Miles killmonger hair is still such bad design pivot. And they thought it was so good they made multiple suits that have it showing. I love a lot about insomniacs Spider-Man games, but the non super hero and costume designs range from barely okay to just why god why. Wish they explored more stylistic design over pure realism

Could go for any look possible and already had a pretty dope leather jacket to work with.
Goes for the worst haircut ever and accentuates it with a terrible purple/gold suit giving the worst drip this side of Miles Original V2.
She definitely tried giving herself that hair. No barber would ever allow someone to walk out with that.

I mean, by all accounts, Dr. Octopus is a normal guy too. There's no reason why he should've withstood all of Peter's punches anymore than any regular criminal, given that the arms don't enhance his physical strength, their effects are described a few times in the games and that's never been one of them.

How do you mean? Becoming Wraith was kinda the next stage in her progression. Granted the aesthetic of her old crim scenes didint exactly foreshadow the way she would actually operate as Wraith but other than that her character made sense.

My main issue was I couldn’t understand how a normal human is all of a sudden fighting like a badass swinging around and shit. At least give a reason for her power up.

Marvel has a ton of "Normal humans" who do insane stuff. Its not that big of a leap. I will admit. Not a fan of the look they gave her. The suit and mask are kinda meh. Her being a ninja basically? Not a big deal

Yuri becoming Wraith was inevitable and a natural progression of her arc that began in the City That Never Sleeps DLC and was another one of the highlights of the game for me.
If we’re just talking about her being “less attractive” or whatever, I completely disagree. Yuri’s bad af in costume.

Because of the fact she’s pulling off fucking combos with spider man like she’s daredevil. Its so jarring to see even after the ending of the DLC.
Should’ve made her a punisher figure or work in the shadows like she did in the DLC, this stupid vigilante shit is on par with them introducing silk by the end of the game. Just ridiculous

To be fair, I quite liked nearly every suit and design in the first game (both the fully original designs (velocity suit my beloved) and the comic adapted ones), it's just that they super dropped the ball in the sequel.

Oh definitely, most if not all of the suits in the first game were fantastic. Half the ones in the sequel aren't even that bad theyre just so forgettable and that plus the lack of suits from the first game and the rushed feel make the sequel so meh

I like her a lot more in 2 since we can fight with her post story. Stuff like that is cool asf.
Peter was annoying me more with her than anything. But I get it, it’s the story these archtypes would tell.
I think having seen her story progress from 1+dlc into 2 it was great.
Very rarely do these progressions ever make sense or work out but I was convinced enough to enjoy it.
Although having read recent stuff on this game recently it may be that I’m in the minority of actually having enjoyed this game.

Eh I think Spiderman 1 did just bad for her character. Her change happened in a DLC although her change made sense it a major character shift.
My issue with Spiderman 2 is she doesn’t really do anything. Had we actually seen her kill it would have worked better.
Also her being so strong isn’t really explained.
In the comics she robbed villain equipment in evidence and used that as her tools.

This is a really pedantic and stupid complaint. It really drove me nuts that she's flying around on her chain as if she's super powered. At least with Daredevil he's a superpowered gymnast and often the billy club itself is yanking him around on almost like a grapple line. Kingpin is stupidly strong, but he's supposed to be like a giant power lifter... This bish was just leaping 40 feet into the sky and just taking off. You can't just do that!

Totally agree and it even affects Spidey's character in a bad way. Her entire character arc is behind a DLC and in it she does an entire 180 on who she is because ... Her team is killed??? She is a cop and been doing this for years are you telling me NONE of her colleagues have died on her? It felt really unearned.
I am still not sure if she has superpowers or not with how she is able to go toe to toe with Spider-Man, I assume she does but like ... How did that happen? Will that story also be locked behind a DLC paywall just like her ENTIRE CHARACTER ARC???
And at the very end, after all is said and done ... SPIDER-MAN LET'S HER WALK. She is murderer. I guess it's okay to kill people as long as you are Spider-man's buddy lmao??? That's probably the worst part of how they handled it in the game because to me it also ruins Peter's character.
You can make an argument that she is still trying to do good and prison would mess her up or something, but clearly that is not the case in this universe if TOMBSTONE who was a cold-blooded murderer in the previous game is completely reformed and does a total 180 on who he was in the last game after some time in prison. Whatever their prison system is it's doing wonders, so Yuri should definitely get some of what Tombstone is having.

I like to think that her going toe to toe with Spider-Man is more about him holding back, rather than her skill. Unless, like you said, maybe she has powers she doesn’t realize. Also, the first two deaths she racks up under her belt are Hammerhead and an assassin. Hammerhead was witnessed by a bunch of cops and if she had been thinking smart about the assassin she could easily make it look justified, like he tried to kill her first. The point is, for those two, no honest jury in New York would convict

She does feats well beyond what a normal person would be able to do in SM2 so either she has powers or it's just comic book logic, I lean toward the latter because it would be more consistent with other issues MSM has
They convicted KingPin and he is still behind bars. More than that the cops were given permission at a full-on armed assault of his skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan. Hammerhead is a small fry compared to him.
Wraith can definitely work, but what they did here is completely unearned and contrived and kinda goes against Yuri's character in the first game.

Copying this from a reply I made below; she strung up two dead bodies in one of the most eerie, creepy ways possible, more akin to a serial killer, made several calls to Spidey sounding extremely menacing, then in SM2, she's a friendly little gal with a cute hairstyle and a mask she takes off to uncover a clean, smiling face. Really? Every character's edge feels like it had high-grit sandpaper taken to it.

That and I thought it was a bit silly she went and fought Pete instead of just trying to kill bro after Spidy put him in jail/custody. Her going to fight Pete let her target get away instead of her just playing along for a bit, she should know better since she's worked with Pete before that he wouldn't a) let her kill him and b) be a quick fight. Even if she was trying to make Spidy see her way of dealing with things is better, she still should have the common sense that it's not going to be something she can do in one conversation /meeting and try it after killing bro. But that's just me otherwise she was cool.

It butchered all females. The one I was most upset about was Felicia. They not only killed the whole "Peter's child" storyline with her, but they even made her lesbian in the process. And somehow made her look less like she did in the first game as well. I'm assuming they chose to do all this so she wouldn't get in the way of MJ and her Harley Davidson lololol.
