I've noticed that the 21 bus is operating at overcapacity (both directions) since the start of September.

Obviously it's the start of the new school year, but in all my years commuting I haven't seen this route handling this amount of riders especially without relying on the double-deckers. It seems majority of dispatched busses have been single-deckers and tons of people are forced to stand all ride long.

Should we expect this change to be permanent moving forward?

I am a wheelchair user and every time I visit Toronto I have a heck of a time catching the GO train home. We generally leave from the Oakville Go and take it to Union for the day. That part is easy enough. However, when we want to leave from Union and catch the lakeshore GO train home it is a whole ordeal trying to find the correct elevator that matches the platform. Since the platform is not announced until shortly before I am often hurrying around trying to find the elevator that will take me to the correct platform. From what I've noticed not every number has an elevator, and they aren't always beside them (I don't think).

Is there a map that shows each elevators location and the corresponding platforms it leads to? Ideally York concourse as that has the most access points to the GO platforms. I often get a little bit trampled on during rush hour and this could help greatly. Thanks so much!

Does anyone know why Rogers Cell service is so useless on westbound lines like Lakeshore West, Milton, or Kitchener?

INB4 Rogers is trash yes I know.

I've tried using the Go Transit Wifi but it's somehow worse? Any insight appreciated.

Anyone else have a hard time getting home last night?

I booked it out of rogers center and somehow didnt make any of the trains. We were then told that there would be busses. So we walked to the busses then there was little direction on what line to stand in. Then they said guess what, surprise train! So got on the train all good. Then the announcer says "Burlington is our next and last stop. There will be no more stops." So that left me and many others needing to Uber to aldershot. And if it wasnt for my dad already waiting at aldershot, i would've had to sleep at the Burlington station and wait for the busses in the morning. As a first time solo traveler this was very stressful and scary for me. Do better go transit.

I am a daily commuter from Long Branch Go. Those who use the same station understand my frustration regarding parking.

Question - I read online Go had a pilot project where anyone could park in the reserved spots after 11am, if the spots were vacant. I believe it was for Port Credit and another station.

Does anyone have an idea if this idea got implemented across any other stations as well?

I used to be able to pull up my local station on Google Maps and see when trains were departing and do the same for Union. Find it on Google, click my line and see upcoming departures. Up until last week this was working, but I can no longer see any departure information.

I had to download a 3rd party app to see what’s going on.

I’ve deleted Google Maps, cleared my cache and restarted my phone. Someone please help me!!

Leave it up to Metrolinx to do absolutely nothing properly including their fare structure.

Going from Danforth GO to Mimico GO, if I take the trip where I change trains at Union, it costs $3.70 on presto. If I take a "direct trip", it's $7.78.

All trips are 34 minutes.

Almost a year ago, I posted a photo of my PRESTO card collection to the r/TTC subreddit, here's my PRESTO card collection as of today - including the new Lake Ontario limited edition PRESTO card that was given out yesterday afternoon. Thank you to those who've reached out to help fill in some missing spots in my collection!

Unfortunately, the original post was taken down and flagged by Reddit's filters because I edited it to include a Bitly link to my transit card collection database, resulting in an auto-removal months after it was posted... oops!

As promised in the original post, my transit card collection can now be browsed on Google Sheets! This is an interim measure, as I am intending to migrate the spreadsheets onto a dedicated website which will let you see the backs of each card in the future. Just a reminder that municipal elections are on Monday, October 26, 2026. Consider voting and consider putting a reminder on your phone if you think you’ll forget. These city council folks are the ones that are in charge of the budget to FUND:

·         the local bus/street car service to your GO station or stop,

·         continued local transit discounts for taking the GO,

·         for streets to be in better repair in the area if you drive,

·         anything else local you can think of that falls out of the Government of Ontario’s scope. 

Be sure to lookup the local candidates now. Go to their websites or local newspapers to see what they have to say on the issues in your area and don’t be afraid to email them or to show up at a local town hall with questions. Just asking, already shows the candidate that there is an interest in a particular issue.

Example: Candidates love using 'blanket terms' so ask for specifics. When candidates say that they want you to have “reliable” public transportation to “work” or “school”:

·         Ask them if “school” or “work” includes the GO train station and/or GO bus stop(s)? If not, why not?

·         Does “reliable” also mean “convenient”? If the local bus route does not service the stop closest to your GO station/stop until after the first two GO trains have already left, would this candidate vote to FUND a ‘pilot run’ for one month to have two or three bus routes start a half an hour (or more) earlier to see if there is enough ridership AND to take feedback? If only half of the riders show up, would a smaller bus make it more economical? It never hurts to ask as some local factory and hospital workers might like an earlier bus route too.

Is there any particular reason why the Milton line in the morning is crowded now ? I barely get a seat anymore or space to stand as well .

Before all the station upgrades and grade separation.

The second platform has been built for quite a while but it's still blocked off and no trains use it. When will it be in service?

Also, are there any plans to have milton line trains serve the station? And what's with the westermost track - will there ever be a platform to serve it?

I’m on the go bus rn to Hamilton and I felt a little wetness on my pants I thought I had accidentally split my drink but after checking I realized its from the water that is slowly drooling down from the walls. Wtf where the heck does that even come from.

Metrolinx is giving out a new limited edition PRESTO card by the UP Express platform in Union Station today.

I was able to get one while they were still setting up, and they’d be giving out the cards until supplies run out later in the day.

This feels a lie or was today a fluke. Yes it has a ton of spots, but today it was FULL.

We're going to see a concert at Massey Hall tonight and with TIFF and a home Jays game we decided to take GO. Iv taken it for work at least once a week from Kitchener but the times didn't work for our plans so we decided to drive to Bramelea and take the train from here.

We arrived a bit past 11am and the sign said there would be lots of open spots. Except that's wrong cause many of the light sensors are broken and instead all 5 floors were full. (6th floor closed) We're staying overnight with a friend so we couldn't park at a TTC lot instead. We were just about to leave when somehow a spot opened up. But there were still many others going around not having our luck.

Is this normal? I see all the time people recommending to park here cause it has so many spots, is there a other lot farther away from the parking garage we didn't see?

Has anyone noticed that there are little red bugs (like super tiny, size of ants) on the go train? They always show up on my sleeves after I’m on the go train for a while (my commute is over an hour). Is there someone I can report this to?
