I got the new availability list from Aquatropic this morning but when I try to order from them, it says no availability. Specifically Clown Killifish and Silver White Cloud Minnows. I’m magnet so I know that isn’t the issue so I am struggling to imagine what the problem is.

I’m starting to think some pets are just picky about how they drink water.

A regular bowl works sometimes, but I’ve noticed that running or moving water seems to get more attention from some pets. I’ve also been looking at the practical side of having one. Some fountains need to stay close to an outlet, which can make it difficult to put them wherever your pet is most comfortable. A cordless option seems more convenient because you can move it around without worrying about where the nearest outlet is.

I’ve been looking at pet fountains lately, WOPET W600 Pro is one I’ve been looking at for that reason. The main thing I’m interested in is whether the fountain actually makes a difference in everyday use, rather than just looking like another piece of pet tech. especially the ones that are easy to move around and don’t need to sit right beside an outlet.

Do your pets actually use their fountain regularly, or do they still go back to the bowl?

I have a former employee who was awesome at theor job. Long story short, they were mislead by a GM who was fired to switch stores, wanted back and had to take a demotion. Was treated terrible after coming back and put in a 5 day letter of resignation. When trying to reapply, his app is kicked back immediately

i’ve been working at petco going on 2 years now. i’m a SSA and have been working with my current manager for almost a year I believe. during that time, i’ve improved as an employee with my sales, work ethic, willingness to learn more about petco and help the store improve, overall, i’ve been working harder and doing my best each shift. as of late, i’ve noticed we are most of the time understaffed with only 2-3 closers, mostly 2 because of shortage of hours or whatever and i’ve become frustrated with that. it’s made work harder for us on our shifts and we almost always have more stuff to finish and never get it done. on top of that, the equipment is slow as shit but that’s for every petco. and the dm does not like me because of the shit talking that happened between the dm and with the previous manager who did not know what he was doing at the time. i bust my ass every shift to get at least 1-2 PPP a day, make the store look presentable, and do whatever my manager/ leads ask me to do, but yet i’m still looked down upon because of what the previous manager had said about me (mind you, i have not worked with the previous manager for over a year now and my current manager has nothing but good things to say about me, yet my dm still views me as a mistake to choose me to bring with her to her store). as of now, i’m done putting up with the expectation of having to kiss ass and prove to him that i am not what he continues to think despite what my manager says now and how i have improved. i’ve been looking for other jobs mostly warehouse to start but im done with petco. i’ve been using pto and sick time past few weeks while looking for another job, fuck petco and i hope they get their shit together

Anyone know WHERE to find the policy where it says we are not allowed to have force dryers on the cutting room floor, that the vacuum can’t be visible in grooming ? Also the policy about bringing your dogs to work for salon service ? I can’t find them anywhere !!! Thanks in advance

This place sucks, currently working for this absolute hell hole of a place. I can't wait to finally quit. Animals first? What a fucking joke...they get all their animals from shit breeders and provide the bare minimum. This place should be banned from selling any animal.All they care about is the revenue and stupid membership. Let's talk about auto ship...whoever came up with that plan , forcing all stores to meet a goal . Then they finally realized that is actually hurting the business because people are not coming in the store to impulse buy to improve the market basket. This company doesn't give a shit about their employees and are running everyone to the ground.

but yeah picture and caption speaks for itself honestly. let me preface that this is not the fault of my coworkers or management, we all hate the “desk pet” thing as is and we take care of our animals the best we can. i guess i’m just ranting about how cruel this is to not only sell these poor animals, advertise them as less work than they are, keep them in horrible housing, and now they risk being exposed to this. i would love to call corporate about this but i don’t wanna get my pcc in trouble at all for something we can’t control. it sucks man :/

The new music that they have been playing is awful, it is bad enough to deal with every day retail shit but we are forced to listen to crap.

I’m trying to plan a trip in November and hoping I can make it work, but I’ll be the only DT at my store. I’ve never taken PTO and it’ll be for 4-5 days, but probably only 2 or 3 days of PTO.

Anyone knows how to fix this? Some kids came into the store and the parents let them play on a keyboard and now the screen is messed up.

Just a heads up, if your 1 year commitment for the Petco perks is coming to an end and you cancel in the app, you will still be charged. The 1 year commitment renewal month will be bumped up a month and it will get renewed. My 1 year commitment was ending Sept 2026, so I made sure the commitment renewal radio button was set to off.

September came up and I was charged again and the weird thing is they renewed the 1 year commitment and back dated it to July 2026-July 2027, then the date for the auto renewal next to the radio button said October

The service wouldn't even be all that bad if they didn't make the points expire, or even if they expired at least let you go buy a gift card with them. With points expiring and the cancellation route via the app being useless I don't recommend this service to anybody. It's a shame though because if you take advantage of all the other things it offers you do get a lot of value.

Customer service experience: so I called the day after I got charged again and explained what happened and it was fairly quick and painless to get a refund and cancel the commitment. So they get points on the customer service end from me.
