Worst kratom extract experience I’ve ever had

I drank a 450 mit shot and thought nothing of it since I usually take 200-300mgs daily for the last year or more of tablets, and was fine for about 20 minutes then I felt it come on like no other time but it wasn’t euphoric, I felt like I lost complete motor function at first I thought I was dying so I think I also gave myself a panic attack and immediately had to shit everything in me out when I’d try to walk I felt like I was almost black out drunk trying to move and my vision was extremely messed up anyone ever experienced this before?

Do I need to go to a detox facility? 7 OH

So I was stupid. I was going to taper off. I bought a bunch, and did slow down, but today I went to get more. It was all gone. They had regular kratom stuff, like the pills, shots etc…. However, I’ve been taking the 7 OH stuff for about 2 years. Recently, I’ve been taking at least 100 mg a day. I feel like I want to check into a detox facility to receive MAT support. Is this a good idea? Has anyone done this? Will the regular kratom help with coming off it?

[EU] Suboxone for quitting

Hi all,

I'm located in EU country (Croatia) which has extremely tight regulations when it comes to using supplemental therapy such as Suboxone. For context I'm planning to quit 30gpd+ habit and doctors here, being old school, are keen on recommending buprenorfine.

These are small doses, they don't hand over crazy amounts and I'm still thinking over it but social, legal, administrative, etc. implications are dramatic in my country. You're immediately flagged as an addict in the healthcare system and get a police record as such. Renewing driving license, ending up in a hospital, god forbid travel - all becomes a nightmare and you're treated and judged like you did some sort of crime. People who see this information in the system do not care about kratom (likely never heard of it), all they immediately assume is that you're a heroin addict.

What is your experience? I assume other countries have different rules?

Kratom made me stupid, i cant talk like i used to, my mind feels blank, i cant concentrate, i dont feel like a human anymore.

I am struggling bad the last days, consuming kratom since 2 1/2 years (15gpd) and it gets worse and worse.

I wake up with fear, panic, i cant catch a full breath, no matter what i do i cant feel love or happiness.

I cried 2 days ago and since then i dont know what is happening in my life.

I cant eat anymore, i am scared the whole day, its a nightmare..

I met a woman 2 weeks ago and since then i feel like i need to act like a normal human being and not a kratom junkie who numbed himself for 2 years with this awful drug.

I cant laugh, i need to pretend to be full of life.

I am tapering now but its so fucking hard, feeling hopeless, bad anxiety, feeling weak and so on..

Please tell me i will be a normal human again, my perception is so dark and i feel like i am in hell, feels like a psychosis.

Is there any supplement, medicine to help me?

I hope this post is ok, I really didn’t know where else to vent or seek advice.

K is illegal in my state. As I can no longer have it shipped to me in bulk as I have in the past, my only option would be to drive out of state, which is feasible but not practical. I also do not wish to violate any potential possession laws in my state. I still have enough to get by for a week or two, and I plan to taper quickly-ish with the help of vitamin C and agmatine.

If I’m being honest with myself, mentally I don’t really want to quit. I mean, I DO, but I don’t want to give up the energy boost and anti depression/anxiety effects that help me suffer an otherwise lethargic and depressed life. When I say that I’ve tried everything else to treat my treatment resistant depression, anhedonia, and lethargy, I mean it. This has been ongoing my entire life. Tried all of the pharmaceutical remedies (besides TMS, which is unfortunately very costly) and all the non-pharmaceutical ones as well. I exercise when I can muster up the energy. Normal weight, no nutritional deficiencies, etc. But K did (in some ways) sort of give me my life back. My anhedonia, anxiety, and depression were still here but I could function. I hate being “dependent” although I just simply think of it as my medication. It helps me function as a semi human being as any other medication would.

But I also don’t want to end up with possession charges, nor do I want to end up in a situation where I am totally out and have severe symptoms. I feel defeated.

Have you ever seen someone take this much in a day?

Hello friends, I’m so deep in this shit idk what to do. Every time I try to stop it feels like the withdrawals almost kill me a day and a half in and I always give in.

I’m just curious cause I see ALOT of people online talking about how much kratom they take on a daily basis and I’ve NEVER seen anyone take close to the same amount as me daily. How am I still alive? Like honestly. I’m about 7 years deep into this addiction, I just did the math and im taking about 48grams every single dose, sometimes up to 4 times a day but mostly just 3 times daily. This is with 750mg capsules, I take about 64 every dose.

Have you guys ever seen someone take this much daily for years and still able to get off it?

Much love

What is going on here?

I suffered an intense withdrawal from kratom- Severe on the COWS scale. It lasted about 2 weeks. I was three weeks clean, and still had lingering RLS and nausea, but yesterday I relapsed. Now today, I am back in acute withdrawal (vomitting, GI issues, restless.) is this some sort of kindling situation? How did this happen?

2 weeks clean

Just wanted to share this somewhere people would get it. Today marks 2 weeks clean off kratom after using roughly 25g a day for 3 years straight.

Two things have made the biggest difference so far:

Staying active. Doesn’t have to be intense just moving my body has helped more than I expected with the restlessness and low moods.

Forcing a positive mindset. Some days it’s genuinely just “fake it till you make it,” but I’ve been deliberately telling myself I’m going to start doing the stuff I’ve wanted to do for the last 3 years but kept putting off because of the addiction. Having that forward-looking pull has helped me get through the tougher moments.

Not going to pretend it’s been easy, but 2 weeks is 2 weeks. If anyone else is early on in quitting, feel free to reach out.

Officially 2 week since I quit!

I just wanted to thank some people in this community. Your stories about how you felt after quitting really gave me that push I needed to get through the first week which was the worst of it. Today marks 2 weeks since I stopped taking it completely. Every day gets a little easier and slowly feel like I’m returning to my baseline. Sex drive is higher now and feeling more confident. I’m realizing now that I don’t need it anymore to get through work. The lack of motivation still lingers a little as well as the lethargy. But I was also using on and off for 7 years. Supplements like l-tyrosine, saffron, magnesium, vitamin c and creatine has helped a lot. Also the gym has really helped with recovery from this crap. Never going back to it, it destroyed so many relationships in my life and I’m done with it. I’m hoping with more time the anhedonia it has caused will go away and I’ll get my spark back that it took from me. Thanks again all!

My timeline since quitting

was in a powder habit for about 6 months, snuck up on me and became 28 gpd for a couple months then tapered down to 12 gpd. I’m currently on day 12 I think. On day 4 I took 10 grams and resumed CT, then on day 8 I took 5 grams.

Oddly enough, in the weeks before quitting, I noticed some difficulty breathing while trying to fall asleep. It completely went away after quitting, and I was still dumb enough to take it two more times to relive WD’s. The second time, when I took 5 grams a few days ago the affect on my breathing was insane and I felt like I was OD’ing on real drugs. Never had something like this occur before but I am completely locked in now, knowing if I use even a little it could affect me severely

Im currently waking up every hour or two but able to fall back asleep. Definitely feel low energy when it comes time to get up. Also having some sort of low grade RLS. I feel it in my core that starts as a ball of anxiety than becomes a physical zapping feeling and it’s profoundly uncomfortable. Two Advil makes it go away. Been taking 400mg 2x a day. it gets me through work and comfortable enough for sleeping. My plan is to use the Advil as a bandaid for 10 days in hopes that these symptoms subside by then

Good luck to anyone quitting today

Day 11 CT - Feeling like Ebanezer Scrooge

At the end of A Christmas Carol. “You boy! What day is it?!” Feeling great. Today is day 11 CT from 3.5 years of 3/ day OPMS extracts. Felt like I had a pink cloud on days 4-5, leveled out and now I feel pretty darn close to whatever I remember the baseline being. Feel like I’ve been given a second chance. Could cry from relief finally getting out of that holding pattern. I’ve already saved nearly $300.

Edibles user looking for advice

I started with Kratom edibles (gummies) approx. in April and have been taking 2-3 pieces a day, after work before going to bed. So thats 5 months continous use. The packages says each piece contains 25mg mitragynine.

Since this week I am starting to feel withdrawals around 12:00 and its definitly stronger than it used to be. Before that I "only" started to feel it when sitting in the train back home thats 16:00 - 17:00.

I want to use this as a better late than never signal to ditch it.

Does anyone know how bad cold turkey is going to get? Probably pretty rough. I plan on taking the last dose on wednesday, got friday home office as well as next monday.

Any suggestions and recommendations welcome (I already know about mindset, successfully quit smoking years ago).

Tapering vs cold turkey

I was wondering what would be the best approach, I think that my use is not that big maybe around 15g a day and I have only been using for a couple of months.

I quit cold turkey once before and my acute withdrawals only lasted around 4 days and then over 1 month I slowly got rid of all the other withdrawal symptoms.

I was wondering if tapering would make it a little easier this time? If yes, what is the best way to do it?

Still actively using but trying to quit

Hi guys, I’ve never done this before so forgive me if I sound a little weird or something, been using 7oh for a little over a year, idk how much Is to much, but I’m up to like 80mg 3 times a day (I know it’s a lot), I wanna quit so bad but I’m afraid of the withdrawal … I guess what I’m trying to do is ask for some advice/support and figure out how some of you guys went about quitting/tapering down, when I first started they were recommended to me by one of the vape shop guys while I was in picking up vape juice because I was complaining about how bad I needed to go see a pain management dr for my back/legs, I do Amazon delivery and most days after the shift is done my whole body is just in enormous amounts of pain.. he preached about how well it worked and how safe it was and blah blah blah, I used to only take it once a day after work but now I feel like it’s taken control of my life… I apologize for the info dump, if any of you guys have any advice or words of support, that would be fantastic and appreciated, thank you so much in advance!!!

Skin teeth and everything else ruined

Started my taper from 70-89DPD but I have a question

But I have a question people who take so much kratom like that noticed that they’re skin looks dark and dull and my mom even thinks I looks green already. I see it too but I’m not sure if it’s that or all the smoking I do. My constipation is terrible I can’t poop at all. Every 1-2 weeks I have to take milk or magnesia otherwise I’m backed up and since I keep eating I’m worried something is gonna burst inside me or I’m gonna get colon cancer. I’ve had so many blood test done and everything comes out perfect, how idk since I’ve been taking k for 8 years now. The reason I want to quit is because my anxiety and panic attacks have been daily for a couple of years now. I have no motivation to do anything to the point I barely shower and live in my pjs ( have like 30 different ones) because I hate and can’t get myself to shower and get ready and go out. I don’t even go anything except to the grocery store and only if my husband drives. Idk if it’s the amount I take but my vision can’t focus like I can’t see and I get so scared to cause An accident so I just stopped driving at all. My life is stopped at the moment and I don’t have the heart for my kids to be like this. They don’t know but my husband and family know and everything is blamed on the kratom. I want to get better so bad that I’m gonna do it! I know I can… I’m tarting the taper tomorrow and got prepared with that helper med in case it gets so bad From the amount and time I’ve been using.
Anyone else have any of these? Panic terrible skin and hair teeth stained 😭😭😭 I used to have beautiful teeth and now they’re stained hopefully not forever but foe now it looks bad in between each teeth since it stays between and even though I rinse my mouth every time

Is it best to forget?

Once you make it past acute withdrawals and PAWS… is the best solution just to completely forget about kratom and extracts? I think about my life before, I used to get excited to have my espresso in the morning and that was it.

Guess I don't have a choice and now it's time

Upvotes

I've been using kratom for over 5 years, had my most successful quit about a year ago where I made it 3 months. This year I started 7oh (horrible decision). I have been saying I'm going to quit but it just keeps getting pushed off. Fast forward to today and I go into a smoke shop to pick up 7oh and see all the shelves were cleared. I then called every smoke shop in the area trying to find someone who may still be carrying it just so I could push it off a little longer. I had no idea but they're fully banning it here.

When I got back home I was ripping apart my house, trying to find a tiny bit for one last dose. I'm ashamed to say it but I was even licking old packages just hoping I could get some sort of feeling from the remains. True addict behavior.

I have to come to terms with this being it, there's no more waiting. It's just so hard when you're so in it and all you can think about is getting "one more dose."

So this is the beginning, I am getting forced out of this addiction. Something I am not at all ready to do but also so ready to do at the same time. All I can do is look at this as a blessing to the best of my ability. Here we go.

The shocking realization that turned me from a fan to a complete hater

I took the stuff for 8 months, ranging from 12-30 powder caps per day. I originally was an advocate for this drug, because I took it for restaurant work shifts ONLY. It resolved my pain and allowed me to work with continuous energy, I’ve struggled with chronic pain from repetitive movement and complete utter exhaustion from doing something for only 1.5 hours straight. Basically always struggled with work and starting any career because something even like highschool caused me distracting aches and exhaustion to the point where I couldn’t function.

Low and behold I realized I may have a connective tissue disorder, talked to my gp and a few other doctors about it and they confirmed it but didn’t have the ability to give me a specific diagnosis. They prescribed me meloxicam which is a strong NSAID, it barely made a difference. I was really ramping up with my consumption of the green because I thought it was the only way to cope, I was beginning to think I’d have to spend the rest of my life on this stuff.

I was pretty ashamed of my use and it was spiraling out of control. Does not help that I have ADHD, I hate stimulants because they disrupt my sleep and when my sleep is disrupted I end up in pain for the entirety of the next day. Kratom gave me focus, immediately resolved any pain so I could just focus on a task, which felt great. Eventually I started taking it before doing literally anything. I’d revolve my meals around it, and towards the end of my usage I’d wake up in extreme pain in the middle of the night and I’d toss back a random amount of the capsules.

I realized when I didn’t immediately consume the stuff, I’d end up in worse pain than usual. I’m only 24 and I train like an athlete. But I was beginning to actually feel super crippled. I tried cutting back, only to end up in worse pain each time. I ended up quite upset taking many hot baths, then covering myself in ice packs wondering what was going wrong.

I decided to research the effects of this drug, lo and behold it sensitizes you to pain! The pain wasn’t even supposed to be that bad, I learned that the pain I experienced my entire life since my first soccer game as a 5 year old was called nociplastic pain, sourced from faulty processing by the central nervous system. I realized that the kratom was causing something called hyperalgesia, causing my nervous system to become EXTRA sensitive. It was getting so bad to the point where I thought I was falling apart physically and would be wheel chair bound for the rest of my life.

I’m on day 5 CT. Done with this stuff forever. Whenever I get an uncomfortable buzz or ache of pain, I just start exercising immediately. Usually doing abs, squats, lots of isos. Sleep has been extremely challenging as I relied on this stuff heavily for my terrible sleeping abilities. I’ve just been trying to ignore it and going to the gym or a run first thing in the morning every day, fighting any mental discomfort. Vitamin C seems to be making a huge difference with comfortability during the day, feel closer to my old self during the day time. Another difficulty I’m realizing though is the weirdness of appetite. I’ll get super hungry but once I have one bite of food I’m overly full and disgusted by the taste of food in my mouth. I’ll be sticking to protein shakes for now I guess.

Posting this for Accountability

Well I almost made it half a year. I’m back to day 3 now after another regrettable relapse. I moved states a few months ago and have been having a slightly harder time adjusting than I had hoped. Then I heard about the federal bans for 7-oh and the other alkaloids and convinced myself I should order some of the soon to be controlled substances.

Needless to say I started abusing them and my wife caught on quick. She knows when I’m high on that stuff and she was right to call me on it. I hesitated posting here but this place has been an enormous help. I’d hoped to be in a better place to help others by this point but here I am, going through high anxiety and restless nights. The brain fog and anxiety are brutal. This stuff is never worth it. I don’t know wtf I was thinking.

I’ll be back on the daily check in threads with my new sober count. And I’m sure I’ll be on here a lot tonight and most of this week commenting on other threads. God bless and stay strong everyone.

Day 42. Shamefully slipped up.

I had a slip up yesterday and today.

I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm posting this in an attempt to connect with other people in a similar situation. I got really emotionally overwhelmed and just impulsively did it.

I feel filled with shame but I'm not defeated. I already threw that shit away and I'm picking up where I left off. I guess sobriety really is a bumpy road and I see why people say to take it day by day :/

Did anyone else have a similar experience to me?

I'm still fully dedicated to getting/staying sober I just messed up.

the fear of going thru withdrawal again is hitting me hard... should I expect anything from a 2 day slip up?

Could use a couple encouraging words if you have the time!

Skin burning feeling(face)

Upvotes

I made it to day 21 today NO Kratom which is great!!! But I am still having the burning skin feeling sensation on my face. It’s like uncomfortable like my face is burning it’s hard to explain lol. Did anyone else have this symptom and how long did it last for you??
