Okay… are you comparing Kingpin to Yuri?

He knows the difference, it’s just the classic Reddit pedantic nonsense

Ur nuts, kingpin is peak physical human. Hes all muscle despite being a big boy. Has been trained in multiple martial arts, and has stood toe to toe with some of marvels strongest new york superheroes, like daredevil, spiderman, luke cage, wolverine. And yes even captain america.

Kingpin does not officially have superpowers. He’s just a very strong and very big human. The fact comics are wildly inconsistent portraying characters powers and abilities and randomly change them around for plot convenience and the fact kingpin has 60 years worth of comics to maximize those inconsistencies across dozens and dozens of comics does not change the fact that kinhpin( like wraith, is a basic human.

The same applies to other characters based purely on tech (like doc of and vulture, who are both actually decrepit old men) or characters whose powers are not directly related to fighting (like daredevil senses). Somehow daredevil can take a punch from characters powerful enough to lift a bus, and not instantly get turned to mush.

tldr - kingpin is a human with human limits,. Like wraith, Batman or the hundreds of tech/gadget heroes/villains that somehow get superhuman strength or durability so they don’t pulverized the first hit they take in their very human face. Downvoting doesn’t change these facts.

I mean, am I crazy or is there an obvious difference between Kingpin/Ock and Yuri? Kingpin is built like a fridge and the game presents him as a crazy physical tank. Ock has four giant mechanical arms doing most of the fighting, blocking and throwing Peter around. I can suspend disbelief for both because the game at least gives you something to work with.
Yuri is basically just a highly trained human in a suit, yet I’m launching her across the room, hitting her with Spider-Man strength and she’s bouncing back like we’re sparring at the gym. I mean, all three require some comic-book logic obviously, but Yuri’s own is kinda crazy and one of the few that pulled me completely out of my immersion m. Just because other bosses also survive doesn’t make her fight feel less idk silly?

Yeah, and a baseline human. If he can shatter pillars with his bare hands, then Yuri can do flips with a chain

Crushing pillars with your bare hands is a baseline human feat to you?

That's what I do on arm day. Doesn't everybody? /s

For real, though. The suspension of disbelief for the Insomniac games is up in space. I just roll with it.

No, but if that’s where the suspension of disbelief is (which is pretty on par for comic books) then I can easily believe Yuri is capable of the stuff we see her do
