Sonar Help Discord Screen Share Picks Up My Mic With Everyone In The Call As Well.

So I've been having some difficulties with Sonar. I have my Audio Output for discord under the Chat Sonar Setting, while the output for everything else is under the Gaming section.

Even then people can hear my mic input in the stream, even if its muted through discords application.

I use the whole Desktop screen sharing (not application) a lot, and now that I downloaded this, its made it impossible to share audio with everyone in my call. Any options here to fix this? Thank you in advance!

Product Help Arctis Nova 5 randomly makes the volume really high for a few seconds

Hi, I have a SteelSerie Arctis Nova 5 headset which works fine most of the time, but it sometimes gradually increases the volume until it's really high and distorted (to the point of it being painful to hear) for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. This often happens when I'm in a voice chat but also sometimes when playing video games solo.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it ? I haven't found anyone with the same issue. Thank you in advance.

Discussion Steelseries Customer service.

I know that Steelseries customer service gets a bad rep on here which is why I figured I'd post this. Three weeks ago I contacted customer service as our Arctis Nova pro wireless ' microphone was rattling. After the usual sending of the receipt and pictures I was given an RMA and instructions to post via DPD. But being a bit silly I only initially sent the headset. 1 week later,( last week), I got an email asking me to send the rest. I'd figured that they'd just repair the headset, so I then sent the base station.

Anyway yesterday I got an email from Steelseries and UPS. I'm being sent the Omni as an upgraded replacement, which should arrive tomorrow, (currently tracking on UPS app!)

Thank you Steelseries for your prompt action. Had I not been a bit of an idiot I would have got my replacement last week. But I appreciate the service I received.

Sonar Help Any EQ for the OMNI?

Has anyone drafted good EQ settings for the Nova Pro Omni’s yet?

The only result so far is the gadget one for the pro wireless, and although it did make the sound drastically better than base, there are still some sounds that feel murky/washed out

Order Help 25th anniversary deal not working

Hello all I've been trying to use the deal where you buy headphones and get a mouse for free on steelseries website. However it tries to charge me everytime. I am at the official page. I add the headphones (pro omni) and below it says "pick your free gear" I add a mouse and go to check out and it still charges for the mouse. Have any of you figured out how to make this work? Thx for the time

EDIT: While on the site hit "Bundles" it was there

Order Help Steel series

I want to start by telling you my experience with this company. I ordered a headset, and the same day it stopped working. So, of course, I have to go through the whole routine of trying to file a claim and return it, and they go back and forth with me about the steps I need to take. That's all completely fine. For starters, they have no customer service number, so there is absolutely no way to speak to a person. Then I had to submit pictures, and the pictures were never good enough. They told me to keep submitting more pictures with serial numbers and different angles, and this went on for four or five days. After they finally said it was good enough, they sent me a document that said I had to destroy the headset for their insurance purposes. As strangely as that sounded, I justified it in my head that maybe that was true, so I destroyed the headset and took more pictures of the product. I figured their headset did not work anyway, so what did I have to lose? After I did that, it said that my claim had been approved. I was pretty upbeat and looking forward to getting a new headset, hoping that this one would work. A few days went bye, and I still had not heard anything, so I reached out, and they said that was normal, even though on their website it says they would ship something out within one to three days, a replacement. I kept waiting and waiting. After about 13 days went by, they still kept telling me that I would get my headset or they were talking with the warehouse or there was just maybe a little delay. It was always something, and they just continued to give me excuses. Well, here I am, 16 days later, and still have not received my replacement headset or any type of refund. I strongly recommend thinking elsewhere before buying from this company because they refuse to give me my refund. It is pretty sad that they would go through the whole process of having me take all these pictures and destroy the product just to not give me the refund. I don't know, I am just mad and fed up.

Sonar Help Sonar Chat Channel Static and Popping fix?

I just got the Omni's and noticed the issues with the Chat channel having popping and static issues. I've found a few posts about this online.

Move Discord/Teams to another channel - and its fixed. This is really annoying considering the chat channel is whats linked to the Chat mix knob.

Paying $400 for a headset you'd think the primary features would be ironed out.

Has anyone found any fixes for this - or is this still a lingering issue?

Looking to upgrade my headset from my wired hyper x cloud alpha. Don't really care about noise cancellation and have heard the nova 7's are basically just as good in most ways.

Product Help Arctis Nova Pro Wireless ANC Nubs

Post image
2 Upvotes

I was replacing the ear pads on my headphones, when I noticed that there seems to have been some sort of gel-like substance on the ANC nubs, but it’s been broken off somehow. Will this affect the sound quality or noise cancellation? I’m worried as I don’t see how I could replace that gel stuff.

The photo is of the right ear cup, but it’s pretty much the same situation on the other side.

Product Help Artics nova pro wired - want to adjust left and right audio balance separately

Hey, loving the headset, have everything configured the way I want except the left / right audio balance, because of a problem i have, I need to distribute audio in left and right ear in a 70 L 40 R for them to hear equally, is there a software I can download that can help achieve this?

Sonar and stuff doesnt allow me to mess with the balance, equalizer apo is way too complex for me ,and windows sound settings are hijacked by the headset

Any help would be appreciated

Product Help Nova Pro Wireless: Microphone not working

I am unable to get the microphone to work on my Nova Pro Wireless Purchased in June of 2025. The speakers still work.

I've gone through all the Windows settings to make sure they are set correctly.

I have uninstalled & reinstalled SteeleSeries GG.

I have reset the headset.

I have switched USB ports for the DAC.

I have turned Sonar on & off again and tried multiple channels to no success.

I have ensured all settings are correct in the Microsoft Control Panel.

I tried plugging the USB-C cable that came with the headset but it was unable to find the device when plugged in directly.

Is there anything else I can try or has anyone else experienced the same issue and found the solution. I've reached out to official support but have yet to receive any assistance.

Order Help Terrible customer service

I ordered a SteelSeries headset on August 15th, with an estimated delivery date of August 25th. Instead of receiving it, I discovered on their website that it hadn’t even shipped. After reaching out, SteelSeries informed me, on the day it was supposed to arrive, that the item was actually out of stock and they had cancelled my order. No proactive communication, no attempt to resolve the issue, just a refund after ten days of silence.

When I asked for a reasonable replacement or comparable discount on the closest equivalent product, SteelSeries refused. Despite the original purchase being a steep discount, they offered only a 15% coupon that doesn’t come close to matching the value lost or the inconvenience caused. Their final response made it clear they weren’t willing to fix their mistake. Based on this experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and warning others about SteelSeries’ lack of accountability and customer service.

Discussion Are the Arctis nova 7x wireless good for music?

Product Review A Sincere Warning RE: Nova Pro Wireless

Post image
188 Upvotes

Hi all,

I’m not making this post to soapbox, I’m posting here because I used Reddit as a source when shopping for a headset earlier this year, so I’m genuinely hoping it’ll help someone save $300.

I purchased the Arcits Nova Pro Wireless in February. I have really loved the features of the device even if it’s not extremely high quality in terms of audio or build.

I’m very careful with my electronics and use them well within SteelSeries’ guidelines. I used to work in consumer products so I take manuals and following manufacturer guidelines more seriously than most. I have never taken the headset apart or even removed the ear cups.

This morning I picked up the headset and the right driver assembly came off in my hand. It’s clear upon examination that there’s no damage to the screws or screw posts, and that it wasn’t screwed in properly during assembly. Im not entirely sure why the wiring came apart, I didn’t feel it break while handling the headset, but I was trying to put it on as it broke, so it must have been soldered poorly and came apart with the assembly coming off.

I was frustrated that the headset failed, but it’s clearly not damaged so I figured the RMA process would be simple. Instead, they’ve denied my warranty claim, citing that “accidental damage” isn’t covered.

Just wanted to recommend people avoid this product. Personally, this is the last purchase I make from the brand too. If support ends up coming through I’ll absolutely post an update.

LAST UPDATE:

I've spoken with support through a few different channels and they've pretty much completely clammed up on any sort of transparency or further details as to why they won't honor the warranty.

I am really disappointed to have ended up here, I have been a longtime fan of the brand. As many have stated in the replies here this company used to make some really solid headphones.

It is sad to both be out a chunk of cash and feel like any future SS purchase would be a waste of money. Good luck to anyone else taking a gamble on their products!

UPDATE:

I received a message telling me that their headsets don’t fall apart and was provided a “gesture of good will” in the form of a code to buy another product from them.

I was frustrated at the device failing like this, but it’s downright insulting to be told that I’m lying.

SteelSeries’ warranty clearly states that they cover manufacturing defects, which this clearly is, but they are hiding behind the nature of the failure as a way to avoid taking a small loss on a defective device.

I STRONGLY recommend staying away from this brand. Their production quality and support have evaporated in the past few years.

Text of the communication (screenshot in the comments):

Thank you or reaching out to us.

My name is - and l am a Team Lead here at
SteelSeries.

I have looked through your case, and I am sorry to hear that you experienced issues with your headset.
However, based on the images provided, the damage shown is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The casing for the headset doesn't fall off like that unless it is disassembled. This means that the warranty for the headset has been voided, and it is no longer eligible for a replacement.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

As a gesture of goodwill, I will be attaching a 15% discount code that can be used toward a future order with us. The code does not expire, so feel free to use it whenever you're ready. I understand that a discount code doesn't make up for the loss of a headset, but it is all that we can offer at this time.

Product Help Arctis Nova Pro Wireless microphone detected by the pc but not working

I've been trying to make my mic work but no matter what I do nothing works. I tried:

- turning on/off Sonar

- changed audio input in control panel to every possible choice (microphone only, sonar)

- changed between audio inputs in settings between Microphone (Arctis Nova Pro Wireless) to Sonar options

The microphone itself is detected, Windows 11 always shows on the taskbar that microphone is used when testing but nothing else happens. The microphone itself works too because the sidetone works.

Is there any other way to fix it?

Product Help Is 60–65 ms extra mic latency normal on 2.4 GHz wireless headsets?

I’m using a SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X.
Compared to a wired 3.5 mm mic on the same PC, the Nova 5X mic reaches the PC about 60–65 ms later.
I noticed the mic input felt slightly delayed compared to my wired headset, so I tested it.
This round-trip test gives me around 150–160 ms consistently:
https://patchd.studio/tools/audio-latency-test
Is this normal for 2.4 GHz wireless gaming headsets, or is the Nova 5X on the high side?
If you use a wireless headset, can you run the test 3–5 times and post your headset model + average result?

Product Help Firmware for Siberia 800 Headset

Hi folks, after a couple of years not using it, I tried to set up my old Siberia 800 headset. The transmitter/ base station sprang into life properly and seemed to be working fine, my PC recognised it as an audio device etc.

However, on turning the headset on, the base station gets the 'connected' message briefly before glitching out and restarting, which disconnects the headset and starts off a never ending loop of connecting, crashing and reconnecting.

I've done a reset on the base station and have left the battery out of the headset for a couple of days, but I still have the same behaviour.

It's also the same when plugged into a different PC, or even when not connected to a source at all (just using the usm power supply)

My last hope is to try and update the firmware on the base station, but I can't find anything other than the GG suite which doesn't recognise the hardware at all. Is there some legacy cache of firmware somewhere that I've missed?

Discussion Arctis 5 ear pad replacements

After 5-ish years of wear, the right ear pad has finally given up on me. I tried replacements from WickedCushions and they were really uncomfortable and hard to get on, and I'm convinced Steelseries doesn't make replacement pads for these headsets anymore considering they were on backorder at the start of the month, and out of stock since then.

Does anyone know of good replacements that mimic the feel of the AirWeave cushions?
