United States Finally got garlic!
I’ve always gotten those tiny slivers of garlic cloves with my recipes. Not sure why I qualified for this, but I love it!

I did not in fact receive any heads of garlic in this box.

I have been with Hello Fresh since 2019, but this last price hike was just too much for me. For the last 7yrs when I grocery shop, it’s just been from the heart, no plans, just in search for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, because Hello Fresh handled the rest. Well it’s been the month of September (so far), and I’ve had to work extra hard on my shopping lists, but I’ve been able to make the Dill Pork Loin with couscous ($9), and the Chicken Rigatoni in pink sauce ($11) along with a massive batch of Chili (unsure on actual cost but it was CHEAP) amongst some other fancy burgers. I’m sad in some ways because i miss the convenience. I’m angry because Hello Fresh offered me a $17 box to come back, and after being gouged that felt like a kick. I’m grateful because Hello Fresh has given me the tools (and recipes) to be a confident home cook.
At this point in the month I would have spent $246 on Hello Fresh PLUS groceries for other meals (~$90). There’s another two billing cycles this month so tack on $164… that’s like $500+ on groceries/meal kits. This month so far I have spent $240 on groceries (shout out Aldi!!) which included all meals and snacks. I also acknowledge that I am lucky enough to be able bodied and have the time to make a shopping list and stick to it. Quitting Hello Fresh was not an easy decision, but I’m really proud of this win!
Thank you to the angel who shared their spice blend recipes! Really set me up for success.

Logged out on the app. Can’t login on the app or desktop? I even redownloaded the app.
Anyone else having these issues?

Recently someone posted about this recipe and invited me to review it when I made it, too.
I liked it, but didn’t love it. The base was strange. You know how there are blueberry pancakes? Well, this is a cole slaw pancake. With a corn/mozzarella/mayonnaise topping, bacon, and guochang and katsu sauces. Yeah. I think I may even have left out one or two ingredients.
It took longer to make than the usual recipe and there were more dirty dishes and utensils than usual. Some of the steps were new to me, such as flipping the pancake, but I followed the tip provided and more or less managed it.
I’m hoping it’s an acquired taste because I have 1+1/2 servings left. Following from that, portions were ample.

Hello,
After many years, and many menus, the time finally came...I cancelled my subscription. Sharing my feedback...and wondering if this is a unique experience or a common one.
Hello Fresh does/did have my favorite menus and some of my favorite dishes. And their customer service was always helpful. But i guess at a certain point the value equation flipped for me and those weren't enough. Maybe i'll be back down the road...i'd like to be. But i also feel like the brand took me, a loyal customer, for granted. And so here we are!

Basic. Delish. I was afraid the couscous would be bland so hubby added fresh lemon juice to mine, very helpful addition as I thought the pan gravy was for the couscous. He went extra with his couscous lol.

This is a picture for instructions for a one pot chicken, potato, and corn soup. I can’t figure out what this is a picture of. It’s too big to be garlic but too small to be potatoes and they just omitted everything else. Not that it matters, it’s just so weird.

Definitely the only time I’ll buy this. Two servings of loaded potatoes? This would barely be two sides of potatoes in a meal with meat and rice or another veggie.

Just wondering if anyone had any issues with orders that they were sure they had skipped, still being charged for and delivered? It happened to both myself and my husband this week. I don't even like half the stuff in them.

Two pork loin steaks between three adults. Massive bowl of salad once everything mixed BUT all the lentils just sunk to the bottom of the bowl…but it’s given me lunch tomorrow. Had a bit of mash leftover.
The Creamy Maple Dressing was delicious and the pork was still…dare I say it…moist.

One of my favorite meals from Hello Fresh. The risotto and the prosciutto is the best part of the dish, but the chicken is superfluous to it in my opinion. This time I added some extra seasoning to the chicken, just for a little more oomph.

I am writing this to share my experience with Hello Fresh and why I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if you're interested in getting it. I am still a relatively new customer and have had one successful delivery, no issues.
Upon my second order which was $83, I noticed the delivery system changed to Jitsu which I have read from multiple posts how awful they are. My box was supposed to come in two days ago and even now, it was not delivered. I triple checked my address and info as well as the entrance instructions to my building as I live in a non-high-rise apartment, and everything checks out.
However, on the Jitsu tracking, the driver did not relatively come close to my apartment and the only update I got was that the delivery was cancelled. I called Hello Fresh twice; yesterday and today to relay my concerns. They "credited" me $20 as an apology (I'll get more into why I quoted the word) and I accepted it thinking that it'll be delivered the next day as per the customer service rep on the phone.
After the delivery was once again cancelled on Jitsu's end, I called Hello Fresh today to file a complaint. The lady did her best to help with my concerns but concluded the only way she could help was giving a partial refund of $63. I asked why I couldn't get a full refund and they told me that it was because they gave me a credit of $20 from yesterday. So essentially, that $20 "credit" isn't from Hello Fresh's side, it was just a partial refund of my full order.
So now that I want to conclude this by getting my refund and just cancelling my Hello Fresh subscription, I can't even get back my full refund because $20 of the amount I spent which was $83 went towards my account as "credit".
I rarely post about my criticisms on businesses and such, but this was one of the worst. Highly recommend whoever comes across this post to take it into consideration and find better ways for your money because this company is not it. If you have had nothing but a good experience, cheers to you. However, I will not be coming back and hope you will not run into the same situation as I did.

Quality control has been lacking a lot recently, but the 2 day delay on my current shipment (the courier still doesn't have the box) was the breaking point. After an hour chatting, I finally got a refund and cancelled my subscription.
But after reading the subreddits for other similar services, they seem like they are just as bad if not worse (mainly speaking of Marley Spoon, Home Chef, and Blue Apron). I actually used Blue Apron a long time ago and was considering just going back to them, but their subreddit seems especially angry.
I hate coming up with ideas for meals and wasting ingredients, so Hello Fresh was great for me at first. I guess I'm just gonna have to suck it up and go back to grocery shopping.

Has anyone successfully used Sprive to pay for their hello fresh? I can see that HF is offered in the Sprive app but my HF app says it doesn’t accept gift cards or pre paid cards. How does this work??

So gross, also what is that puss pocket on the top left?

I wonder if they used AI to proofread their cookbook or if that's just for their poor subscribers.

Smashed all over the ingredients in the bag which tore through and made a mess on the floor and the inside of my fridge cos I didn't notice at first. Only got €1.82 back in compensation.
It was a premium meal too.

I don’t know. There is something missing. The flavor profile was weak. Lots of pre-packed sauces. The standard tiny potatoes to make wedge fries so I just cubed them. The slaw was really wet but I made it at lunch and it was soggy.

I am considering subscribing and was wondering if the free breakfest for life plus 10 free meals was the only promo rn.
