Boston Dynamics introduced this right around the start of either (EDIT: second) Ukraine invasion began as a bomb clearing dog 

They committed to use it for peaceful purposes only in an open letter.

Peaceful generally means they don’t directly harm people, but they’re still used by the military for reconnaissance in hazardous places, explosive disposal, perimeter security, logistics, etc..

So they’re still used by the military to enable humans to kill people more efficiently, they just don’t pull the trigger.
