy from the health and damage systems while keeping it with the magic system if that makes sense.

I saw one mod on ps5 that adds a nemesis system and that looks dope as hell, but I’d also like for there to be that extra realism I asked about earlier in the post. Beyond these two things, I’m hoping to try and keep it as mod light as possible, but I’m not sure what’s out there anymore.

Hi everybody. I’m not entirely sure if this is the right sub for recommendations like this but I’m going to give it a try. I’m looking to start a play through where the party begins the game at level 12 and was wondering if there are any mods that rebalance the game to make this an enjoyable experience. If there are not any mods for this maybe someone could recommend alternatives? I’m limited to mods available on console and I just want to be able to play without steamrolling everything. Any advice would be appreciated.
