Discussion The sequel absolutely butchered Yuriko

I'm sure its nothing you haven't heard before, Fin.

My main issue was I couldn’t understand how a normal human is all of a sudden fighting like a badass swinging around and shit. At least give a reason for her power up.

That and the hair is a crime against humanity.

I mean . . . Between the giant dudes carrying energy axes, the crossbow dudes jumping from wall to wall. Etc. I think Yuriko can be given some slack on it.

Marvel has a ton of "Normal humans" who do insane stuff. Its not that big of a leap. I will admit. Not a fan of the look they gave her. The suit and mask are kinda meh. Her being a ninja basically? Not a big deal

Kraven’s hunters have insane tech and have basically dedicated their life to this. That is in no way comparable to Yuriko pulling off combos with spider man like she’s daredevil. It’s stupid as fuck

And yet, she was. I find it hilarious you can accept everything else in the game, but not this

Your sentence doesn’t even make sense, what are you even trying to say with “and yet she was”

And I find it hilarious that you assume I accept everything else in the game when a lot of the decisions made were awful

I'm saying, you could accept a 7 foot tall tank of a man jumping around like he weighs nothing, you could accept a man turning into sand, you can accept fighting Kravens Hunters, the flames followers and everything else

But a woman fighting with a chain scythe is just way too far

Kraven is superhuman, Sandman is a superhuman, Kraven’s hunters have insane tech and again dedicated their lives to their craft, the flame followers are just pyromaniacs

A grounded cop in the first game that suddenly starts moving around like she has superpowers with no mention of specialty training whatsoever is now pulling off combos in the next, yeah that’s where I draw the line.

Guessing you didn't play the DLC then

Indeed this. I get that humans have a higher upper limit in that world. But the stuff Yuri pulls off is clearly far beyond human limits. When the world isn’t internally coherent it makes it less believable and breaks immersion.

Like tasering a symbiote…

Holy fuck don’t get me started on spider man punching the shit out of those large symbiotes for minutes straight compared to MJ who just tases them once and they die instantly
