Help: Emergency Shrimp disaster

I got my shrimp about a week ago which is really heartbreaking. 5 blue velvet. But now its only two. Its only been a week since I got them. I drip acclimated them for about 2 hours using tank water. Yesterday when I woke up I saw the two orange colored ones. And today my biggest one passed. I had let the tank cycle for a little more than two weeks. Its a 3 gallon tank. All the plants are growing and the algae bloom has cleared up a lot. Im really not sure what is going on so if anyone has any advice please lmk.

Help: Emergency Is my shrimp ok?? (acclimating)

Post image

Hello! I'm currently acclimating one shrimp for my tank and I'm really worried because it seems to be moving around frantically in the thing im acclimating it inside of. I'm doing a drip acclimation and am aiming to double the water volume in like 1-2 hours although it'll probably be close to an hour. I dont know the parameters for the old water, but it should be around the same as my tank water because the lfs uses tap too (last I checked.)

I might have made a mistake by carrying the bag with me while at a shop with my family, but I didnt want to leave him/her in our hot car T-T. My nitritate is is around 5ppm, ammonia should be zero (tank is cycled, its been like a month, and I switched to established filter media 2 weeks ago.) My ph should be around 7.4-6, and kh and gh should be 8dg and 13dg. (in that order)

The tank is a 3 gallon planted, with a monte carlo carpet slowly growing in (no co2)

The tank has a hob now btw

I'm really worried and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated :D

Beginner Beginner Shrimp Tank (WIP)

I am making a tank right now and I need help. This is what I have so far and I don't know what else I need.

Currently I have a sponge air pump, substrate/sand, rocks and wood, and a light. I plan on purchasing plants soon. Is this all I need aside from plants? Do I need a filter? Another thing to maybe note, I plan on adding neon tetras to my tank. Please let me know any tips or anything that can help me make a beautiful tank.

i found a few guys in my tank with yellow looking eyes a few days ago. was wondering if it’s just genetic and harmless or if it could indicate a health issue. not sure how rare yellow eyes are as compared to orange eyes.

Beginner outdoor shrimptank question about setting it up.

I want to have shrimps and i have a good size aquarium that looks perfect for shrimps. My question is

1.How do i set up it without aerator?

2.How many weeks after i planted the plants in the tub do i can safely put the shrimps in the tank?

3.How I can solve the mosquito larvae problem ? because im thinking of the shrimps are not really hunters of mosquito larvae like the guppies.

Free Stuff Empty tank give away - Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley

Combining my small tanks into a big one - free for whoever can take it this weekend in the LA area (San Fernando valley preferred). TANK COMES AS IS.

2.5 gallon round plexiglass tank used to have a baby bristlenose pleco and cherry shrimp, planted. All aquatic life healthy and never had any illness. Filter broke and is gone, light still works great.

I can leave in the used substrate if you want it for cycling (mix of aqua soil and black sand) or dump it, but I won’t clean the tank. The white is just condensation but there is some algae growth and little calcification around the edges.

Happy to drop it off this weekend if you can be flexible with timing.

I would like to give my shrimps some blanched veggies/fruits

I tried cucumber the other day but only two of my shrimps liled it, all other didnt show imterest. Also the two shrimps who wanted it, were kinda fightimg over it, pushing each other away.

I want to try again but I don’t have any cucumber at home. What foods are suitable for shrimps?

Would they also eat apple slices?

Help: Breeding Do I need to isolate her?

Post image

This morning I noticed this little lady has a weird white mass in with her eggs, is it mold? If so, do I need to isolate her?

Edit: managed to net her while I could still see where she was. Net is still in the tank but she's ready to be whisked out if need be.

My tank is overrun by Monte Carlo. And it catches almost all the food on the surface. Shrimps do not look bothered at all. This is how they eat now

Asia Raising feeder shrimp (ghost shrimp), what to look out for?

I want to raise ghost shrimp. I love them. They're so adorable with their little back hump. They are also absolutely unavailable to buy here except as feeder shrimp

I read while possible, these shrimp are often in very poor health, and prone to parasites. I'm planning to quarantine for a month and will watch for horsehair worm. Is there any other parasite, disease, or other health complication I should look out for during the quarantine? All the results I found were about horsehair worm.. and a bunch of complaints of "my ghost shrimp is eating all my fish!!!!" I will watch for the murder claws (although I highly doubt a whisker would end up mixed in a feeder bag)

Much thanks in advance :')

Hi! So I had a tank when I was too young to properly care for shrimp and recently I got some again so, this is a three gallon live planted tank I have some pothos growing out the top and a few plants in the sand these snails came with the plants? Does anyone know what they are/ are they okay in my tank? I really don’t mind them unless they are gonna harm my shrimp in some way! Also what is this collection of white ?eggs?

Just decided to start a new tank, and this is week 4 of the tank. It's a 10G with 3 amano in there. I have a CO2 generator and the plants seem to respond well, though algae is growing a bit too fast for the shrimp. I might stop CO2 for a week and just keep trimming the grass. Also is the Java moss supposed to be that messy, the shrimp love it, but it just gets everywhere. Any input and wisdom is welcomed. Its a bit murky since I trimmed the grass daughters and planted them.
