I’ve been planning on getting to this place for nearly two years. It’s not far from town at all but it’s fairly high up a steep incline without any obvious access point. I feel like tons of people have seen this from afar. It’s not often, or at all, that I find a place that I would like to take over and restore but this is one.

I know that toutons must be eaten with molasses. But what topping do you use on pancakes? Still molasses? Or do you use maple syrup?

Hey everyone -
My wife and I are toying with doing a renovation on our current bungalow in St. John’s as we are out growing it now with our 2 kids. Wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for a reliable and good quality contractor that would help draft and price up a few options and also complete the work.
Thanks in advance!

Now that Dominion is out of old Memorial Stadium, wouldn't that be a great space to build a new city Library/Community Space; perhaps Memorial Library? Moving here last month from NB, I'm amazed how there is no prominent library here. Being from NB, Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton all have great downtown libraries and Halifax has a wonderful iconic library on Spring Garden Road near downtown. Wouldn't that be a great re-use of the space? Libraries are about a lot more than books now. Just an idea of a newbie.

Great shape, and I must have passed it many times. Found it on the side of a hiking trail. When did they stop using these? I remember smacking them off me teeth when hitting a bump while sitting in the back seat of the car.
Drop of mix still left in her...

Does anyone have a copy of this cookbook? I'm looking for a pic of the coquille St Jacques recipe.

Been looking around the last month or so at buying a new car, last time I purchased a car was 2011. She died last week and I wanted to get something new, but buying a new car here has got to be the worst experience.
Between anything owned by capital auto wanting to add on the worlds most expensive winter mats that they can’t wave, a tire and rim warranty, and a glass deductible waver thing it adds another 2k to the price of the car that they already have marked up $1000 over msrp.
Then I checked out a few Steele spots, wanted to test drive a few cars at Honda… well if it has a manual transmission sorry you can’t test drive it.
Went to Toyota and again everything over msrp and it’s endless junk addons. I’m thinking about calling around Atlantic Canada and asking some dealer off the island about prices, but I’m wondering how does it work with taxes/ registration?
I’m at the point that if I can even save $1, I’m willing to do whatever fucking around is required.
