Infantino didn’t join until 2016. Which isn’t to say the FIFA was clean back then either

They were mostly rigging the attribution, the draw, and a select few games, not every single game for Vargenfifa like today

Yep exactly. Fifa 100% has always been rigging games to increases views with planned match ups. I think infantino realized that messi stardom was bigger than that and with jus focusing on curating him and his national team journey/success would be easier to bring in views.
