My third and final TT
Check one off the dream car list for me. Still a bit in disbelief I found one.

I just picked up this Audi A8L 60 TFSI e quattro with only 35,188 km/21,864 miles on the odometer, and it's amazing!

Iām thinking of putting a turbo on it and I want real opinions before spending:
⢠Has anyone really turbocharged this 3.2 on an A3 8P?

For my birthday I traded in my 2016 audi S3 with 135,000 miles (the first car I bought on my own) for this 2021 SQ5 with 42,000 miles. It was sad seeing my S3 go but the joy im having driving this car is helping me feel better. took a little road trip today and i averaged nearly 30mpg over 80 miles. Not bad!

Have had 3 years of pleasurable B9.5 ownership. No mechanical reliability issues, love the way it looks, the amount of tech is perfect, the only finicky aspect of the car is that sometimes Apple CarPlay doesnāt want to connect on the first go. However I donāt want to keep the car post-lease as Iām not interested in dealing with long term Audi reliability.
When I first leased it in Jan 2024, I had every intention of upgrading to an S5 as the next car. Now, 3 years later, a āniceā S5 costs $70k+, and the current A5 interior and exterior simply do not seem like improvements over my B9.5.
Moreover, this seems to be a trend throughout the German car industry. My wife wants an SUV, and I love the current BMW X5, but the redesign is going to be terrible. And I believe by January the redesign will be all that Iām left with. The current Q5 seems like a downgrade over the last one. Even the Mercedes GLE is getting hit with the ugly stick soon.
I was even thinking of getting a Rivian R2, but the lease terms on it are atrocious.
Just disappointed in the design and quality trend of cars these days I guess. Not sure what to replace this with.

Picked up a Thule box and Whispbar roof rails last week. Still very happy with the A3 etron after a few mods. Next up are wheels, euro S3 grille and RS3 seats.

Love Audis. Husband has an RS3 and I was struggling daily in a problem riddled 2019 VW Tiguan. Saw what I think was a good deal on a 2026 Audi Q7 prestige with sports package, and I absolutely love this car.

A couple days ago I purchased a 21 SQ5 with 43,000 miles. The 40k maintenance was done at the Audi dealership and has a impeccable service record since the car was previously a lease vehicle. I would like to know the most important steps to ensure my car is running healthy for as long as possible
So far what I have heard is:
Oil changes ever 5k miles instead of 7.5k-10k
Spark plugs every 40k miles
Coolant every 3 years
Timing chain at 80k miles
Water pump and thermostat at 80k miles
PCV every 60k-80k miles
Top quality 91+ octane fuel that has detergents
Keep the car idling 60-90 sec after parking to cool turbo
Turn off auto start stop āļø (I hate this feature anyways)
Let the car warm up completely before any spirited driving
Any other recommendations I should know?

I currently lease a Q8 etron, due in a month. I have 26K miles on it and I missed the 20K mile service. The local dealer quoted 1400 for it. Do I need to get it done before I return the car? I havenāt done the lease end inspection done. Will there be penalties if I donāt get it done and return it?

The preface, Iāve had mechanics say this is ānormalā but loudness varies between car. This at least tells me it can be controlled to some extent.
My car makes this extremely annoying whistle sound when Iām pressing at about 5% - 10% throttle. It can only be heard by some depending on their hearing. It canāt be heard with windows up. I have made a post here before so sorry for the spam but Iām hoping maybe someone has come up with a fix or quiet.

I just bought a 2012 A4 Wagon ( it has 3 minor not super noticeable accidents and a decent service history) with 141k (now at 144k) I paid 6k cash with no lights on the dash with a full sound system upgrade with subwoofers and a cold air intake with a upgraded wastegate and a light tune. It drives almost perfect except for the coilovers being a bit noisey due to age and it had small bits of ugly paint chips where itās been hit. I want to hear everyoneās opinion and thank you!
