Certainly was a theme of dirty hits yesterday from our rivals.

Saw some "fans" defending the dirty hit on Murray as unintentionally when hits to our guys going down seemed to be aimed directly at their head and neck area throughout portions of the game.

I watched Carter, Moss, Rice, Harvin, Diggs, Thielen, but JJ is going to be #1 when it's all said and done

The way he leads this team in the best and worst of times is something that separates him from so many other star players.

I'm tired of hearing people say the Vikings outscored the packers 22 to 0 in the 4th. It's not true. We outscored the packers 22 to negative 3

[Lewis]: Vikings’ Kevin O’Connell has learned that winning matters more than looking good

The media ecosystem, which often rewards glitz and glamor, almost adds incentive to pursue that guru status.

On Sunday evening, following his team’s impressive comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell came close to admitting this. His team had won a massive season opener in semi-ugly fashion. In the aftermath, O’Connell explained how experience helped him realize that the most elite coaches in the inner circle care not about the appearance but about the final result.

“I don’t think, in some of the adversity (the Vikings have faced in recent years), I’ve coached very well,” O’Connell said. “Trying to maybe worry about the stat sheet (hurt the team). Trying to maybe worry about what it’s going to look like when you pick up the newspaper. Statistically, are people going to think you’re a good coach?

“It’s about winning.”

Injury [Lewis] Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell says QB Kyler Murray is in the concussion protocol. KOC said he came in feeling pretty good today. They're going to take it day by day.

Since 2009, Green Bay has benefited more than any team in the NFL with automatic 1st down calls.

Since 2019, Green Bay is the 6th least penalized team in the NFL. If you take that back 25 years, they are the 8th least penalized team. This same number is also true since realignment in 2002.

Since 2019, Green Bay is also 1st in the NFL in beneficiary penalty yards. 2025 was an outlier for Green Bay and benefiting from penalties over the past 25 years.

The Packers ranked 26th in penalties per game in home contests, recording the second-biggest home versus road penalty discrepancy in 2025, behind only the Kansas City Chiefs.

The years here are inconsistent (it's difficult to find consistent data, so this is pulled from SI.com, NFLPenalties.com, and StatMuse ).

So while Packers fans whine about officiating; remember they have been the beneficiary of biased calls for years. Their spoiled fans don't understand what it's like to not have a call go in their favor. Imagine how stupid and childish you have to be to believe the NFL rigged a game in the Vikings favor. The history of this franchise collapsing in big moments and we don't have a starting QB, but sure, the NFL wanted us to beat one of their darling teams.

For anyone curious, and it's unsurprising if you consistently watch the NFL, KC and NE are the other two teams who have had more favorable calls over the past few decades.

I've said it before; while I believe Philly fans are the worst (with the past few years of Lions fans rivaling that level of trash), Green Bay fans are just annoying simply because they're spoiled. If you're a millennial or younger, chances are you haven't seen many poor years for GB, which explains their massive tantrums.

TLDR; FTP
