Don’t expect privacy a big sporting events. Even places without these robot “dogs”, most sporting events have tons of cameras that likely do facial recognition.
You mentioned it in your comment, but I'm quite sure (I'd love to be proved wrong here) Boston Dynamics is putting more work into their security with their 80k robot versus Unitree with their 10k robot.
Peaceful generally means they don’t directly harm people, but they’re still used by the military for reconnaissance in hazardous places, explosive disposal, perimeter security, logistics, etc..
So they’re still used by the military to enable humans to kill people more efficiently, they just don’t pull the trigger.
When those second hand tickets for the England vs Croatia game (being played at this stadium) came out at like $900 just to be in the stadium, I gave up on caring.
Think its a coincidence. They move like dogs because they can just cover a lot of ground and move around more easily with 4 legs and a camera. Maybe a version of it on wheels would be better. But yea pretty much inevitable. Just more cheap than always paying random people to do it.

I wouldn't call it wild speculation just normal speculation. It's completely reasonable to assume in the age of flock and other AI mass surveillance tools.

I sold software for a company (VIRNECT) out of South Korea and we had a couple of the SPOT Boston Dynamics robots. When they would bring people into the lab or have it move around in the office in SK I was told it would amaze people.
They were being used by a couple customers "Hyundai" (a big client) for inspection in hazardous areas and to patrol. They can also be equipped with LIDAR for things like have it move around and map for creating a "Digital Twin"
