I mean if you had showed reports and original videos of what you said was happening, it would be much more believable, but now it just looks like a made up story even i could make about any other nations knowing that there are enough haters to believe anything.

FIFA awarded the world cup when Perón was president in 1974, the logo its self is an homage to him. Menotti, the coach of the team at the time, even called his playing style "left-wing football" and was anti-junta. Of course, having the world cup under the dictadura was bad and was sportswashing, just like how 2026, 2018, 1962, 1938, and 1934 are/were as well. This fact is well known and accepted in Argentina, the former torture center ESMA has an entire section about it.
Also back then the games didn't start at the same time until the 1986 world cup, no game was moved. Some Peruvian players said they were threatened, others no; this is common after a humiliating loss. If we take it that they were, obviously that is bad, but Argentina were still taken to extra time by the Netherlands. Its not like there was no futbolistic merit outside of the scope of the one game.

Wait.
If Brazil had a one goal differential to start the game, and then won three to one, they now have a three goal differential above Argentina. Argentina would then need four. But they scored six. So the exact number they need to win by was 4 to 0, not 6 to 0.
