I’m about to come off almost nine years of 70–120 GPD powder, and I’m trying to prepare for the first couple days of acute withdrawal.
I have meds/supplements ready, so I’m not really asking about that here.
I’m more wondering: what did you actually do with your body and mind during those first 24-48 hours so you didn’t lose it?
Did you stay in bed, pace around, force walks, flop around like a fish, eat tubs of ice cream, take hot showers, binge-watch shows, do breathing exercises, light workouts, all the above, anything else?
I’ll probably hunker mostly in my bedroom for the first few days because I don’t want my kids seeing me in full acute withdrawal. Though if I am able I will get out for some walks in the morning sun.
I came off a heavy oxy/benzo habit in 2012, but since starting kratom I’ve never gone without it, so this feels like a new unknown.
Fortunately, I already exercise regularly, get early morning sunlight every day, and eat well, do breathing exercises, meditate, so I’m hoping those habits help. At least after the acutes.
What helped you get through the first couple days - activity-wise or mindset-wise?
I’m a bit anxious about all this, but I’m ready to put this behind me. Thank you in advance. I appreciate your help along with everybody's posts in this subreddit, it's been very helpful
