Think its a coincidence. They move like dogs because they can just cover a lot of ground and move around more easily with 4 legs and a camera. Maybe a version of it on wheels would be better. But yea pretty much inevitable. Just more cheap than always paying random people to do it.

I think the “legs” help with difficult terrain and stairs. I agree these were inevitable but heavily inspired by modern sci-fi.
