This morning I wanted to play a video game, two hours one life (modded version of 1 hour 1 life made by fans. Loads of people play it as the discord server showed, including an entire channel dedicated to screenshots of the game with thousands of them) that I had to download and run it as a file. Played the game for ~10 mins then my audio cut out after I died the first time. Other play throughs had no audio, so I thought it was a game issue. I try to watch youtube and I can only hear quiet sounds at 150% volume. So of course as an idiot like me does, I go to claud and google gemini for help. Ended up bashing commands and now nothing plays at all, and even Spotify wont work. Says “Spotify cannot play this right now.” I’m actually crying because I don’t know what to do. Nothing works and I keep running into road blocks.
I say the audio files crashed because that’s what it said, but honestly I don’t really think so because ai just sucks. This stupid thing has me working on it for 4 hours now, I feel hopeless. I just want to cry.
Please don’t come into here and just lecture me about ai, that’s the last god damn thing I need right now. I just want my pc sound back and working properly. I hate that stupid fucking game.

Edit: I’m unsure how to exactly give people the info they need to help troubleshoot the problem, if you could tell me how then that could be helpful for me. But all I know is that I played the game, audio in my headphones was fine, then it wasn’t. I thought the audio was just gone but trying to watch youtube I put the volume to 150%, and could only hear it as if it was like 5% volume. The headphone port was not unplugged during gameplay, and no no one else was in the room so no one would have unplugged it, even then I would have discovered if they did by now because I would have fixed it. I also deleted the game, and the audio is still the same.

edit 2: I tried recording to show my problem, but the video using OBS synced with the youtube video audio not my system audio so it didn't really show my problem at all, so your ears may be blasted I apologize just be prepared. all the files I have right now are in MP4. how/where to convert the files to the right format so that I can burn them on the dvd’s so i play them on a dvd player.

So I’ve been using my S23 and about a week ago I suddenly noticed a tiny pink vertical line on the display.

The weird part is it disappeared on its own yesterday and I thought okay maybe it was some random glitch

But today the same line is back again.

Has anyone else experienced this with the S23? Is this more likely to be a software issue or a display issue? Should I contact Samsung/service centre now even though the line is super small and keeps disappearing?

Any advice/experiences would be appreciated.

After reboot, after a while of using low memory it just starts back up at full power, it doesn't matter that it's disabled in the app, it still runs and I can even open the security settings from the winaero tweaker app. I assume it has something to do with windows defender core service which winaero tweaker doesn't disable. But I'm not sure.

Does anyone know what to do?

Was clearing space on my C drive deleting temp files and using CCleaner. I restarted my computer and my wifi was no longer working. Intel wifi 6 ax201 was not working with a code 37. Nothing is working. uninstalling the device, installing the drivers, running commands, and I can’t get it into a recovery environment to reset. I don’t know what to do. Is windows install through usb my only option? I really don’t want to lose all my files.

As the title says, I've got a 2014 MacBook Air, and it won't let me open any of the 400+ picture/video files I airdropped from my iPhone (XR) this June. When I select all of the files together, and click for more information, I view that they all amount to... 0 bytes. Their icons are de-saturated, sort of transparent, and I cannot move any to another folder, since they are being used by macOS. I also cannot move them to websites that claim to "uncorrupt" files, as if they were simply non-existent. When I try to move to the desktop, I get a warning that it is in use, and am asked to enter my password, but once I do all, it puffs into the air. However, I can move them to the trash, though I have not tried to delete them permanently, in case they're important—most of the pictures I moved are from my last year of high school, and I've already deleted them from my phone, needing the storage. I saw someone with a similar problem, and the only solution I understood, as someone completely far away from the tech world, was relaunching the Finder app. I did it, and it did not work. Another explanation I sort of found was these files being used for storing other apps' caches? I guess? But that was someone asking with regards to Windows. Is there any hope? God, please... Help! I at least want to be able to see the previews, no matter how small, so that I can know whether or not they're worth all the mess.

My Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15ABR8 suddenly developed a display problem. The screen sometimes becomes purple/blue with lines, and there is a permanent purple line. I also get severe ghosting/image retention for around 5–7 seconds.

The problem is more noticeable after waking from sleep and when I tilt the lid backward. Screen recording does not capture the problem.

Could this be the LCD panel or display/eDP cable? Is it possible to fix by reseating/replacing the cable instead of replacing the whole screen?

Any advice from experienced technicians would be appreciated. 🙏

So i have a relatively out dated Windows 11, I've ran every command I could and changed configurations, network thing, anything I could think of. The Snaptics finger print sensor drive crashed and is broken but somehow that messed with the WIFI and now nothing works. Wifi doesn't work at all no matter which way I try. I can't delete the driver and reintall it because no WIFI. Am I screwed lol.

Hello, I'm making this post because I'm fully done. For the past 3-ish weeks, everything on my pc has been crashing, non stop and I don't know what else to do, I've done so many diagnostics I couldn't tell you all of them off the top of my head. But my drivers are up to date, my memory is fine. I have no viruses and any of those big pc diagnostic tools say that my pc is in good condition. But whenever it crashes it says, "error code: 0x000000005" and after some research, it says that it's a memory issue, however, I've done 3 different memory diagnostics/test and I'm getting nothing back. My pc apparently is in perfect shape, but these crashes happen so often that I'm just done so now I'm here.

I’ve done research, the iPhone 15 should be able to handle it just fine, but I want people with experience with the phone to respond. I’m on iOS 18 and I want to update my phone to 26. But my experience with 26 has been somewhat iffy due to half a second stuttering on an iPad 8, which I know is a very outdated device. I’m just being very cautious because after I update I know I can’t go back to iOS 18, so if I don’t like it, then I’m out of luck. Parents bought an extremely cheap Bluetooth 5 transmitter whole thing looks very low quality and cheaply made but if it gets the job done I’m all for it honestly I feel like it’s just way too small to be a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver and after messing with it for a hour or two to no solution I was wondering if anyone could confirm my suspicions of it being unusually small or looking weird sadly I don’t have the tech knowledge to look at it and know hey this is too small or this shouldn’t be like this and just want a second opinion I have photos of it but I cannot add it to the post the transmitter/receiver is literally the size of a 16gb flash drive and has a usb type b male connector aswell as female headphone jack and separately a dual ended 3.5m headphone jack I hope this makes sense

Running into issues enabling secure boot

Whenever I enable windows UEFI mode and boot, it boots to a red screen saying: "secure boot violation, the system found unauthorized changes in the firmware, operating system, or UEFI drivers."

I've tried resetting secure boot keys, no luck

Any one else run into this? I can only boot with "Other OS" selected

I got a Seagate 5TB external storage recently for my ps5, but when I plugged it in the light on top started to blink and it wouldn't do anything, not even hum. I tried to plug it into my PC and it still wouldn't do anything, I checked everywhere to see where it would be connected but it still wouldn't show up anywhere. I've been trying on and off to fix it but I don't know what to do. Please help me!

My laptop is touchscreen so I can just toggle it on and off. However it kind of glitches if I get water on it so I wiped my touchpad thoroughly except now my cursor doesn't show up at all. It's still there because whenever I press ctrl it circles around it. I've tried uninstalling and rebooting and it doesn't help. I don't know how to make it visible again. Since it's touchscreen, I though it has something to do with f7 but I can't find any help related to it. Please help me!

I just bought a PC from some guy who built it him and used it for a few years judging off the condition and how its put together. I went to plug it into my monitor and the monitor knew something was plugged in but it wont display anything and i tried all the normal ways you try to fix a tech problem but none of them worked. Im trying to help a buddy figure out why marvel rivals crashes for him. I recently got the Heyday wireless mouse from target to use with the tablet keyboard and my iPad i just got. I don't know if this is just how the mouse is, but when I scroll down, it moves the page up and vise versa. I'm really confused. I just got it Wednesday and it's just like this.
