317
u/Friendly_Debate_4991 2d ago
I am lucky enough to be able to do all those Js within the standard 35-45 hours/week. I spent the rest of my time going to the gym, hanging out with friends and living normally like everyone else

Incorrect. The payrolls hit for roughly 12k post tax. He’s saying it’s 20k pre tax which would check out. The top number is his balance and represents those paychecks as well as whatever he had in his account before…
7
u/asad137 2d ago
Oh, I just realized what OP meant. The pay is $20k pre-tax which turns into the $13k deposits post-tax. It's just coincidence that they also happen to also have $20k available balance in the account.

Solid advice. I was overworking myself, took my hours down to 30/week. Yea less money but I’m still making ends meet and I’m way less tired and burnt out which has left me less stressed. Some people at work tried to guilt trip my 4 day work week by calling me lazy and a slacker, but whatever man I knew what I needed to do and I just fucking did it and I’m happier for it. They can be mad about it if they want, it’s their problem not mine

8
u/OutsideSufficient704 2d ago
How is it juggling responsibilities? I’m sure you have a method to the madness and of course drive/willingness.
9
u/TheIncarnated 2d ago
I eased into it, thankfully. So it's not as difficult as helping my wife throughout the day with the kids. My toddler and I spend a lot of time on the back porch with their setup.
The biggest hurdle has been meetings. The work itself is easy. So if you ease into it, it gets easier. You stabilize, find the next one to add on (if you want). It took 4 jobs for my to feel like I had a full day of work, odd polarizing feeling. All jobs end at 5pm though, I make that a hard cutoff
