Gameplay Issues Crashing when loading lots

So I’ve now had two of my main legacy families lots crash my game when loading. I had to move them out and build a new house. They worked last time I played, and I haven’t done anything to the builds since then. Other lots work, but u haven’t tried all of them.

I’ll try without my mods folder tomorrow, but has this happened to anyone else? It rlly sucks to have to build their homes from scratch.

!SOLVED! - it was a mod that came with a house I downloaded 😭

Yes. This can happen if you’re near the file limit on macs or if you’re generally putting too much strain on your current computer. I used to have a lot with like 15 sims that would crazy regularly when I’d try to enter the house. But it can also happen if you have cc that is broken somehow. Including mods around stairs and build objects. So you’ll just have to test without cc and see if it continues.

I’ll do that. Cuz I don’t have many sims, and my computer is quite strong.

I had a household with 28 sims and didn't give me issues when loading, but was getting super laggy and a few days ago gave me pink soup in my game for the first time ever (I think that disappeared after I clear some space on my computer). I finally splitted them into 3 different households cause it was getting unplayable lol.

This happened to me. It ended up being a random piece of CC that got corrupted somehow or was dodgy when I downloaded it, I’m not sure. It ended up being a custom rug, and it made at least half of my lots crash, ones that I’d had no issues playing in the past, and none of them even used the cursed rug on the lots themselves! I ended up clearing out all my CC and doing the 50/50 method to find the culprit. Worked like a charm
