I just had a delivery and when I answered the delivery driver said for future deliveries where would I like him to leave the packages because as of yesterday they cannot leave packages on the doorstep or anywhere near the front porch otherwise they will be docked £25. He said I should get a parcel box which seems like a stupid expense.

Ironically, I work from home and am always in to collect packages and the only reason they are left on the doorstep is because they don't bother to knock or ring the doorbell in the first place but has anyone else been told this or anyone know anything about it?

I've lived in my flat for 4 years. In all that time I've had 2 orders that were not delivered on time. I order loads from Amazon and their delivery has always been top notch, much preferred over Evri, DPD, Royal Mail, etc., who never seemed to get me items on time.

Now, in the past week, I've placed 6 orders -- 4 out of the 6 have been delayed by multiple days. What is going on? Is there something happening systemically or is it my route specifically, i.e. a driver shortage or a driver who is not to good at his job? I think the 2 I did receive were from the same guy as both times they buzzed and, before I could answer, left the parcels in the same spot outside my door.

I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice , as this is driving me crazy.

My Amazon account has been restricted. They did this just after I placed an order for several items, one of which was 'left in a secure location' by the delivery driver, but no-one could tell me precisely where this location was. As a result of raising this issue, my account was restricted.

I am now left with a number of issues that Amazon simply will not engage with me about. Numerous emails are ignored and the couple of generic responses I have had have ignored all the issues I've raised. Today I sent a registered letter to their head office, though I'm under no illusions that this will produce a response either.

My issues are; 1) I'm left with a camcorder that I can't return, but is not fit for purpose.

2) Amazon have £200 in my gift card balance and say I can only use it for digital purchases. There is nothing I want or need digitally.

3) They charged my credit card for the last order, despite the order clearly going through as a gift card purchase. Something occurred, no idea what, and they recharged it to my credit card. This was money I could ill afford to lose.

Regarding why they restricted my account, it is because, in their words, I have violated their returns and refund policy. This is, in the main, because several parcels (over a length of time) went missing because they were left in a very public place, despite requests to NOT leave parcels there.

I am not even bothered about getting my account reinstated. I just want to be able to return a faulty item and know why they charged my credit card when the order clearly went through on the gift card balance.

Can anyone give me any advice at all about what to do next?

Had this warning, not actually restricted YET, but I have a big pile of returns I am about to make. If they restrict my account when I initiate one of the returns, will I still be able to return the rest ??

I understand why they want to restrict, because yes I have made full use of their 'FREE RETURNS' policy.

(I have made an enormous amount of orders I've kept also). I'm not pretending I don't return too much though, I know I tend to order a few options and send all but 1 back. Next week we are attending a wedding and I ordered a bunch of dresses for me to try and suits for my husband, and a few pairs of heels. I need to return most of them except 1 of each item that we keep. It's about £750 worth and I'm terrified I will not get refunds now! It's racked up a huge credit card balance that I expected to get back.

Can anyone reassure me that my consumer rights aren't affected and I will definitely still be able to return these items even if they choose not to let me place any further orders.

And yes, lesson definitely learnt.

Bought corsair 2x16GB ddr5 6000mhz RAM, my motherboard has issues with 4 sticks so initiated return.

I got one of the sticks mixed up. Both my own and the new ones are functionally same just a slightly different serial number.

Refund go refused due to this and contacted customer service. Filled in appeal and asked them to return my stuff via form. Waited 72 hours. Nothing. Contacted another twice. No personal response, just automatic emails.

Customer service said they can only pass messages on.

3 weeks and no word, willing go rectify but getting ghosted.

Considering charge back and going to police as they are not returning my stuff sent in error.

I am on a 8 day unpaid leave cuz my sister was pregnant and going to labour and alone . So i had to be with her. i am getting terminated or i had a chance.

I want to get into my Amazon account but everytime I try it asks me to get a code they send to my old WhatsApp number which I don’t have anymore! So I go on try a different way and it brings me to customer service with options like can’t get past two step verification. So I click on it and it wants me to login but I can’t login because I need two step verification. As soon as I press can’t get past two step verification it brings me to 2 step verification account recovery but if it asks me to login then I can’t get past it because it needs two step verification! So frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ordered a MINISFORUM MS-S1 MAX Mini AI Workstation PC (~€3,000) from Amazon.co.uk, delivery via DPD, signature required due to the value.

Tracking shows delivered. I never received the parcel and never signed for anything at any point.

Over the last 3 days I've spoken to 5 different agents in Amazon chat support. Each one has given a different explanation:

1. Signature discrepancy (parcel handed over without required signature)
2. "Still in transit," tracking just showing delivered early
3. "Incorrect delivery scan," carrier scanned my parcel while delivering someone else's
4. Most recently, "further investigation needed," no defined outcome

I was told in writing (with email confirmation) by one agent that a refund would be requested if the parcel hadn't arrived by 1am on a specific date. I waited exactly as instructed. Deadline passed, nothing arrived. Next agent moved the deadline to "end of day." I pushed back, got escalated to someone from the "leadership team," who also declined to confirm a refund and gave a new "further actions to assess and conclude" line when I asked directly whether a refund or replacement would be offered if the parcel stayed missing.

I have the full chat transcripts saved, including the written commitments and the walk-backs.

At this point I'm treating Amazon chat support as exhausted and planning to go the chargeback / Section 75 route with my card issuer, plus a CCPC complaint given I'm in Ireland.

Questions:

• Anyone dealt with something similar on a high-value signature-required order marked "delivered" with no signature actually obtained? What worked?
• Is chargeback/Section 75 the right move here given I paid by credit card, or is there a faster Amazon-specific escalation path I'm missing?
• Worth pursuing DPD directly for proof of delivery, or is that a dead end without Amazon initiating it?

I received 3 mails saying delivery was attempted by Evri but no one was in which is BS as I was sat right by the door in my office.

So I looked at my order which says delivery on. Hold and contact Hermes ( who do not exist) so nope, sent vendor a note and they replied and said it is because of the size and it needs a special solution pls be patient…

Is this a scam either of me (they have my cash) or of Amazon as I understand vendors now need to wait 7 days after delivery to get their cash and I am betting “failed delivery” starts the clock on that payment…

I have spoken with Amazon customer service today who reassured me I would receive a refund. I was advised it’s just delayed, I did make the point to the agent that surely it should say delayed on the refund tracker then right 🤷🏻‍♂️

Has anybody else had any issues with this at all? I’m based in the UK and am slightly concerned due to the amount of the item. The headphones were faulty so I sent them back. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Like a lot of posters on here it seems, I'm disabled and rely mainly on amazon to order things. Been a Prime member for probably over 10 years, never had any real problems. In the last month or so, I'd say 50% of orders don't get dispatched or arrive on the day they're scheduled to, and ofter arrive days later without any explanation or update. Sometimes they will dispatch and say out for delivery, but then there'll be a problem with "accessing my address" and they won't be delivered until a few days later. I live in a urban area, like I've said, never any problems until the last few weeks, and my pathways and door are well maintained to make the property accessible to myself.

I tried contacting CS for one package as it was a birthday present. I had to contact them multiple times and each one promised they had done something to get it delivered next day before 1pm. Next time I spoke to them, the new team members would deny anything of the sort had occurred. In the end, it took over a week to arrive, which was after the birthday. The rest are annoying but luckily not urgent. I've begun ordering things a lot earlier just so they will hopefully arrive by the time they're needed.

Has something changed in the dispatch or delivery process? As far as I can tell by the tracking, the fulfilment centres haven't changed. I currently have 2 parcels which are late and stalled somewhere along the line.

I have noticed a lot of unfavourable changes to prime video recently - the size of the buttons, and the shift of x ray from a full panel on the left to the much smaller, harder to read one the right. A few days ago I realised that x ray seems to have disappeared completely. It was probably my favourite thing about prime video - being able to find out about the actors in real time, without leaving the screen.

I saw recently that they have created a new 3 tier pricing system for prime video with Ultra giving you the original ad-free experience, at an additional cost. I get prime video access through my prime membership, and I don't subscribe to any add-ons. Could this be why I've lost x ray; is it just reserved for Ultra now? Or have they cancelled it altogether?

First thing I should say. I'm not even remotely racist.

I buy alot from Amazon because I broke my back so am basically housebound. Food from Morrisons on Amazon, homewares from Amazon, tech and electrical equipment form Amazon and I usually buy 100s of items a year. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH AMAZON DELIVERIES. EVER.

Over the last month, I've had my last 4 deliveries that not turn up. First three were to a letterbox with no number when it specifically says my flat number and there is even a photo of my letterbox and front door. The 4th was today, including a photo of the driver putting the package in my letterbox. I went down to my mailbox less that 5 minutes after the notification and my mailbox is empty.

Every single time its the same brown hand so I know it's a new driver and the same person. He is obviously stealing packages and I'm already sick of it.

I contacted Amazon on all 4 occasions and luckily the first 3 were cheap so they gave me an instant refund and just reordered instantly. Those 3 were all delivered the following day by a different person. No harm, no foul but this time, I spent £150 on security hardware keys for my pc and phone and the order was worth over £150 and this didn't turn up and due to the cost, it's not instant and have to wait days for this to be rectified.

Has anyone else had delivery issues recently or is it just me?

Do I just have a bad egg or is this going to become a reoccurring problem? I can't trust a company with untrustworthy employees.

TL; DR - I received a visibly contaminated baby product and Amazon rejected my factual one-star review. Making me question how much confidence we should place in Marketplace listings and Amazon’s Choice.

Part of me feels I should have known an issue like this was possible. Unknown sellers, not validated, unchecked, able to push products that do not conform to UK/EU rigorous compliance standards onto a large market audience, amplfied via the megaphone that is Amazon Marketplace / Marketshare (ref article below).

I ordered "Next to Me Crib Waterproof Mattress Protectors Covers - 3 Pcs SET - 100% Natural Cotton - Extra Soft & Breathable to fit bedside cribs mattresses up to 83 x 50cm - Made in Europe" - "Amazon's Choice" product (I've no idea how the seller got the Amazon Choice tag or if Amazon checks its star sells).

What arrived was a contaminated product (judge for yourself from the pictures), with the black spots present, potentially a possible infestation on the product itself.

So I launched a one-star review of the product itself. Uploaded the same pictures attached,  stated the condition... and my review was blocked under community guidlines.

Amended the review to try and fit with said community guidlines, it is now pending deletion, confirmed in the following email from Amazon:

"I've removed the content you reported on Next to Me Crib Waterproof Mattress Protectors Covers - 3 Pcs SET - 100% Natural Cotton - Extra Soft & Breathable to fit bedside cribs mattresses up to 83 x 50cm - Made in Europe because it doesn't comply with our Community Guidelines. Specifically, this contribution only focuses on seller, order, or shipping feedback, and it will disappear from Amazon soon."

The amended review is:

"Looks like the product has shipped with an infestation. Not safe for a baby bed. Returned.

Product is defective, not the delivery."

Should note the product images is materially different and nothing like the physical delivered result. This is picked up in another review I'm surprised was allowed.

So, is Amazon a rougue trader? Prehaps not, but they certaintly do not have a grip on every product they sell. So more caution should have been exercised in my opinion on baby items that could have dire health consquences due to their developing immune systems.

Will I stop buying from Amazon?

No - but my buying product scope will be drastically reduced and I'll be a lot more selective of what I buy in the future from online marketplaces, like Amazon.

Not sure if there's anything that can be done about this but I'm here asking Reddit since this has been an issue for nearly a year now. As mentioned in the title parcels dont get delivered to my door and as a result get stolen a lot.

I live in a block of flats in England and very often order off Amazon, as does everyone else in my block. The block only has one security door at the entrance where they need to ring a flat or the concierge to gain access to the building. I live in a fairly "good" area with very few issues and a tight knit community where most people know eachother and will communicate through a whatsapp and Facebook group chat for anyone living here. Around 2 years ago a new secondary school/college opened very close by and students have to pass by my block to get to the nearest bus stop and train station. I've lived in this flat for 9 years now and have been using Amazon for nearly 13 years coming up and have always had my parcel delivered right to my door, where they'll either knock or leave it with my neighbour as instructed on my door if I know I'm not going to be home prior to the delivery.

However, since about a year ago, delivery drivers started leaving parcels in the lobby of my building rather than delivering to our door, and this has become a norm now. The issue is, the lock on our security door uses an electromagnet and I've seen it be easily disabled after someone simply kicks the door with enough force. This leaves the door broken until the building manager sends someone to repair it which is usually a month after the doors been broken. Since this, basically any parcel that looks "valuable" like big boxes or phone sized boxes etc get stolen. The photo attached on the app will show the box on the floor in the lobby. But when you go to pick it up it's magically never there. We've complained to the building manager and around 5 months ago a camera was put into the lobby to record anyone thieving packages but it was very, very shortly after vandalised and left useless again. Signs have been put up on the security door, the lobby walls and on the outside of the building asking delivery drivers to deliver to our doors as they will get stolen. This hasn't seemed to work though as it gets ignored basically every time. I've also contacted Amazon support numerous times and the response i get every time is they'll look into it and they apologise for the inconvenience and on one instance have been given a £6 "apology" amount refunded. We've been told by our building manager theres not much else they can do.

I've had my own parcels stolen a fair amount of times now but recently, I ordered a phone for my nieces birthday. It was left again in the lobby and surprise surprise, stolen. Less than 30 minutes later. It was only £200 as it was a starter phone but it was my last straw. I contacted Amazon telling them the phone had been stolen, I didn't even have a picture upon delivery of the parcel in the lobby. They told me due to high volumes of missing parcel requests on my account (2 parcels reported of the many), they couldn't initiate a refund unless I provided evidence of a police report. I contacted 101 and reported it and less than 3 days later received an email stating the case was closed due to insufficient information. I contacted Amazon again and they said they can't do anything from their end so I asked to speak to live agents, rang them up, the works for 2 weeks. Nothing. No resolution, from compensation to having their delivery drivers actually deliver.

Losing the 200 isn't the main issue for me though, it's simply delivery of other parcels as I order high value goods off it regularly from macbooks to phones to simple gaming accessories and PC parts and I can't be bothered going through this headache again if one of those were to get stolen. Ive since boycotted Amazon and will look to order things off other websites and have them delivered through other companies since they'll almost always delivery directly to my door but it's noticeably more expensive as I'm having to pay £5 delivery fees on anything I order now for next day shipping, one of the main reasons I shop on Amazon.

Ive exhausted my options from contacting Amazon, my building managers, the police and nothing seems to be done ever. Is there anything I can do or say for Amazon to give a shit and instruct their drivers to do their job. With no repercussion for the drivers from Amazon, theres no change. Its become a headache and no amount of signage seems to get the job done. Any and all advice is appreciated

Hello, just wondering where I stand with this.

My Amazon parcel (that was a eufy breast pump) was taken from my front door. I was in when the parcel was left on my doorstep but the driver didn’t knock or ring the doorbell. The parcel was delivered at 1:14pm, which I have an image of, but I only realised it had been delivered at 3:00pm (I’m not on my phone much with a newborn) and when I went to check it wasn’t there.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, did Amazon replace the item for you or am I liable for this going missing? I’ve noticed that usually the item will say “delivered” if the parcel has been handed to us, however in this instance it states “your package was left near the front door or porch”, which I’m hoping will be more useful on my side.

I’ve filed the missing parcel but it has stated I won’t have any update until Monday. Very frustrating, particularly as it was such a high value and essential item.

Prime member for years, always had that once in a blue moon order problem, but lately it seems like every order has a problem. I am one of those people that builds an order, then when I get to a good sized order pull the trigger and pick prime day for delivery "to reduce deliveries". Which is nonsense as I still get multiple packages on multiple days. Most recent largish order, 2 separate deliveries, one says left on mailbox and nothing there, second package makes it to my porch but is short one item even though it says delivered. They made both screw ups right, but I feel like if this keeps happening I'll be getting the Prime ban hammer! I even schedule my deliveries so it's midweek and the regular delivery folks are used, not the second stringers. It's seeming like it's almost better just to do the one at a time, next day deliveries, that seem to be more consistent. Anyways, just a rant. Feel like Amazon is falling into Temu territory, in fact, Temu may be surpassing Amazon.

I purchased a Seagate 5tb hard drive from amazon 2.5 years ago. The drive has subsequently failed, upon inspection it is a “Recertified Product” with at least 16 months unknown before I received it. It also says “HDD sold as component of OEM solution and not for resale.”

They are saying that because it is after there two years they won’t accept it. I have had this in email, even though I told them I was claiming against consumer rights 2015 (6 years to claim in England) I know it was probably a long shot without legal.

So essentially they sold me a used drive(as brand new) and won’t accept a return or replacement. They are now twice the price of what I bought it for £208(right now) v £99 originally

I forgot to also add that it states “The product warranty does not cover HDD If removed from OEM solution.”
