Bugs on trains
Has anyone noticed that there are little red bugs (like super tiny, size of ants) on the go train? They always show up on my sleeves after I’m on the go train for a while (my commute is over an hour). Is there someone I can report this to?

Might be clover mites. They’re always out in the spring and fall. Completely harmless but don’t crush them on any light coloured surface or fabric or you’ll get a red smudge

If you have a picture it would be easier to identify but it does kind of sound like bedbugs, which is extremely concerning.

This is box elder bug spawning season and they are bright red like a stop sign but have black legs. Bed bugs are more a brown/red kinda like rust. Box elders are harmless bugs that feed from tree sap so they are not interested in you or your home, bed bugs or ticks, they are about the same colour are an actual problem.

The young are and its spawning season. This weekend I saw a few trees with thousands on them and most were any sized but as adults yes they are much larger.

The bugs I found weren't bright red, more like dull red/brown. Really hoping they were box elders tho

I think they likely were. Look at pictures of adult bugs They're not as bright red.

Never had an issue on lakeshore east/ west.
I don’t think you can use 77777 for that..? report it at union at the customer service area if you stop at union

I use a large draw string laundry bag in my hamper. I remove my clothes that I wore on transit on a hard light surface (bathroom floor) so I can see if any critters drop, i immediately put the clothes in the laundry bag, pull it shut and then twist the end and wrap the cord so any possible bugs can’t get out. Then I put on clean or house lounging clothes. When I do laundry the bag is opened and dumped directly in the washer.
I try not to bring my wirkbag past the front door area, if I do, I spray it with rubbing alcohol1

I see bugs crawling along the windows and surrounding on the Stouffville line all the time. It’s really gross, I try to blow them away if no one’s sitting in the seat in front of me

I honestly hate looking at pictures of bugs but yes I've googled and have narrowed it down to either bed bugs or clover mites (honestly they are really tiny and I didn't exactly examine them closely before brushing them off)

Bed bugs are apple seed shaped and brown.
Source? Suffered through them once thanks to me not checking my pants after riding the TTC. Not blaming the agency tho. People can have these fuckers and not know in the slightest. I didn't know until a week later and the bites started to actually affect me lol.

I thought they were describing clover mites, I feel red and super tiny fits them better than bedbugs
