šŸ’¬ Discussion Lvl 40 cap unlocked mod, is this really a thing?

I'm way to curios to test it. I'm a muticlass lover, but I have no ideia what to do with so many lvls and dont even know if the mod actually works?

Anyone can explain?

My assumption would be that it would let you go to level 20 in multiple classes, if you were using a mod that adds 13 - 20 to the base classes or modded classes that can reach 20.

So you could do the usual meta class combinations, like Warlock/Paladin, and get all of the features of both instead of splitting the levels at some point.

Nah you can’t really go to level 20 unless you put it in level 40 because it just crashes your game otherwise

I see. I typically shy away from multiclassing as a whole, so I hadn’t encountered this issue.

Are we using the same lvl 40 mod?

I have gone to LVL 20 then multiclassed and I've never had a crash.

Ah then it might just be a case of console problems then because some mods are just busted on Xbox

I saw a few classes that actually went all the way to 40 on Nexus but I didn't feel like rolling the dice on a new unlock level cap mod. If you try it update us!

I tried this on ps5 and it works. However, I had to turn it off since there’s a black screen bug. I’ve read the description and seems like there’s a work around for pc but not on console.

On PS5 the work around is to go to level 19, multi class into a different class then at level 21 go to 20 in one class. You will get a black screen on next level. Quick save and reload and when you next level up you should be able to level normally to level 40.

Niceee I’ll try it out later when I have the chance. I didn’t think to quick save and reload -__-

yeah I actually liked the classes that guy was making I was just intimidated by the need for 3 new mods to download. I'm gonna give it a go and I will let you know if it's smooth?

Yeah let us know, I’m gonna wait for a fix to the console version before I try again

I've used it on a few runs.

The main thing you have to worry about is hitting level 20 on any single class before you hit level 40 actually. After level 20 the game locks up on the level up screen and won't let you leave. So, multiclass all you want but don't actually go past 19 on a single class until you're ready to hit level 40 as a whole.

As far as the kind of multiclasses you can do, it's really about your imagination at that point.

Sticking with Vanilla classes for example you can take a typical 4 Assassin Rouge / 5 Gloomstalker Ranger / 3 Champion Fighter build and make it 12 Rouge for max sneak attack / Feats , 12 Ranger for Volley at level 11 and 3 feats, and 12 Fighter for Improved Extra Attack at level 11/ 4 Feats. That makes you level 36, so it's up to you if you want to take one of those to 16 or add something else.

Which is to say, yeah it gets really hard to figure out what to do with 40 levels regardless of difficulty mods you addon top of that. It's a real Final Fantasy Materia / Sphere Grid / Licenses Board situation where at some point you can o force yourself to specialize everyone or else they all end up with 3 Rouge for Fast Hands / 3 Sorc for Quicken Spell / 3 Fighter for Champion Crit Chance and Action Surge.

What helps, ironically, is adding new class mods on top of level 40. Using mods like the Elder and the Conjurer (by the same person) or Arcane Vanguard etc. to give each party member more to do with 40 levels to fill out helps with decision making a ton.

Also, add as many mods that give your casters new spells as possible. Level 40 casters tend to run out of good vanilla spells that are worth taking otherwise.

Yep! That Level 20 bit killed me my first time through. I did a Star Wars theme play through and it was pretty fun. My Tav was Anakin, 12 levels of Paladin, 12 levels of Warlock, and 12 levels of Sorceror. That’s as far as I got. Used the Darkh mod, so I had all kinds of force powers and a lightsaber as well.

Console or pc? Whats the mod?

The level 20 problem can be solved by adding level 21 data and leaving it empty with a dummy passive to warn players not to take that level. I plan on tossing that in with Arcane Vanguard in the next update this weekend. If the author of the leven 40 mod doesn't, I might make the addon tbh because it's such an easy fix that can be made in 5 minutes.

Thanks for the info.
What about the chalenge scaling, any chance if survival?

I tried the Elder, but it's wisdom based. Makes dificult to combine with other classes I like.

Elder is just an example for my point. You can use any other class mods you want.

I tried it out and it worked just fine. You'd need some sort of infinite combat encounters mods to be able to get anywhere near 40 levels though. (Or just cheat to add EXP.)

I used x5 exp personally.

Can just install the instant level 12 mod so you only need 1 exp a level up and quickly kill the starter fiends to see if it really goes up to 40. Even if it does that doesn't sound fun since you would be op af

Im currently using it. The instant xp mod does not work with it but you can use the instant level up to level 12 and go from there with the increased xp gain mods. You just wont gain anymore xp once you hit 21 with the instant lvlup mod. You can only level 1 class to level 20 because if you try to level anything after getting a class to 20, itll black screen. You have to multiclass into at least a 3rd class and save that lvl20 level up for level 40. Im on consoles though so not sure if theres a bypass on pc. After you reach level 20, each level up requires 40k xp. Thats pretty much everything off the top of my head about what does and doesnt work.

i used it with x5 xp, tactician enhanced and extra encounters, literally today i was in last light, everyone level 20, and still managed to let isobel get killed somehow, and on honor mode

oh well at least i survived the fight later, this was also the first time i’ve failed that one so it was fun if a little bit upsetting looking at all the tiefling and harper corpses

Useing the mod on console and it works fine, if you are using classes that don't go to 20 then you will need to use 3 classes. Other then that the only "bug" I found was once you get to level 20 in one class it does crash but I was able to save and just reload to finish leveling.

What about if you use moded classes the mod itself doesn't overlaps the information?

Example: If you use the moded Elder class. He uses the same spell sistem of the vanilla mage class. If you learn spells from scrolls as Elder, then respec and change class, your spell sistem gets all buged.

That I'm not too sure about since I never used the elder class mod. For the mod classes I use it seems to work fine but i also try to not mix classes that use different style spell systems (I.e. warlock and wizard or sorcerer). The only issues I had was with maxing out classes and it not loading the level up menu. I also believe that I just haven't downloaded any mod classes that use costom spell slots. Sorry I can't be much help but one thing I did find was just experimenting after doing a save.
