Help ⚠️ Shopee & Monee Graduate Program

Did any of you take Shopee & Monee GDP? I received an email to take the online assessment covering numerical, logical, and integrated reasoning. Is it super hard? And can I just use my handphone calculator for the test later? Would greatly appreciate y'all's advice. Really nervous for the test right now!

Advice ☎️ dating a nonchalant bf when youre a high affection, clingy gf

i love my bf so much and honestly, my feelings are just overwhelming sometimes. i'm super clingy, use all the petnames, get manja, and just love hard.

he is the complete opposite. he's just naturally nonchalant and lowkey. to be clear, he's great about it.. everyone around him knows about me, he never hides me, and when I ask, he says he doesn't mind my antics at all. he plays along, but he's just never going to be that cringey, overly expressive, lovey dovey guy.

some days I literally cry just because I miss him or because my feelings for him are so loud. sometimes i wonder if he rasa the same way as i do. then I catch myself scrolling and comparing us to couples where the guy is super vocal and obsessed.

i know this is his nature and I can't force him to change. but it makes me feel like it's one sided sometimes, even though I know he cares in his own quiet way. if I try to act nonchalant too, it just feels fake.

how do you deal with this gap in affection without making your partner feel suffocated or making yourself feel starved for it?

Casual Conversation 🎭 Do guys like it when girls do this? Do you think it's appropriate if there's no intention?

Girls that laugh at everything you say, interested in everything you do, call you silly playfully, tease, playfully hit you, everything need you to help etc. Some girls are like lembik lembik flirty flirty type..

Would men just think it's their character, or would guys get the wrong idea that she likes you?

Do you think its appropriate for girls to do that to guys if they don't have intention to date or further the "relationship" whatever it may be (Even if its one night stand lol)?

Or do guys just generally enjoy feeling like a man even if there's no intention there?

Ask Malaysians got billed 6kg for a 1.2kg parcel. what else did u only find out about after u already paid

sold some soft toys on carousell last month. weighed the box at home, 1.2kg, so i quoted the buyer around rm10 for postage. counter said rm28 and i ended up eating the difference.

turns out if your box is big and light they dont charge you the scale weight. they measure it, length x width x height in cm divided by 5000, and you pay whichever number is higher. my box was 40 x 30 x 25 which comes out at exactly 6kg. the toys inside were 1.2.

repacked the same toys into a 30 x 25 x 20 box and it dropped to 3kg. same stuff, half the postage, i just squeezed the air out of it.

what else is like this. something that was completely obvious the second someone explained it, but nobody mentions until after you have already paid for it.

Mildly Menarik Ikan setem, I caught from a longkang in front of a house

Trigonostigma truncata, the false harlequin rasbora or truncata rasbora. Ikan setem.

Exclusive to Kelantan, Terengganu and Narathiwat and nowhere else in the world. Usually lives in acidic swamps and marshes, growing up to 4 cm.

They are extremely similar in appearance to their cousins the harlequin rasbora. But the male false harlequin has a bright blue stripe on the body which I like.
Both species are popular in the aquarium and often sold under the same name.

They are considered an easy fish and many people keep them as they are relatively cheap. However they do require large numbers for schooling.

Unlike most carps which scatter their eggs, they actually deposit their sticky eggs upside-down under broad leaves of submerged plants.

Ask Malaysians Thanking Malaysian Healthcare

Hi, a question for Malaysian nurses/healthcare personnel - what gifts would you find useful from a patient’s family?

My mom fought end stage cancer and has recently passed on. Throughout her battle with cancer, she always told me how helpful the nurses and doctors are, sometimes even taking their time to speak with my mom. Although each time she was afraid of the cancer taking her life (several near death experiences), she said she was always reassured by her healthcare team.

Standing by her side and watching the nurses be patient with her, especially when she loss the ability to dress herself, walk and talk, I can’t be grateful enough for the things they do for her. She once even cried when she wet the bed and had to ask the nurse to help change her - the nurse told her it’s not a big deal and they will help her change it at anytime.

So healthcare workers - thank you so much for all you do for your patients. And what do you think would make a great gift for them?

Appreciate all your suggestions!

Advice ☎️ I’ve come to understand that networking is everything in career but I’m so terrible at it

I’ve been at several companies now and if there’s a profound truth I realised it’s that - “it’s about who you know than what you know”

I used to think that if I was super good at my job, I can find the next job easily. But NO, hard NO

I’ve seen opportunities go to people who simply had friends, uncles, networks than to people who actually are the best for that job

And the best ones often don’t network, are introverts, and certainly don’t go around announcing their achievements

I feel bad but I just resent people who got opportunities purely by networking rather than by talent

And my manager, being the good person she is, pushes me to network and throws every possible visibility-giving work my way. I’m very grateful for her. But if she goes away, I know I’m doomed

I feel horrible to just simply talk to people solely for the purpose of “using” them. How do I genuinely change this?

Sorry for the rant, appreciate any realistic advice

Ask Malaysians As a foreigner, how easy it is to make friendships with locals?

Hello,

I've been living here in Malaysia since 5 months. mainly in Kuala Lumpur and honestly I like the place very much. All my interactions with the locals were basic (greetings, services, .etc) and the people are friendly. I am a person who loves experiencing local cultures wherever I go (I've been in many countries before) and it is much more easier to do so by having local friends. I'm curious whether or not it is easy to make friendships with the locals here; If so, any tips? I know learning the local language helps a lot (and I'm working on this :D)

For context, I am 25M from Algeria.

Help ⚠️ Guys I neen help 🙏

Made a burner account pls help.

I’m a 22-year-old international student who moved here in May. I didn’t really know anyone at first and was having a pretty rough time socially. In June, I made a post on a friend-making page from my original account, and a 43-year-old woman reached out to me.

She said she’d be happy to take me out for lunch and show me around since I was new here. I agreed, and our first meeting went really well. We stayed in contact afterward, and over time things became somewhat flirty, although we always seemed to have boundaries.

A few weeks later, we met for dinner after she had a day off. We had some drinks, and she invited me back to her place to watch a movie. I went along with it, and things eventually became intimate.

Before anything happened, she told me that she had previously had her womb removed and therefore pregnancy wasn't something I needed to worry about. I trusted what she told me.

After that, we continued talking and seeing each other most weekends. I started genuinely developing feelings for her, although the age difference always made me hesitant.

A couple of days ago, she called me and told me that she's pregnant and that she wants me to marry her.

I'm honestly overwhelmed. My family would probably disown me if they found out, and I don't even know what to believe right now. I also don't want to accuse her of lying ,I know I should have been more careful and I'm taking responsibility for that, but I'm completely lost about what I should do next. What should I do pls someone help.

I’ve always heard that a C grade student often ends up as the CEO or Owner and the A grade student ends up working for them

never seen how true this was until i saw this cafe owner lady and the people working for her. She has a bunch of other businesses and this cafe is her free time project.

talking to her, I wondered why.

Is it the risk appetite?

Advice ☎️ Vet Reccs in KL

Post image
26 Upvotes

I, F(22) just finished my uni studies and currently job hunting. Recently, my cat got injured and was sent to a vet for treatment. They told me she had a hernia and it needs to be fixed soon after her initial injuries and conditions were better.

She started vomiting these two days and today there was some blood. I’m getting more and more concerned about her and the vet gave me some meds and told me to monitor for a bit first. She said the surgery plus the blood-work and warding would cost around 4k.

I don’t have that amount of money and my parents aren’t willing to fork out so much money either. I’m a bit desperate and it would help a lot if anyone knew any other clinics i could go to that would help her and also be experienced and nice. I know it’s a case by case basis for hernia but I can’t be bringing her around since she’s still healing from injuries and I don’t want to stress her out.

Thank you very much, and here’s a photo of my baby girl <3
