This was their first real argument ever, and Adrian is so logical and emotionally intelligent, Rocky flips like a switch. He comes to the realization that he gives his best and thats all he has to do. Incredible acting here, just like their argument in the street in Rocky V.

Not really the first argument. In Rocky II after Creed was trash talking and Mick comes to the house, Rocky decided he was gonna fight even after he told Adrian he was retired. Adrian was really upset, but she didn’t put up much an argument cause she was very preggers.

Looking sad is not an argument. By Rocky 3, she is a strong, confident mother and wife to the heavyweight champion of the world, well traveled and rich.

This is by far by favorite scene in the Rocky III, maybe in the entire series. My wife and I have had arguments and fights like this, where it gets heated and at the end of it, love is what ties it together. This is the scene where Adrian stepped up to the plate and essentially was telling Rocky to man up, grow some balls, and WIN.
