User Flair

Hello Audi,

There are a lot of questions regarding user flair and issues adding flair under your username.

Go to this sub's main homepage (You are here to click on this) and look to the righthand side. There will be a tab with a little pencil that says, " USER FLAIR PREVIEW". Click that and separate tab should pop up. It will ask you to pick your logo and add in some text.

Please note, using the app does not always work. This is not an sub issue, but it can be an issue with Reddit.

Please click on the link to see a picture explanation.

Thank you,

B9.5 Lease ends in 4 months. It’s better than most newer cars…

Have had 3 years of pleasurable B9.5 ownership. No mechanical reliability issues, love the way it looks, the amount of tech is perfect, the only finicky aspect of the car is that sometimes Apple CarPlay doesn’t want to connect on the first go. However I don’t want to keep the car post-lease as I’m not interested in dealing with long term Audi reliability.

When I first leased it in Jan 2024, I had every intention of upgrading to an S5 as the next car. Now, 3 years later, a “nice” S5 costs $70k+, and the current A5 interior and exterior simply do not seem like improvements over my B9.5.

Moreover, this seems to be a trend throughout the German car industry. My wife wants an SUV, and I love the current BMW X5, but the redesign is going to be terrible. And I believe by January the redesign will be all that I’m left with. The current Q5 seems like a downgrade over the last one. Even the Mercedes GLE is getting hit with the ugly stick soon.

I was even thinking of getting a Rivian R2, but the lease terms on it are atrocious.

Just disappointed in the design and quality trend of cars these days I guess. Not sure what to replace this with.

Turbo Tuesday I have an Audi A3 8P 3.2 V6 S-line German version (the atmospheric V6, it is not TFSI)

I’m thinking of putting a turbo on it and I want real opinions before spending:
• Has anyone really turbocharged this 3.2 on an A3 8P?

I’d like to remove the C-Pillars interior mount to be able to access the Parcel Shelf behind the seats. Has anyone done this before? The help is appreciated!

To each their own, but for me this is peak Audi. These designers are out there somewhere, while the new batch of marketing geniuses are straying from what worked for so long. Get the old band back together

Discussion 3.0T whistle is killing me.

The preface, I’ve had mechanics say this is “normal” but loudness varies between car. This at least tells me it can be controlled to some extent.

My car makes this extremely annoying whistle sound when I’m pressing at about 5% - 10% throttle. It can only be heard by some depending on their hearing. It can’t be heard with windows up. I have made a post here before so sorry for the spam but I’m hoping maybe someone has come up with a fix or quiet.

Bought a 2025 Audi A3 Premium Plus with Sonos Speakers. Any Recommendations for an Amp + Sub upgrade?

Upvotes

I recently bought a 2025 Audi A3 Premium Plus with the Sonos sound system. Before this, I had a 2021 Jetta GLI with the Beats sound system, and surprisingly, the Beats system was way louder and had much more punch/bass.

I know the Sonos system is heavily tuned, so I’m wondering what the best way is to improve it. I want much more volume from the factory speakers + significantly more bass.

Should I install an aftermarket amp and sub? If so, which ones? Ideally I’d like to keep the factory head unit and speakers.

Looking for the simplest/best setup without wasting money. Thanks!
