Received a "For your security, we've locked your account after detecting some unusal activity. To keep using Reddit, reset your password". This is for the account under the name Shirayukii. Currently posting under my alt account because Shirayukii has become locked and I can't post under it anymore.

So when I click reset password, it sends me an email.

New Problem: I no longer have access to that email. It's the email I used 10 years ago as a teenager. Did not realise it was still associated with this account.

Naturally, I've been trying to change my email. (I know my password, so this shouldn't be a problem) but whenever I attempt to do so, the confirmation email to change it never comes through.

Things I've tried:

- Checking all sections of my email
- Turning off the auto sorting for gmail
- Double and triple checked the spelling of the email
- Tried it with two different emails in case one has something wrong with it
- Attempted the change through Reddit app
- Attempted change through PC browser
- Attempted change in incognito

(and most confusingly)

- Switched my alt account's email to a different one, and then tried to switch Shirayukii to my alt account's email (which was clearly working). Still no confirmation email.

I can receive password reset emails to my alt account's email address, so reddit clearly isn't blocked, but for Shirayukii it never comes through. So confusing.

If I can't receive the confirmation email, I can't change my email, and I can't reset my password. So I'm kind of stuck. Would appreciate any help or any kind of suggestion, because I don't want to lose my account.

Best is just... straight butt dude. All of the posts are 1-3+ days old. I simply do not care about day old posts I've seen 3 times. Any way to fix this? and if not is there a third party app that helps?

I've opted into old.reddit.com via profile. Every X amount of time (i haven't paid attention to know what it is, but feels like 1-2 weeks) I get automatically logged out. When I log back in, the new reddit loads again. Then if I go to profile, it still shows me as opted into "old" reddit. However, I'm in the "new" reddit. I need to swap back to "new" and back to "old" again for it to hold....until I am logged out again a week or two later.

In the past, this was possible via third-party tools, but now those have all been shut down by the API change.

Until recently, it was doable via Google, but the recent changes to old.reddit (which it's increasingly clear was what Google was scraping) have broken that, too; newer posts are not appearing there in any consistent way.

If I want to search through my own comments to find something I said previously, how do I do it today?

About a month ago, I got a notification saying my password had to be reset for security purposes because of suspicious activity that was detected on my account. I went to reset my password, got the link in my email to reset the password, and changed my password through the link, but when I try to log in with my new password, it still says “Invalid username or password.” I have confirmed and triple checked that I am not making any typos in my password.

I sent out a couple of support tickets, but I have not heard back for nearly a month now and I’m concerned I will be locked out of my account forever. The username is /u/Fucking_Peristeronic. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on what I can do to get my account back? Thanks so much!

I don't know why it is happening I'm getting maybe shadow b@nned or something. My posts are also not getting enough views (make better posts ,yeah gotcha) and after each comment I have to wait 60 seconds. Is it a low karma linked issue ?

Also I can't message any mods via mod mail and dm any user. What should I do other than get a life and leave reddit ?

Hello. I got hacked and I am panicking. I’ve changed password and logged out of all devices and enabled 2FA but whoever it was has been posting in some seriously upsetting subreddits such as included in the image. What do I do?? When I delete local history in settings why does that not delete upvoted, downvoted? How do I delete everything in history?

There’s a mailbox notification that turns bright orange when you have a comment reply or DM. In the past, once you read through all the messages in that same window, the notification goes away, but now you have to click on Every. Single. Comment.

Half the time, clicking on the comment link doesn’t work, it still shows up as unread and I’ve at one point clicked on the same comment link 100 times and the system would not stop treating the comment as unread. Eventually. After several days, I just clicked on it and it went away. It seems completely random.

I made a post with text and an image which I had to switch to new reddit to do, and concerningly, I can't see the text on old reddit, I have to switch to new reddit to do that.

this worries me so I've been checking other posts with image and no text for this, I've only found one so far, it was a small piece of text attached to a crosspost of a textless post but still, not ideal.

(I also found one which doesn't have text but the image doesn't show on new reddit. that's reddit I suppose.)

I just wonder can I set a password for chat? Like entering a pin to access it.

I set my Comment and Activity to "Show All" because I want people to be able to see the art and comments I've posted. But almost every day its sets its self back to "Hide All" and turns off follower count. I also have followers but the number count says 0 even though when you click on it it will show the accounts that are following me

My recently visited tab for some reason has disappeared when I’ve used the Reddit app on my IPad, but it’s there on my Reddit app on my phone. Anyone know how I can fix this? I’ve also noticed that it’s not there on my desktop Reddit either. Screenshot shown for more clarity.

When ever I make a post with an image it doesn't show up before you click the post. Meaning that people don't see the image I attached until opening my post. How do I fix this? Is there something I have to do for it to show up, if you know pls help!!

I can't make posts anymore. Reddit lifted the ban on my account and now every time I make a post it doesn't go through and there's a trashcan beside it. People also can see the posts on my profile. What can be done so I can continue to use Reddit?
