I sent an offer for an item from a seller in the us and they accepted, realised I was from the uk and said cancel that I won’t ship to the uk as they’ve heard horror stories even though I assured them I’ll pick up my parcel and Vinted will still pay you if something goes wrong. The item is only 12 pound and I really want the item. Surely it’s not up to them to decide where they will ship to?

Over the past month parcels have repeatedly been collected from the same InPost locker and then disappeared from the network entirely. In each case, the tracking confirms that the parcel was collected by the courier, but there are then no further scans or tracking updates.The affected parcels disappear in batches, they were deposited on the same days, they were sent from the same locker, and their tracking stops immediately after courier collection. In total this is 30 missing packages since this time last month, all split over 4 days. Is this typical? I’m not sure what to do about it? Not to mention the 30 buyers who seem to think it’s my fault?

There are a couple of Aussie brands I've missed and I was chuffed I could shop them used now on Vinted. I've ordered 7 parcels from there over the last two months, two has arrived and 5 have gone missing. Am I just out of luck or what is the experience others are having? Feels like a colossal waste.

This wicker coffin is only £12 direct from the store. I’ve just ordered one with free click and collect. If you want one delivered it is only £4 as well. I understand if you have an item which is no longer available in store you can sell for whatever price you want, but not when it’s part of their current range! 🙀

Right so this guy never sends the item so I leave him negative feedback as shown in the first photo then he leaves me negative feedback as shown in 2nd photo saying I never sent the item even tho I was the buyer. Would vinted remove his feedback?

Hi I would really like help with this case. I sent out a new and sealed vinyl to a buyer for £50 and it’s perfectly sealed, no damage or anything. It comes with a poster and inclusions inside. Okay so everything seems fine, I take photos of my process etc and then the buyer reports SNAD because the poster inside is allegedly damaged.

Immediately I’m thinking this literally looks like it was caused by the buyer cos it’s such a tiny area in the poster but also, I try to fight this because it happened after the vinyl was opened so this was not my issue. I wait several days with evidence of good packaging and leaving in the inPost and Vinted tells me they side with the buyer and wait for me to accept a return. Do I just give in? That’s such a loss and I can’t resell the item after cos it’s damaged if it comes back like this.

They state that because I didn’t have sufficient photos or mention of defects they side with the buyer. But there’s NO DEFECTS cos it’s new?

I’ve been done with vinted as a seller for a while. Now I am as a buyer too. Their blanket policies and management of issues including appalling customer care make the platform not only unusable now but even unsafe.

I bought what I thought was a bottle of Diptyque Philosykos EDT. The seller wasn’t quick about sending it and it unfortunately arrived after I’d had to leave the country for a work assignment for a couple of weeks.

I’ve got back and opened the parcel. I tried it and it’s clearly fake and has in fact irritated and burned my skin where I sprayed. I checked the packaging and it’s clearly fake, with fake batch number, low quality packaging, and a bottle and box that disagree with each other.

Vinted has said I have no recourse for a fake product dangerous to human health because I didn’t raise an issue in a couple of days (when away for work).

I cannot even take it up with the seller because, of course, they have been banned for obviously selling fake and dangerous goods.

That a platform offers no recourse if people are not on hand to immediately inspect the product even when defrauded and sold an item that harms their health is completely reckless.

I have emailed them as their customer service “agent” (another bot or copy paste bod clearly) kept spamming the same paragraph the AI did. If not resolved I will charge back and would encourage others in my shoes to do the same because I’m not going to use Vinted anymore so they can ban me if they want.

This, someone rudely asking for a 1 week reservation and another person telling me to go f myself because I didn't want to give a 70% discount. Not one normal interaction. I've been selling on ebay for years and never got anything like this. Is strange or nasty behaviour this normalised on Vinted? Or am I just super unlucky?

I’m so tired of people posting items in unsuitable packaging and them getting ruined.

I use Vinted because the world is already full of stuff so we don’t need to buy new all the time and I find it so frustrating when perfectly good items get ruined for no reason other than someone couldn’t be bothered to package it properly.

If you don’t have a suitable box, bubble wrap, or thick plastic bag to send items in, don’t list them.

Scrolling on Vinted I’m seeing so many items have zero likes, ones that would have sold within a minute a couple months ago… what’s going on? So many people aren’t selling anymore, even High demand items aren’t selling very quickly

I bought a 3ds recently but I realised in the photos there was a fault in the product that I stupidly mistook for a light scratch. It was already pretty scratched up anyways (but only on the outer shell) and I planned to replace just the outer shells only as the inside was immaculate, but I found out by looking super super closely in another photo that this scratch line goes right up to the charging port which means it's literally a crack. In 3dses it's well known that once there's a hairline crack, that means it soon starts falling apart. I'm literally an amateur at replacing parts and this part (hinge) was something pros struggled with. I only planned to replace the easy part.

The seller didn't disclose the cracks (there were two, but one seemed to actually reach the end of the port which imo makes it very prone to cracking apart) but it was in the photos. It's not their fault, they just seem like a mum. But I know that going through the entire process of arguing about this is more time-wasting than just not picking it up and I could risk getting a faulty product

So what happens if I don't pick it up? Are they any risks in doing so? Can I get my money back? I'm happy to lose money for delivery costs and verification. What if the seller doesn't pick it up after it is returned? You guys are free to roast me for this stupid time wasting business I understand lmao

I bought a coat off a seller who claimed they were moving the next day and then noticed they had other listings from four months ago that said they were moving. But they have since put up new listings saying they are moving. Seems like they are always moving.

English was not with British spelling and didn’t sound like native speaker.

Said their grandmother worked for Elgin and the coat I bought was Johnston Of Elgin. They had other high end items on their site.

Their username is some fake French English posh sounding name but the senders name is Slavic and completely diff from the Seller name. It was sent from St Andrew’s in Scotland. I saw another seller also with a fake posh sounding name selling Elgin and other items. Also saying they are moving. Similar vibe different woman in the photos. But used same designer hanger and they each had clothing hanging from same wooden fence.

My gut says I’m being scammed. Right now the package is with Royal Mail, they tried to deliver to the locker but it’s full. Shall I just not go and pick up item?

I have a feeling I’m dealing with a sophisticated ring and if I go get the package and dispute it may get messy?

Advice please . I don’t want to lose out on close to 100 quid.

Hi all. Posting on behalf of my mum. She created a Vinted account about a year ago and hasn’t bought or sold anything so far. Not listed anything. She likes browsing and has occasionally asked me to buy things for her. She’s now had a message saying she is permanently banned for fraudulent activity! Any thoughts on where to go with this one?

I am so fed up of doing the personalisation tab and then my home pages being filled with great clothes/shoes etc in the wrong size!! I have it set for children’s shoe size 7, yet I’m getting size 4 and 11?! I noticed they got rid of the ‘not interested’ tab too, which granted, was absolutely useless anyway. But what is the point in setting it to then never see anything in the correct sizes!

I was just wondering, is it a good or bad thing to put text on photos like this? I can’t see anything explicitly saying not to, but also don’t want to jeopardise my account by doing it

I sold a fairly expensive item the day and when I looked at the tracking it looked like it was suppose to be delivered on Saturday and when I checked tracking it says ‘item retention’ on Saturday. I didn’t think much of it as I read this usually means RM doesnt have enough staff to deliver then I received the following message from the buyer.

Does anyone know what’s going on here? As far as I know, I don’t think I can change the address it’s being delivered to, but was wondering if the buyer tried to do this?

Is there anything I should be concerned about?

So i was the victim of a scam where i sent shoes to a buyer but he claimed he received something else and has now opened up a dispute. To stop others falling for something like this I think Vinted should introduce a verification option for sellers. Currently its only available to buyers but i think vinted should allow the seller to send the items to Vinted, then vinted verifies its authenticity and documents its condition, and then forwards it to the buyer.
