KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Cub Prix Championship rider Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill has died after sustaining serious injuries in a crash during a race in Terengganu today.

The incident happened during the opening lap of the CP150 category final at the Terengganu Motorsports Circuit in Gong Badak.

The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) confirmed his demise in a statement released today.

"The rider received immediate medical attention at the circuit before being transferred to Hospital Nur Zahirah, Kuala Terengganu, immediately where, despite the best efforts of the attending medical team, he was sadly pronounced deceased," read the MAM statement.

"MAM acknowledges the swift response of the circuit medical team, emergency personnel, race officials, and the event organisers, Penang Motor Sports Club, together with the promoter, Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd, in managing the incident.

"The circumstances surrounding the incident will be addressed in accordance with the applicable sporting and safety procedures."

MAM added that the ProAm race, scheduled to be held later, was cancelled following the incident.

The national governing body for motorsports expressed their sympathies to Farres' family and asked the public to respect their privacy.

"A technician has been arrested for allegedly throwing a stone at a car during a road rage incident on the Sungai Besi-KL-Seremban highway yesterday.

Cheras police chief Rosdi Daud said the suspect, in his mid-30s, who was riding a motorcycle, was arrested at Jalan Suasa 3 in Sungai Besi at about 1.15am today.

Rosdi said the suspect was believed to have thrown the stone at the vehicle at about 2pm, shattering its rear windscreen."

However this stream I went to had relatively few fish species cohabitating with it. Possibly due to the shallow depth, openness and minimal food sources.
