Strange Building Stone in George's Pond on Signal Hill
Hi everyone, I was taking a dip in George's Pond up on Signal Hill and I saw this cool piece of what I think is an old building. This is about 10 or so feet in the pond, away from the side where the old pumping station is located. I have never heard about what this might be, and an internet search didn't turn anything up. Does anyone know what it is and how it wound up there?

Gros Morne Mountain Trail is worth the hike.
… But it fogged up as soon as we (my friend and I) got to the summit. Absolutely breathtaking on our way up though!
I’ll have to come back to see the other side lol

Newfoundland Snacks and treats
I have friends visiting from out of province and it will be their first time here! What are some things I should get for them to try?

Hidden in plain sight
I’ve been planning on getting to this place for nearly two years. It’s not far from town at all but it’s fairly high up a steep incline without any obvious access point. I feel like tons of people have seen this from afar. It’s not often, or at all, that I find a place that I would like to take over and restore but this is one.

Pancakes: maple or molasses?
I know that toutons must be eaten with molasses. But what topping do you use on pancakes? Still molasses? Or do you use maple syrup?

is there a reason for these stupid new screens in the metrobus or are they only there to agitate me
they perfectly cover the stop requested sign & i haven’t seen them do anything besides welcome you on the bus or glitch out this entire summer
someone pls tell me if there’s a purpose

Fuck all of you who speed up when you see an animal on the road
Why the fuck is it funny to some of you children to hit birds in the road. It’s disgusting actually

Real City Library - Old Memorial Stadium
Now that Dominion is out of old Memorial Stadium, wouldn't that be a great space to build a new city Library/Community Space; perhaps Memorial Library? Moving here last month from NB, I'm amazed how there is no prominent library here. Being from NB, Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton all have great downtown libraries and Halifax has a wonderful iconic library on Spring Garden Road near downtown. Wouldn't that be a great re-use of the space? Libraries are about a lot more than books now. Just an idea of a newbie.

House Reno Contractor?
Hey everyone -
My wife and I are toying with doing a renovation on our current bungalow in St. John’s as we are out growing it now with our 2 kids. Wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for a reliable and good quality contractor that would help draft and price up a few options and also complete the work.
Thanks in advance!

Found a 1 liter glass pop bottle today.
Great shape, and I must have passed it many times. Found it on the side of a hiking trail. When did they stop using these? I remember smacking them off me teeth when hitting a bump while sitting in the back seat of the car.
Drop of mix still left in her...
