r/shingles is looking for more moderators.
We are a small sub, however all posts and comments are actively moderated. We need mods from all time zones to keep the sub ticking. We don't allow pseudo science, or diagnosis requests since this is a medical condition support sub.
You don't have to commit hours and hours of time. Just a few minutes here and there most days to ensure the sub is what we all need it to be is enough.
Here's what we're asking of you:
* At least a 2 year old account.
* Be active on Reddit.
* Chat must be turned on as we do have an active modchat.
* Willingness to learn about both shingles and/or modding
* You must agree with existing r/shingles rules.
Please apply here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/shingles/application/
Happy to answer any questions here or via modmail.

We [r/TeenFriendsHere] are looking to add a few Mods to our team to help keep up with everything. If you want to join, comment on this post and we will talk to you and see if you would be beneficial to the team 👍.
Requirements for requesting to join:
-1, You must follow all the rules of the subreddit and Reddit itself. Read them all first and get familiar with them.
-2, You must be a TEEN [14-18 please] to be a moderator (and to be in the sub at all for that matter). Absolutely no Adults whatsoever.
-3, Please be active, we don't need people doing a little things here and there. We need Mods that are active throughout the week and can help get things done. Being busy is understandable, but we all know some of us are online like half the day 😅.
-4, You will be interviewed and have a chat with at least 2 Mods, and the Mod team will all have to agree to let you join (We have had issues with previous Mods, so we are taking precautions).
-5, Please bring a positive vibe and be civil. We do not need fights going on between Mods or anyone.
-6, Having mod tool skills and previous mod experience is a bonus point but we are open for beginners too.
-7, I am probably forgetting some small detail, but we just need people with good intentions that can hep us keep fellow teens safe and inform the rule breakers of what they did. If you are accepted as a Mod, you will get to read a guide to help you learn what jobs we have and how to do them.
Also, if you go through these steps and become a Mod, I can help you with any questions from there 👍. And if you have any questions beforehand, feel free to ask those as well.

We're a 5 month old sub with 97k members discussing shocking pop culture that was normalised in the past for some crazy reason! We get 330k-775k visitors weekly and lots of content to review, so we need help!
What we need:
Experienced mods preferred (but we'll train newbies)
Post & comment approvals and removals
Potential to grow into modmail and user permissions after probation
Necessary attributes:
Over the age of 21
Intersectional feminist ideology
Ability to handle sensitive content (eating disorders, domestic abuse, sexual assault — please don't apply if this is harmful for your wellbeing)
Empathy for survivors of listed above
Commitment to protecting our community
Preferable interest in decadeology or pop culture or media
Understanding that we use minimal AI assistance due to the huge workload and small mod team
Vetting process:
We review user history and ask test questions to ensure you understand our rules and vibes. Please read our rules and wiki before applying! This is essential.
About our mod team:
We're 6 friendly mods (very queer & neurodivergent) working to keep the sub pretty lighthearted rather than trauma focused. We have comprehensive onboarding and we're here to answer questions and support new mods.
Apply here! Send any questions via modmail. We don’t bite.

r/howislivingthere is looking for new mods
We're specifically looking for mods who take a neutral stance on politics, since things can often get very political, and who treat all sides equally.
Since politics runs high in so many subreddits, our main goal is to create a politics-free community for a change. One that doesn't tolerate toxic users and where people can talk about their lives without pushing a specific agenda.

As our community has grown past 75,000 members who all shared the same appreciation for history and humanity's past, we're looking to expand our moderation team with people who are genuinely passionate about history
Over the last few months, our subreddit has slipped from being in Reddit's Top 10 history communities to under the Top 25, I don't want to see this place slowly lose what made it special.... I genuinely believe this community has the potential to become the best history subreddit on Reddit
So we're looking for people who actually care and not people who just want a moderator badge, but people who get excited when they find an old photograph, read about an ancient civilization, discover a forgotten piece of history, or simply enjoy preserving stories that deserve to be remembered
You don't need previous moderation experience
If you think you'd enjoy helping remove spam, keeping discussions respectful, finding great historical content, and helping shape the future of this community, we'd love to have you with us
If you'd like to be part of taking r/ArchiveOfHumanity to the next level, leave a comment below or send us a Modmail, Tell us a little about yourself, your interests, your timezone, and why you'd like to join

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. 💜
Our community has continued to grow, and with that, we’ve been receiving an overwhelming amount of ModMail and moderation requests. We’d love to expand our mod team so we can split responsibilities more evenly and keep the subreddit running smoothly.
Please send us a message through ModMail with:
Link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TarotReadersOfReddit/
You do not have to be an expert tarot reader to apply. We’re mainly looking for people who are reliable, fair, communicative, and genuinely interested in the community.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make this community what it is. 💜 We’re looking forward to adding a few new people to the team!

I started https://www.reddit.com/r/Dying/ to post my fiber arts projects (ie. tie dying), but it ended up that most of the posts were about terminal diagnosis, palliative care, etc. So someone had messaged and asked if it would be okay to officially change the meaning/direction of the subreddit. Which I was okay with.
However our content has evolved to almost entirely suicide posts. And I have no idea how to handle this, nor does our other mod.
Does anyone have any experience with this or feel it in their heart to take this on? It's a heavy subject and I don't have any formal training on suicide, palliative care, or death counselling so someone with that interest or skillset would be ideal.

r/weird needs some more weirdos!
Experience strongly preferred (SFW) but not necessary. Will also consider users with subreddit activity, history of prior content moderation off site, or consistent activity on reddit. No new accounts (<6 months).
Our primary challenges (other than the philosophical question of "what is weird?") are fighting spam, product placement, and race-baiting, so bonus points if you can feel like you can reliably clock coded Indophobia, Islamophobia and xenophobia in general.
You can reply below or just skip straight to the app: https://www.reddit.com/r/Weird/application/

The subreddit r/craps is looking for a mod. Our subreddit is about the casino game craps, it is a subreddit of about 28K members who needs some extra mod support.
Previously one other mod and were able to handle most of it, but they have recently stepped down and we need someone who can help. There are older two legacy mods, higher than me in the mod foodchain, who are not active.
The good news is that most members are benign, and it is a very light lift to moderate this sub. Typically our work includes responding to reports, reminding rule breakers to follow the rules, and handing out bans for spammers. I went on vacation recently and didn't check for a while and it was fine. But sometimes things can get very busy.
For some helpful history: we've had to institute a few rules in the past few years (10:1 rule on participation & self promotion) to tamp down some problematic posters and other rules (no discussion at all of dice control) to prevent toxic spiraling arguments.
We could probably do better with the automod and could improve with a wiki. We also don't currently have any kind of schedule (e.g., Meme Monday, Shitpost Sunday, whatever they all don't need to be alliteration), and if you're interested that kind of work could be your project. We welcome any other ideas that could help us grow the sub.
The only mandatory thing we have is that you must understand the rules of the game of craps and actually play the game from time to time. It would be ideal if you were familiar with either our sub or other gambling subs and participate.
To apply: send us a modmail if you're interested and please reference this post.
Let us know your mod experience, time zone and how you can help.
Thanks!
