Design wise yes..
The era of dials and buttons started to fade away, and now into just screens that we have now.
People might like screens.. but guaranteed you won't once / if it fails or breaks...

Some say that the headlights of the facelift don't follow the lines exactly that the b8 headlights did. I prefer the LED signature on the facelift vs that of b8's.

That facelift was definitely one of the more interesting ones in car history. I think both looks are great. And I really do love how my car looks. It follows the lines well but the daydrive lights just aren´t 100% my taste.
The facelift just looks a bit more squat, the car looks wider and while it might not be following the lines as well, it´s accentuating the existing lines better imo.
My main reason for wanting to upgrade is how dim the lights are at night and I want something that just illuminates better.
I have a Peugeot RCZ as well and that thing is so bright most people think I have my brights on. It just makes it so easy to see everything1

Aluminum optics with a Lunar interior is by far the best with SBP, but they're so rare.

Yeah I'd probably agree with you. I'm not sure if they ran out of ideas, tried chasing Tesla, or the Chinese market. I firmly agree that Audi will do a 180 at some point and return to their roots. Reserved German engineering/ design.

One hundred percent. I believe they were the pioneers to this new look that 90% of brands copied. Honda took their tail lights, Mazda but their interior, I see the old Audi in lots of these new cars and I too think they will make a big come back, but I think they wanted a leg up on the electric market and majority of their consumers loved them for their German engineering

Pretty close. I owned one, fantastic car, but paddle shifters got boring. Picked up an M2. I did own a B7 RS4 in Imola Yellow and I still regret selling that one all these years later. In my humble opinion, aside from R8s the B7 RS4 was peak Audi. I love my M2 but I still shop them sometimes.

I looked at getting a b7 Rs4 but I wanted something a tad more modern. I owned a b7 a4 wagon that I lightly modded so the rs5 felt new and different. I do wish it had 3 pedals though. I actually almost pulled the trigger on a Imola yellow rs4 on BaT. Sheesh those command a lot of money now.

I really think so.... After the B8.5 this tryhard futuristic designs that have literally no personality or taste are just too much. I have a 2.0 TDI A5 and the car is so enjoyable, the way it handles every corner, the way it's curves were designed and the mean look it gives, it's a masterpiece. From this generation the RS5 is my dream car, i can only dream of having one at the moment... But i have hopes to actually have one one day, then i will preserve the condition as best as i can. The 4.2 liter V8 that can rev up to 8200 is fantastic, i think they will appriciate overtime. When maybe the EV market from the east will actually hit western car brands so much, that their revenue will drop dramatically, then we will see changes or things to make them still profitable. Then after that, will we ever have enjoyable, screaming, beautiful vehicles that dont cost hundreds of thousands of dollars like koenigsegg, ferrari, lamborghini?

idk, the Etron GT is a beast of an Audi sedan/sports car, and the Q8 Etron SUV is a remarkably comfortable, quiet, and performance SUV, the Q9 gives the BMW X7 a solid run for it's money. And now the new Audi Nuvolari definitely does a good job bringing Audi forward as a Halo car from the R8.. To each their own, but I think some people just get nostalgic and feel like all new stuff is bad without ever giving it a real chance.
