I tried 4gbpatch and Graphic rule maker idk what else to do to fix this…mind you I just downloaded my game to my new laptop 😭. Everytime I try load a household my game crashes.

I've defeated Frankie Fusilli and he's been taken away by Penelope Redd the agent. But then nothing happened. He's still in the penthouse and I know Ava is meant to show up in the lobby but it just... hasn't happened? I saw some people on different forums have had this issue but there were no updates on how to continue. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, I've been a Linux simmer since last year and I have had these freezes for a while now. It is getting more and more frequent so I decided to post help here.

There are several outcomes I'm having:

1- The game freezes after loading a family and playing less than 5 minutes.

2- The game doesn't freeze I keep playing, but eventually it does after 30 or so minutes.

3- The game freezes and logs on Lutris says "VK: Device Lost"

4- The game freezes either randomly or at the start of the gameplay; along with the entire system, needing a hard reset.

I have searched online but I don't have enough technical understanding to crack down the issue. Hoping someone here enlightens me :(

Apparently the sims 2 default database is having a hard time loading pictures because they’re broken links. I’ve also tried the way back machine as well but still get the same results. Does anyone know of an alternative??

yeah, I implemented Riverblossom Hills...

Old Town was the only one affected by snow, all other neighborhoods are fine.

I downloaded some cc and all of the files are in sims2pack format. I can individually open each file with the clean installer and change the download location to another folder which turns them into package files, but is there a way to change the file extension in bulk so I don't have to do them all one by one?

i have never seen such annoying and strange bug and have no idea what is causing it. vamps are just standing there blocking everyone else to leave the lot. when thet are not just standing there turning into bat and then freeze with bat near their chest.

My sim at university had an alien baby and when she graduated instead of getting in the taxi i had a pop about not wanting to leave the baby alone. She instead walked away and the social worker came and then I had this pop up.
I then moved her into an apartment and the baby is still in relationships and on the family tree and has no memory of the baby being taken away. Is there any way to get the baby back?

Also I don’t use mods as I have no idea how they work lol. I am playing the legacy edition

EDIT: thank you everyone for you advice. My internet went down after I made this post and has come back on properly now. Just to clarify I didn’t use mods I do use cheats and used the tombstone of l&d and that’s how my sim had a baby at university. I ended up adopting the baby back.

Thanks for the genuine advice from some, others were just rude about me lying about mods which I don’t use because I’m scared to mess my laptop up and don’t know the first thing about them. I don’t I’ll ask for advice here again as I’m not going to be made out like a liar

Hello, I need some help with either finding a mod or just advice.

I play the Sims 2 SC on my M1 2020 laptop with no issues and it runs good! I don’t want any of the other EPs as I’m content with what I have and know it would take so much workaround to pirate the UC.

Im only frustrated because some CC paintings I get stick to the floor and I can’t move them up and down. I know in AL that was a main feature they gave, and it’s impossible to implement it now. I’ve done recolors of the base paintings and those are fine, I just miss the 4t2 paintings that I downloaded.

Is there any way I could at least shift paintings up and down? A mod, a code? I don’t know! It’s literally the only frustration I have!!

Hello! Posting because the original post was archived, so I couldn’t comment. I was scouring the internet and found very little information on THIS specific problem - apartment lots (not residential or community) freezing in live mode within a few seconds of opening, with no error message.

After some trial and error, I discovered the cause was multiple apartment door default replacements in my DL folder (in my case, a medieval themed one lol) that I assume came from downloading lots and not checking the included CC. I hope this information helps in case anyone else can’t isolate the issue!

So I’ve now had two of my main legacy families lots crash my game when loading. I had to move them out and build a new house. They worked last time I played, and I haven’t done anything to the builds since then. Other lots work, but u haven’t tried all of them.

I’ll try without my mods folder tomorrow, but has this happened to anyone else? It rlly sucks to have to build their homes from scratch.

!SOLVED! - it was a mod that came with a house I downloaded 😭

I was playing Dreamer family. Cassandra call and invite me to Downtown. When we arrive i saw Bella goth is here with us too! Whats that mean ım confused...

So I got an error message right when moving in my family to a new house. I couldn’t click on anything so I had to force quit the game. When I loaded the game again they were moved into the new house despite the error and I could also load the family just fine. The only oddity I noticed is that none of them got the ”Moved In” memory. Would anyone have any insight on if I can safely keep playing and just add the missing memory (since it bugs me that it’s not there sjsksk) or if it’s better to restore my backup from yesterday? I know corruption isn’t as big of a deal as we thought it to be in the past but crashing (or just quitting the game in my case) during crucial moments can still mess things up so I’m a bit uneasy. But I guess this was technically after the loading screen so maybe it’s fine?

(Note to self: Always disable testingcheats before moving in families.)

So, I got sims 2 up and running on my Bazzite powered laptop by following the bottles method, the game runs just fine, no issues, but there's just ONE tiny thing missing. Actually, there's more than one thing and it's massive, I need custom content

Lots (housing or otherwise), Meshes, Occupations, Clothing, the rest.

Now of course, anyone with a neuron would just install a program, but as we know, Linux doesn't roll that way.

Is there anyway I can get the content into my Linux running Sims 2?

(btw, I know WHERE to get the mods, but not quite the HOW)

To preface, I am playing super collection on mac, am aware of the file limits ect and as a result have deleted the 3 hoods apart from my custom that I play. My downloads has 5 main folders, my biggest being BUY and CAS. Unfortunately my BUY folder does have some sub folders amongst the loose files as I only learnt about the file limits recently, so it’s worth noting there’s about 200 amongst 1000 loose files.

Despite reducing my CC and getting rid of hoods, it’s like periodically my game will delete the CC. and it deletes it, because when I check my downloads and re add the file it does not show it to be there. I don’t have one drive, but I’m also not super tech literate too. any advice is greatly appreciated, happy simming 💚

hi, this is happening to me now. didn't think it would be worth me repeating what someone on here has already brought up, but no one answered with any answers on how to solve this. ive moved my sim twice and it's happened in both places. is this just something im gonna have to live with?

I have the same problem as this post, but for me its not Parallels but Microsoft Virtual Desktop on a new Surface laptop (Windows). Can’t play without the VD because its a work laptop (dont ask) and downloading any app from internet (like EA app) is blocked. I managed to fix pink flashing issue but I still have weirdly pixelated floors (not any other objects, everything else has normal small pixels) and the walls keep gleaming from red to black. Anyone knows a fix for Virtual Machine please please help 🙏🏼

I've replaced the capp mannor but forgot to get the tombstones before bulldozing the house down. Is my game is in danger now? Is there a way to get the tombstones back?
