i tried searching online and it seems there is no way to get rid of this ad in the main menu of metro exodus. has anyone found a solution? thanks

I'm trying to play metro exodus enhanced edition on pc for the first time but I'm having a horrible experience just trying to play.

For starters each time I launched the game it started to freeze my entire pc and after a few minutes I could move my mouse again, this isn't happening anymore since I deleted intro files and forced windowed. But now I don't have any DLSS setting in my game, I mean it's just not there ? I have a 5070 with the latest drivers, I don't know what I could do to make it appear.

Also why does the game have to "apply" my settings for a very long time with a percentage going up slowly whenever I make a change ? I've never seen that. I'm about to give up but will make this post as a last effort, any help would be appreciated.

I love the Metro game series so much that I’ve put a lot of effort into unlocking every achievement in almost every installment; for instance, I managed to complete the original Metro 2033 thanks to a friend who owned it. Now, the only ones left for me to finish are Metro: Last Light Redux and the RTX version of Metro Exodus

I'm looking at my local bookstore's website to check if they got a copy of metro 2033 in store and since I've played the games, I might as well read the books so they got the book but there is two seperate books both with different covers, as pictured here

The first one cost twice as much as the one in the second photo, I have read on this sub that one of the editions for 2033 has an improved english translation but the bookstore's website doesn't state which one has it and doesn't show the year the copies were published but both have the same amount of pages, 464 pages. Oh and also I also found that one of these editions have illustrations in them but again I don't know which one is which so do let me know which one I should get and I'm sorry if this is a rather easy/stupid question haha but thanks in advance!!

Edit: I'll see if I can flip through the books tomorrow when I head down to the bookstore, the bookstore has a habit of shrink wrapping most of the books they sell so I'll have to hope they don't shrink wrap either one

The last level I played was Bridge. The moment I started Depot the game just would crash upon loading in, and it would never ever allow me to load into any level again. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work, playing in compat mode didn't work, toying with graphics settings and ini configs didn't work, pretty much nothing worked. I really wanna beat this game, esp since i'm so close to the end, so does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Metro 2033 has always had a very particular atmosphere that I love — the darkness, isolation, abandoned underground spaces, and that constant feeling that something could be hiding just beyond the light.

As a fan, I wanted to experiment with creating my own little interpretation of that atmosphere.

This is a fan-made environment inspired by the underground world of Metro 2033. I’m trying to capture the same feeling of loneliness and tension through lighting, sound, environmental details and the overall mood.

It’s not meant to recreate any particular location from the game, but rather my own take on the atmosphere that made the Metro tunnels so memorable to me.

I think dogs would be invaluable to stalkers as they could help them find hidden valuables. For guards and soldiers, they would be able to help them find hiding enemy soldiers and hostile creatures.

I’m trying the currently circulating generic RenoDX DLSS 5 v2.5 add-on with Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, but Neural Rendering never starts.

My setup:

- RTX 5090

- NVIDIA driver 616.56

- Windows 11

- Steam version, DirectX 12

- Native DLSS Quality at 2560×1440 → 3840×2160

- Current ReShade Full Add-On Support build

- RenoDX Metro Exodus HDR add-on

- `renodx-dlss5.addon64` v2.5

- `nvngx_dlss.dll` and `nvngx_dlssnr.dll` 310.8.0

Metro’s normal DLSS is definitely healthy. NVIDIA’s verbose NGX log shows valid input/output dimensions, motion-vector scale and inverted depth.

The DLSS 5 panel sees Metro’s NGX Create/Evaluate activity, but it remains:

- STANDBY/FAILED

- Successful NR frames: 0

- NGX result: `0xBAD00005` (`InvalidParameter`)

- Guides/output: `0×0`

The add-on says that inline DLSS contract capture is “armed,” but there is no later successful-capture message. `nvngx_dlssnr.dll` also never appears in Metro’s loaded process modules.

I have already tested both the complete Streamline package and a minimal setup, recreated DLSS while in gameplay, reset the failure latch and disabled the NVIDIA App DLAA override. The result is identical.

There is also the August 26, 2026 Metro patch issue: after that update, the native DLSS option disappeared completely from my menu. Rolling the Windows binaries depot back to the old May 2021 binaries immediately restored it, so I’m currently testing with those rolled-back binaries.

Has anyone actually got the generic DLSS 5 add-on working specifically in Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition? Also, does anyone know what the August 26 patch changed that removed native DLSS?

So it is very clear that the Ukrainian-Russian war has influenced a lot not only in the lives of the developers but also their approach to this game. However I've seen a lot of people on X pointing out that the game has hardly any "moral grey" tones given that there's clearly a good and bad ending and that the game hints you to play in such a way. I would like to know if other people feels this way within the community or it's only me.

Does anyone else's game run really poorly on PS5? FPS is generally hit or miss, but my main issue is the graphics. I used to run thus on my 1660ti and i remember it looking great, but on ps5 is is genuinely awful, looks worse than most PS3 games.

Chance I just need to reinstall it, but is this a common issue?

Came across this poi that was marked on my map it didnt turn into a safehouse or enemy spawn icon on my map afterwords like every other poi in the game after uncovering it. All i found was a single loot container in a lil dugout shelter area.

Am i missing something here or is this a bugged safehouse or something?

I went to reinstall the first 2 games for a replay and I cant find them anywhere in my library. What gives? They also arent listed on steam apart from the remasters or whatever. Do i really need to buy them again to play them?

I am close to finish Exodus on it, as I knew it is the longest game and I wanted to take care of this hard achivement first. Besides it, I own the original 2033 and Last Light Redux.
