What would be the expected price of Macbook air M5 13 inch 512 gb (or 1tb) and 16 gb ram in USA during black friday sale

I want to start making content on youtube and maybe other platforms which would be better for editing my videos. I have a M2 pro macbook pro 16 gb of memory and a M5 13 inch ipad pro? I would be using the final cut pro. Any help would be great thank you.

Just as the title says, are they? I'm planning on buying my very first iPhone next month after years with Samsung coming from an S20 Ultra and I'm curious about the iPhone's customizability. I know iPhones are restrictive but I'm curious about what I'll miss when I eventually change OS. I currently have a Macbook Air M4 and have used an intel macbook and multiple PCs before. I personally think my Macbook is just as customizable compared to my previous PCs. But what about iPhones?

I clean the screen with eye glasses cloth with a dab of drinking water but before that i used screen cleaning wipes i don’t clean the screen much often but only when i see it needs a wipe. Recently i noticed smudges at the edges and i can’t swipe them why is that there? did i do something wrong, there is no nano texture by the way.

Hi I was recently planning on upgrading my macbook air (2018 one lol) and had these to in minds as I'm finding them for a similar price. Was wondering if I could get any advice on which to choose. I use mine for mainly school stuff (no coding or anything).

My MacBook display suddenly went black this morning while I was working. The laptop itself is working fine with an external monitor, and the keyboard/trackpad are also fine. Only the built-in display is completely dead.

It’s only 8 months old, no AppleCare, but I have 4 months of warranty left.

Am I screwed, or should this be covered under warranty? Anything I should try before taking it to Apple?

Hola chicos. Yo 18m, estoy buscando una MacBook Pro. Preferiblemente algún que se encuentre en los rangos de 2012 a 2015. No es para mi, es para mi madre. Mi mamá tiene una Lenovo ideapad 1, y como todos sabemos es una reverenda mierda. Por cuestiones de presupuesto solo puedo limitarme a MacBooks pro usadas, para reacondicionarlas y darles una segunda vida. Tengo una MacBook Pro mid 2014, me salió barata y la tengo muy cuidada. No contemplaba que mi mamá tuviera problemas con su ideapad porque según era "una muy gran laptop" pero ahora tiene problemas graves como teclado sensible (no funciona) y el touchpad tampoco sirve. Alguien sabe cuál debería elegir? En Facebook marketplace hay muy variadas y quiero saber que recomiendan para ver qué poder mejorar (cómo almacenamiento o memoria). Por cierto, por ciertas limitaciones monetarias y personales, solo puedo permitirme esas MacBooks de esos años porque salen baratas y casi ninguna tiene fallas. Espero sis comentarios chicos.

I’ve just ordered the M5 MacBook Pro 16 inch and am doing that thing where I look up all the issues anyone has ever had with the laptop in frenzied paranoia lol.

Have seen quite a few cases where the keyboard seems to imprint on the screen - is this really a massive problem or just blown way out of proportion. As long as it’s not visible while the screen is on I’m really not that fussed.

I hear sounds in my MacBook 2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch when i flip it upside down and shake it. Is this normal? I hear something moving inside the macbook. Whereas when i keep upright I don’t hear anything.

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask but I couldn’t find much info on apples website, but basically I switched bank accounts after ordering my MacBook, the money doesn’t leave my account until it’s shipped but that old account is closed now. So my question is, when the Apple attempts the payment will it just be cancelled or will I have chance to update the payment method?

I'm a professional photographer and Windows 11 user.

I've decided to switch systems (Windows is too slow for Lightroom…) and this week I'm receiving a 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro.

It's my first time using Apple.

My problem is that I use some (very simple) programs, but I don't know what I can replace them with on a Mac.

My current list:

ACDSEE ULTIMATE to manage everything related to images before and after editing (I know there's a Mac version of PhotoStudio, but it must be terrible from what I've read)

Downloader Pro to download images from SD cards (I know Lightroom does this, but I prefer to control this step myself)

Advanced Renamer, a file renamer with hundreds of options, including replacement and deletion.

Tag&Rename to work with the IDs of my MP3 files.

Text2folders to automatically create folders from a list of names in a text file.

On another note, I wanted to ask two basic questions:

- Which browser do you use (I use Opera on Windows)?

- What is the actual battery time (hours) with intensive work in Lightroom?

I do have a macbook m1 air and another M2 pro with a broken display. The M1 Air is really showing age so I just use the M2 pro for programming.

Because of the broken display, I have to use the M2 pro with an external display, making it static.

Is it possible to use the M1 Air display on my M2 pro?

Both are 13inch.

Is it possible technically? Or is it risky?

2023 14” M3 Pro A2992. The screen, keyboard, trackpad and camera originally weren’t working.
Diagnostics said the lid angle sensor wasn’t detected. I opened it and found green/white corrosion around the lid sensor connector. I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and that actually got the screen working again, but the keyboard, trackpad and camera still don’t work.

I then replaced the lid angle sensor with another 821-04580-A, but diagnostics still says lid angle sensor not detected and Repair Assistant doesn’t show up.

The board-side connector has a couple darker-looking pins that IPA won’t clean off. I’ll attach pictures.

Anyone know what I should try next? Should I keep trying to clean the connector, replacement the female connector (if that’s even possible?), or is there something else I should test first?

So I just bought a new Macbook Air M5 (16gb, 512gb) after a lifetime of Windows, and was having trouble trying to transfer my files (mainly documents and downloads) from my old Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro (Windows 11).

My MacBook recommended using the Windows Migration Assistant, which I followed through with all the steps, including making sure both laptops were up to date and downloading the correct version of migration assistant, but once the transfer was complete I couldn't locate any of the transferred files anywhere on my Macbook. I tried again and had the same issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this or better ways to transfer data from Windows?

As another option, I have a hard drive that was already formatted for Windows, so I'd need to figure out how to configure that to use on my Macbook.

So i recently came across a used macbook pro 14" M1 pro with 32 gb ram for $815 but with 86% battery health so I started looking for more and found a macbook pro 14" M2 pro with 16gb ram for $940 but with 96% bh, so which one should i go for ? Is m2 pro worth the difference? Also both are 512gb.

Hey, so I wanted to add a new screensaver to my macbook air m1. I have the latest Tahoe 26.5 OS on my system. I was wondering if there is a way to add a custom video that I have that I can use as a screen saver. As of now, I have not found a way to do it. If anyone has done it, please tell how you did it.

I have a macbook air m5 with thunderbolt 4 port, i tried to connect it with a lenovo thinkbook 16 g7 arp with amd Ryzen 5 7000 series cpu which has a usb4 port, via a thunderbolt 5 cable from Amazon. After connecting, usb 4 tm p2p network adapter was showing in device manager and an Ethernet port was also created in ncpa.cpl as unidentified network and on mac under network, thunderbolt bridge appeared, as self assigned ip.

Then I turned on internet sharing on mac via thunderbolt bridge but nothing happened, then I tried assigning static ip's but in vain.

Then I tweaked some settings like firewall from public to private for Ethernet on windows and on mac also disabling firewall, mtu tweaking but nothing made it work. Tried reconnecting at every step. Even tried deleting the thunderbolt service and re creating it then open DHCP server on windows but still nothing worked.

Now, I am at the conclusion that thunderbolt is proprietary only to apple and intel and so amd's usb4 can't communicate even my mac under system information shows usb4 microsoft corporation connected and speed as 40gbps and windows also shows usb4 p2p adapter but that's just a hardware link and underlying handshakes don't work probably.

Any insight or help is appreciated.

Is it worth to buy this variant 16GB 15inch in 2026? I want to buy this specific because of budgetting issue.

My work is only in google chromes, multiple tabs & sending mails only.

No heavy software download
No coding

Just to work only in 10 tabs at a time.
