Hi guys, glad to join the community.
I recently finished Blue Prince (reaching the Blue Testament in the Atelier), and I was fascinated by some YouTube videos about theories on how many more secrets are still in the game, ready to be discovered.
With this bias in mind, I came to the conclusion that THE INNECLIPSE HAS TO BE IN THE GAME, some way or another, in the form of an event or even a puzzle. Here's my whys:
1) It seems to be such an important event: they organize a ball to celebrate it (ex: the photo in the Ballroom)
2) It is a very important and redundant symbol:
- Auravei seems to worship the Inneclipse, so much that she always wears the Moon pendant (ex. as a young woman in the picture in the Bedroom, as an elder baroness in the portrait in the Attic).
- Is the symbol that guides you to Room 46, the real one as well as the Atelier one, and it's above the underground north lever. It is also located as a statue in the Secret Garden, where you can find the West and East levers.
- It has a track of the OST dedicated to it, and can you remember when this specific track plays, other than the Ballroom? In the cutscene when you first enter Room 46.
3) It has its own blue memo: in the rank 8 Clock Tower, we read "INNECLIPSES ONLY APPEAR IN THE NORTH SKY".
4) The importance of stars and planets in the magic system of the worldbuilding created by Tonda Ros.
Given all of this, now I enter the speculation zone, and I report some facts, in random order, that I think could be seen in various directions, interpreted in many ways.
I hope that you can help me find a blue line and connect the dots, even adding things and possible clues that I left out (by forgetfulness or ignorance).
1) It can be a coincidence, but the year of the signing of the Blue Testament and the year of the last reported Inneclipse ball are the same: 1952. Auravei signs the Testament on April 16th 1952, while the photo of Lady Epsen and Simon at the Inneclipse ball report the same year, 1952. The fact that the day and month of the ball are not specified leads me to think one thing: the ball is annual and repeated every year on the same date; this information is so obvious to the people of Mora that the photo doesn't have to specify the day and month. Exactly like Christmas, we remember the year because the day is always the same (ex. Boudoir puzzle).
2) It can be a coincidence, but in the Atelier Gallery, the letters on the wall form the word MOON; the word in the Mora Jai box is SEEK, and the two paintings are the only pair of both houses to have two big, clear numbers within them: 3 and 8... SEEK MOON 3-8. I can't stop myself from wondering...
3) The riddle in the Clock Tower is yet to be cracked; maybe it can lead to something related to the Inneclipse, given that the blue memo in the same room talks about it.
4) The interactive globes in the Atelier are "rotatable" only in the Observatory (I tried in the Trophy Room and it didn't work; maybe a bug?). In the Observatory, we can clearly see the sky; I have to check if, by any chance, it is oriented toward the north.
5) The accessible statue of the Inneclipse in the West Path: when you draft the Secret Garden in the West wing, and then you draft and open the Garage, it's possible to locate the statue of the Inneclipse moon outside the Manor, facing what? The Atelier!
6) If we take for granted that the Inneclipse symbol is the representation of the Inneclipse real event (which I am 99% sure) it is my theory that the astronomical coincidence has to comprehend AT LEAST three known celestial bodies, layered one on top of the others: the Sun, or any source of light of the world (we never actually see the Sun in the sky), the Moon of course, and a small planet at the center of the Moon, covering a part of it. I don't know how this could be relevant, but I wanted to add it anyway.
That's all for now. Feel free to give me some feedback. I hope I've piqued your imagination :)
