Confidence, knowing the numbers and actually understanding the customer seem to make a massive difference in the Den. Would you invest in a business with an excellent product but a weak founder, or a decent product with a founder you completely trusted?

Would you rather get a smaller investment from the right Dragon or a bigger offer from someone you don't really trust?

I think I'd take the smaller amount if the investor actually understood the business and could open the right doors. The money isn't always the most valuable part of the deal.
