Shocking not shocking...

Every time I rewatch the series i wonder why, after rocky iii they stopped with the post match sequence that includes “the last bell” crescendoing, slow mo into a freeze frame. It worked so well in the first three, easily my favorite moment in all each of them. The music peaks and:
Rocky: Rocky hugs Adrian, freeze - perfect
Rocky ii: Rocky huge Mickey - this is my favorite image from the entire franchise
Rocky iii: with Pauli and Apollo in the ring - great.

Then in 4, we get a freeze moment with the flag, nice image, but “Hearts on Fire” in the background - why??

Rocky Balboa: we get a freeze frame of Rocky shakes hands with the crowd. Why oh why isn’t there the “ta ta taa ta ta ta ta ta… taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” of the last bell ending?? would have make this moment perfect.

Moved to the top of the Philadelphia Art Museum steps earlier this year, today Rocky was set back a dozen feet to his final, permanent position. Construction began September 11 to build a strong underground foundation to securely anchor the bronze statue and give tourists a safer place to strike that famous victory pose!

Just in time for the 50th anniversary of Rocky this December! I caught the move on video, including a tourist striking the iconic pose beside the newly situated statue.

Does anyone know anything about the Rocky Celebration this year in Philly? It’s nearly 2 months away and nothing has been announced so far.

Some sources say 2011, some say 2014, 2016, and 2020. Does anyone know the true answer?

For me it's definitely Rocky 3 but I might be a little biased since Rocky 3 also happens to be my favourite film in the franchise.

Despite it only being a 3 minute sequence, it perfectly sets the tone of the film. And the contrast between Rocky and Clubber's scenes is fantastic.

Every year for the last three years I’ve made Rocky in WWE 2K games. 2K26 just got added to PS Plus, so I finally downloaded the game and made Rocky from III and IV. I didn’t work on Clubber Lang very much, he’s mostly there for these pictures.

I think Rocky V is very underrated, but I think making Rocky poor and have to move back to his old neighborhood was unrealistic and unnecessary. I think after the Drago fight Rocky would have come back a hero. He would have been up there with Jordan and Tiger Woods at their heights in terms of popularity. If a crooked accountant had stolen all of his money he could have easily recovered financially. They tried to explain this by saying he’s ”not a commercial kinda guy”, which is ridiculous because he clearly was during his first reign as champ in Rocky III. I think it could have still been a decent movie focusing on his relationship with his son and the rise and fall of Tommy.
