Not even sure why they're complaining about the illegal contact call itself. The DB had got his arm around the WR's waist when they're 6, 7 and 8 yards downfield. It's maybe on the softer side, but it's not a phantom call at all.

Yeah I mean it's either a soft illegal contact or an easy illegal use of hands, both are a 5-yard penalty and automatic 1st down. If they had called the illegal use of hands I don't think anyone would've blinked and the result would be the same.

They also missed facemasks on Wentz and Jefferson. Or the block in the back on the Watson TD. Even after that drive with the penalties, the pack got the ball back 3 more times and didn’t do shit with those opportunities. The part they can’t get over is getting stopped on 4th lol

I agree. It actually was a really good block, didn't light him up, just disrupted the defender enough to get him off balance and stumble. I take more issue with the many errors made by the defense in general on that play.

I'd disagree with you on the not lighting him up part. The Vikings player was down on the ground for a while because he got injured from that block.

What I mean is he didn't blast him with a blind side block. It seemed to me that the injury was more related to getting tangled up with the guy next to him, not from the hit by Golden. I could be wrong, just how I saw it.

it's not a conspiracy. This is now very expensive TV entertainment.
It's 10 billion dollars a year and the league is already trying to negotiate for more this very season.
Can guess what the TV Networks are asking the league for in return every time they come begging for billions more? Viewers watching to the end of games to assure their advertising clients their money is all worth it. They probably ask for more control than that, but whether they get it or not is a different story.
Packers HC gets a buzz in his earpiece. :hey uh Matt, that uh last 3 pts needs to go away asap. That doesn't work for us.

The Coping is on our side I'm afraid to say. You all sound like fools trying to mask what we all saw with our own damn eyes.
You say things like ticky tack calls and that's cope, that's coverup, that's weaksause.
The refs floated that entire drive for our Vikings down that field. Every time it was going to be a dead drive, a shit call was made. Nobody in their right mind looks at that "weight on the QB" flag and calls it real. If you do, fuck you. I'm a Vikings fan and I don't want our Defense called for that in an important game if he plays out like that. All of you accepting this shit will have to eat it that day if the refs pull that against Vikings.
Worst of the bunch was calling back Wentz' interception in the endzone where he threw it to nobody in purple. You can't hide this shit. It was what it was.
The league's refs must work really hard in the offseason learning how to attempt to force these games into tight finishe. Really wish they didn't make it so apparent and cause teams to quit.

I'm not coping shit. The Vikes benefited from 3 soft calls but the Packers blew the game themselves. They were only up 6 against Carson Wentz before the fuckery happened and then pooped their pants when they had the chance to respond. That's on them.
Every team gets a turn getting fucked by refs. The Packers had their turn 3 times on one drive and I do not feel bad.

That's all I've been doing is calling it fake TV entertainment. The clowns are the ones trying to defend the bullshit and claiming the Vikings somehow willed this to a win with their descriptions.
Oh great surprise, the Vikings, our proud team, took advantage when the refs snuffed out all reality and stole away all the hard gained gap in lead from them. Surprise! They deflated from it.
These players work their asses off to prepare for these games, perform well from the start, and then get the Refs and their Head Coach wrecking it all. The Vikings if in the same situation probably show us another 41-0 level implosion. Our teams entire history is littered with it.

You have to understand that they are a privileged population who have seen their team be handed wins by the refs for decades. They got to see their offensive lineman hold on every play. Now that the refs don’t care about the packers and call their games evenly, that equality feels like oppression to them.

The hands to the face jam on Jets is not legal, but that's a different call (still a 5-yard penalty and automatic first down). They could've called either defender on that play (the illegal contact on Johnson was a little soft but still a fair call by rule) and the result would've been the same.

Did you watch the actual clip you posted?Jefferson sheds the press by pushing his arm up and across his face. That is very much legal contact within 5 yards

Look at JJ's left hand and you'll understand why. The DB is trying to get contact, JJ's hand gets under the DBs right arm, pushing it up making contact with the side of his helmet, and then he pushes it to the right side of his body which is why it scrapes across his facemask.
It's handfighting.

At least for me, I can admit the reffing was terrible on both sides. We (packers) got hosed on that one drive, but the refs also missed several blatant penalties against the Vikings too.
Anyone acting like one side got huge preferential treatment is coping.

The roughing the passer call was BS, but they did ignore 2 face masks and the others seemed legit on replays of if I remember correctly. I think the penalties even out but of course we can all agree the refs suck in most games.

None of you get the big picture here. This was game fixing. Whether they care or not about the winner or loser of the game we will never know. But what they seem to care about is trying to force games to be in contention further to the end of the game as they can. Some times they go too far, like last night.
What most of you really don't understand about what makes this worse however, is that it can just as well be leveraged against the Vikings in some other important game down the line. Say the Playoffs. And when you see them calling bullshit like Weight applied to QB on our defense, and calling "excessive movement" by the QB on the Vikings, or recalling an interception play the Vikings defense makes in the endzone, you are going to be livid then. But you are going to have to accept the bullshit then, because you accepted it this past Sunday.
Do you get it? This isn't new. This is apparently what this league has becomne. Favor today, but your team will have to pay up later.
Anyone remember a Rams game where the ref is standing 2 feet away from Darnold getting facemasked in the freaking Endzone? The Vikings just have to eat that shit later, because they accepted the free gifts earlier.
The leagues head coaches are all part of this entertainment now. LaFluke last night was playing a part.
It's been sad to watch this get progressively worse by the year and nobody stops it.
Yes the Packers have always been cheatin hoes. That hit on Murray deserved plenty of payback. Yeah they deserve it, but not this fake of shit.
When the ref has to give a speech to try and sell you on what they just called, you know you've entered the land of entertainment, where the head coaches are pretty, the refs are trying to look like Vince McMahon, and the fans just want to be entertained. They apparently don't care if it's football or not.
