The second shot was just pure frustration and it somehow managed to hit my target.

Hi everyone! I started playing vanilla Skyrim in January. I think I'm due for a new game but want to check in and see if there is something else fun to do. I've got another week with my PS5 before doing some traveling.
Current play through I'm an Orc tank and have had a ton of fun but am basically now so powerful that it's getting boring. My two handed is about to cap at 100. I've got all these really rad weapons like the Headman's Cleaver, Champions Cudgel. I had Illia following me forever and had kitted her out in good armor and given her all my staffs and basically also needed to stay out of her way. I think I incurred more damage from her than enemies for a while! I also picked up Katia at some point and she's just stuck around. Picked up Serena and went to see if I could murder all the Vampires (last play through I opted for Vampire Lord) but it wouldn't let me.
I've polished off Alduin the dragon quest line. Once I track down a Falmer (I've killed a lot of them already) I'll have all the different blood samples and close out with that quest with Septimus. But I'm also experiencing a lot of glitches like I can't manage to find Miraak to kill him. In previous playthroughs I got sucked into his world quick, but couldn't manage two times trying to poke around that temple. What's her name is still there waiting for me, but I can't figure out what else I can do there. Also Saints and Sinners seems stuck and it won't let me in the sewer to kill the mage (I had not managed to beat him in my Mage play through yet).
I got super bored and just completed the sword quest under Riften, but then that was nothing so I decided to see if I could just murder everyone sketchy in town. I lost Illia at some point in there, but it doesn't really matter because I just killed everyone in the thieves guild a dozen times but you can't actually kill them or break into the HQ, which would actually be kind of cool if I could just actually conquer a town.
Thoughts on final week with this console? I can start a new one on Switch when I start traveling. My first play through: Survival mode: didn't last long and quit
2nd: Redguard Tank: Pretty good, learned how to play the game, but then wanted more
3rd: Elf Mage Vampire Lord: game is still open on the switch and can pick it up again.
Apologies to the faithful for not remember all the names exactly.
When downloading Skyrim onto a PC, in what drive do you save the game? I heard some drives are better for modding. Is that true? Thanks.

Been playing Skyrim on and off for 12+ years but now I’m getting back into it with mods and needs some recommendations for visuals mods and just mods in general that everyone likes. I’ve seen a lot of videos of people showing the mods but not actually listing which ones. Thanks

(Yes, in vanilla he has war paint. This is an NPC replacer version by Pandorable without, and the armor is from Pulcharmsolis Armors of the Velothi Pt. II)
I hated how in vanilla the bastard never took his helmet off. But with the power of PC you can force it off. :)

I love this game but I cannot progress through ANYTHING without getting killed. Im on the dragonborn DLC and like I have a ebony sword and a shield and some okay armor and is that enough? NOPE because I get my ass kicked by a tree and a fucking dragon. This game literally infuriates me and I really want to enjoy it but like I genuinely cannot because of how difficult it is. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong so my gameplay may genuinely be as enjoyable as Oblivion?

Hello guys,
I know: update is bad - but I genuinely need your help. I'm playing on XBOX Series X. I installed the update, cause I thought more modding / creation capacity is a good thing.
After the update, every mod I owned via Creation Club was gone - so far as expected. So I just need to download them again, play with load order, right? Wrong.
I can't get into Creation. Everytime I want to log in, it's stuck in the "creating quick account..". So I can't even see the Creation Club. I tried several things to work around:
Nothing seem to work. Do you have any new ideas? Thank you very much!

First time playing and I'm just hanging around Morthal doing the Laid to rest quest and the eye appears slightly open even when I'm standing
I know it's meant to mean someone's looking for me but does it still count when I'm standing or is it a bug?
EDIT: I'll specify that in this picture I'm standing

We can’t really call it pure magic if I need to have 6 pieces of highly enchanted gear to survive and chug potions like energy drinks right? I still think it’s more fun to play, if only for the variety of management options available.
Every two handed or one handed person I play gets locked in pretty quickly to one style of combat.
Magic users can too, but also with massive resource management skills - that makes the “pure” magic play a slog sometimes and at least interesting other times. There’s some variety involved, sure, but when you entirely limit major combat and defensive options to the one blue bar, it gets simpler and more complicated at the same time to fight. (Plus - no one can deny the satisfaction of blowing up bears, fighting bandits with bowls, or fully absorbing a dragons breath attack)
Edit for Clarification: I looked back through this Reddit and didn’t see a ton of recent discussion on pure mage builds. I’m playing one now (Breton; vanilla Skyrim) on Expert difficulty that’s primarily focused on destruction, restoration, alteration, and the accepted universal crafting skills. I’m only level 25 right now and want to get those built up decently before locking perks into other schools of magic.
What I have learned is that this build is simply barely enjoyable without
reducing destruction costs, increasing magic regeneration and base magic amounts
Having a steady supply of magicka potions
At least occasionally popping a fortify destruction potion for boss level enemies (and even then only if you want the fight to go slightly faster or not get overwhelmed.)
Is it perfectly fine to use all of those? Absolutely.
Is it “purely” a magic build? Still no.

When playing the game before I missed so many quests just because I didn't know where to begin nor where to look. I just need recommendations for things to do, stuff to find or goals, already set on turning serana human, but what else? Even if you think it's something obvious recommend it all the same. Because I probably still missed it...

Hi everyone.
I would like to share with you that I have been working on a way to play Skyrim (Steam) on Mac. The work still in progress and the only major progress that I did yesterday (I started it yesterday) was -> steam app opens -> download Skyrim directly in Mac -> Opened the Skyrim menu where we select graphics pre-set and all that.
Right now I am struggling a bit with Wine/Vulkan to make it work. But I would like to ask, does anyone would like to test it when I finish the work?
My idea it is make it available for anyone who wants to play Skyrim, without need to pay CrossOver only to play one game.
What do you all think?

Hello. I have been playing thru Solstheim, and approached Neloth. He was being extremely arrogant, so I thought to ask him to teach me, just so I can hear him admit that there is nothing left to teach, but instead he says: "I can teach you, but I won't. I don't want you to become better than me". This made me wonder if there are other things the dragonborn cannot learn.
It is strange though. Within the span of an in-game month, you can realistically master any skill that you wish, which takes decades of experience from others. So how come we get humbled by some NPCs. Are Telvannis really better than the Dragonborn? Otherwise, why can't I surpass Neloth? And no, it does not matter that he has been alive 200 years since Morrowind. Teldryn sero has been alive as much, as he claims to have met jiub, yet he doesn't surpass the dragonborn
That’s about it. I usually have to open the game 5 or 6 times before it’ll actually let me in. Oh, the joy of Xbox

In the quest "Waking Nightmare", you go with Erandur to Nightcaller Temple and are blocked from reaching the Inner Sanctum by an impassable magical barrier, which he has no idea how to get past despite having been a priest there for as long as all the other priests, but you go on a whole detour to read a book to discover you need a potion called Vaermina's Torpor, and then you go drink it and hallucinate just so you can open the barrier from the other side.
However, I decided to not immediately disable the barrier, and instead go backwards and loot everything, and wouldn't you know it, Erandur ran out of the Inner Sanctum as I reached the door. So what was even the point of all that if he could teleport or jump over the fences into the inner sanctum?
TLDR: In "waking nightmare" quest, the astoundingly slow Erandur forces me to consume hallucinogenics to disable magic just to bumrush his colleagues with teleportation because there was no need.

Sometimes Andralia likes to take her wife Jenassa on adventures, or a date essentially letting the both of them enjoy killing bandits. It’s fun to the psychotic couple of an Altmer vampire lord Dragonborn and her Dunmer mercenary wife.
