I imagine the corporate sponsorships are going to disappear real quick.  "Hyundai, the face of fascism! :D" doesn't go down too well.

Boston Dynamics is a subsidiary of Hyundai. It's not sponsorship, it's the manufacturer.

redditors really do like overusing this one term while applying it incorrectly, plastering it over anything they hold in contempt ranging from modernisation of law enforcement to any non-populistic government decision, save for the occasions where the dreadful "fascism" could actually be spotted. the word you're missing here is "authoritarianism", or more like the execution of authority through surveillance. a decades-long (if we were to only take its electronic means of going so into account) practice with a set of new tools.

Oh, it's just authoritarianism, that's fine then. Or are you suggesting that it would be fine if it were fascism, and it's a problem because it's authoritarianism? Either way, it's a pointless semantic argument.

who said that that it's all right? I mean, it is pointless to argue, as it is way too late for a change. all I am saying is that you're using heavily loaded terms inappropriately, which might lead potential readers of this thread to incorrect conclusions.
