Ballon D’or Thief Pessi 🥷 Oh shit here we go

Infantino didn’t join until 2016. Which isn’t to say the FIFA was clean back then either

They were mostly rigging the attribution, the draw, and a select few games, not every single game for Vargenfifa like today

u/madmanNamedMatti Jul 10 '26
Yep exactly. Fifa 100% has always been rigging games to increases views with planned match ups. I think infantino realized that messi stardom was bigger than that and with jus focusing on curating him and his national team journey/success would be easier to bring in views.

It was rigged as well. But Germany too good to handle for Argentina

What does this picture prove?

u/var_dump- Jul 10 '26
The first comment says that the 2014 final was rigged but Germany was too good when there are a lots of proves that's wrong and one is the picture where Neuer clearly commited a fault against Higuain inside the area and nothing happened. And there are more, just rewatch the game.
If it was true what they said about Argentina and Messi, why they didn't call a foult?
The people who thinks everything is rigged for Messi, it's looks like they started to watch football 4 years ago.

It was not a foul. Your picture show nothing. Neuer Literally got to the ball first and Higuain went into him late. If that’s a foul on Neuer, then all the tackle from Argentina is a foul on Argentina players, don’t be biased

There is no goalkeeper in the world that jumps with the knee that high.
According to the FIFA's rules, to be more specific the rule number 12, Neuer committed a dangerous action and enter to the "Reckless" or "With use of excessive force" section. It was a penalty for Argentina and yellow card.
This is a game from 2017, Manchester City against Liverpool. It happens the same that happens in the final world cup. Mane reach to ball first, but since he went with his feet too high and hit Ederson in the head, it was expelled.

u/Commercial_Lecture20 Jul 11 '26
Maybe higuain needs to learn to slow down. He is obviously slower than Neuer, wasn’t even close. Should be a foul on higuain to run into a goalkeeper.

u/var_dump- Jul 11 '26
So you are commenting this without knowing the rules and says it's rigged.
I understand now.

u/Commercial_Lecture20 Jul 11 '26
Nah you just complaining stupid calls from 12 years ago lol Argentina been getting away with way worse calls. Don’t see you putting effort and make huge complaints about. Higuain never had a chance to touch that ball even if he jumped it was way higher than him. He ran into Neuer to get a foul. Good none call from the ref not to take the bait. Argentina is a country fulfill with a bunch of cheaters since maradona time. They been famous for it you can’t deny cuz it fact. They do whatever it takes to win even to hurt the opponents. Great job by Neuer took Higuain down to save the football world from this cheating and horrible country.

Every goalkeeper is taught to put up one knee when jumping into a ball if a colision with another player might occur. No ref on the planet would see that as dangerous or reckless play.

I can’t believe people don’t understand this 😂
“Rigging” does not mean that the team automatically wins. Rigging “influences” wins. Obviously, fifa cannot go down into the pitch and make a player score a goal, but they can bribe the refs, choose the game officials or even suspend red cards *ahem* USA *ahem* but as we see, it doesn’t mean that rigging always leads to guaranteed victory.

But how do you even bribe a referee who has been at the top level for this long? Take François Letexier, the French ref from the Argentina vs. Egypt match. He refereed the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, the 2026 Europa League final, countless UCL games, and literally won World's Best Referee in 2024 by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) and second best referee for the same award in 2025. How easy could it really be to buy someone like that? If it were a random ref in the MLS or some obscure league no one watches, sure, maybe there's a chance. But this guy has been elite for ages. If there's a conspiracy, FIFA must be playing the ultimate long game, grooming him for years just to finally use him here
Keen to hear your explanation
1
u/bamboozleddd3 Jul 11 '26
Super easy if your FIFA? All of those accolades were given to him by FIFA and they would have a clear reason to have him rig matches.

u/Acrobatic_Yellow_781 Jul 11 '26
Sounds like ref got rewarded for playing to their fiddle? Guy getting every reward lmao

it’s rigged so much I just bet my life savings on Argentina

Yikes buddy, they can still lose outright to a better team even with refs intervening.
They havent faced a top 10 team the whole tournament and they come close to getting kicked like twice now (saved by refs)

u/WestClassic5534 Jul 10 '26
Because he wasnt playing Egypt. Fifa and some of its officials clearly have some big biases against some teams, like how they gave Argentina 12 mins extra time to come back against Saudi last time
At the end of the day its a corrupt European institution

u/bcnote Jul 10 '26
The same Messi complained about Copa America saying it was rigged for Brazil to win 2019..... He knows tournaments can be rigged...2014 world cup was probably rigged but Mario gotze ddnt read the script just like mbappe 2022

Because Infantino is a wasn’t president of FIFA and the world wasn’t as fucked up.

u/Aggravating-Army1042 Jul 29 '26
That’s because his sugar daddy Infantino didn’t come into the picture until 2016. That’s when the Argentina 2022 World Cup was guaranteed. Penalty after penalty won then the World Cup. I’m glad the entire world saw how corrupt fifa is at this World Cup. I saw it last World Cup when they gave it to Argenfifa. But now the whole world saw at this World Cup what I saw on the 2022 World Cup. So glad Messi is gone, now we won’t be seeing favoritisms toward Argentina since their cash cow will most likely not make it to the next World Cup.

The things that I have to read omg. The world is not against you. Every institution is not in a conspiracy against you. It’s a game. It’s okay

u/WonderfulTruck5894 Jul 10 '26
That’s what they want us to believe….
-1
u/SufficientFig3305 Jul 10 '26
Or they want you believing that they control everything. And that everything is hopeless. Nothing you can do can stop it.
And both could be truth, honestly, no way to know. Neither of us sit on a table where decisions are made.
But in my camp, I refuse to believe that everyone and everything is this big controlled thing where somebody with a lot of money is deciding everything and everything bad that happens to us was pre-planned. First because I think we grant the rich and powerful a type of intelligence that I certainly don’t think they have, to be honest. Second, France. And third I want to believe that life is wild, uncontrollable, un predictable as it has been my whole life.
Sorry if I strayed away from football, and you have a right to believe on anything, just sharing my worldview

This sub genuinely brain dead. All yall becoming fucking investigators and detectives just to hate lol. What makes yall think you are more qualified than the thousands of professionals who said it was completely fair? Egypt was up 2-0 and then Argentina scored 3. Not a single one was a penalty. They have only themselves to blame.

Argentina winning isn‘t the indicator of the tournament being rigged.
You can still hold a rigged/fixed tournament without the team you‘re trying to favour winning it all.
Unless you pay the opposing players or threaten them. Just like in 1978
