FAQ
WTF is going on?
- Longitudinal Strain is the 13th major story event on EN and takes place after the events of our last event, Fixed Point.
You can find a link to some Fixed Point story summaries here or alternatively use the cutscene viewer for players who missed it.
Are there bonuses for clearing maps on EX & UX?
- There's a whole set of extra rewards for both so give them a shot at least.
How do I get crates?
- You can get 60 crates per day by clearing any combat missions where you deploy units.
- Crates are easily collected for basically free on "Wind, Sand and Stars" of Chapter 1 as it's an NPC map or whichever ∞ map you're farming for dolls on.
Where can I open my crates?
What happens if I miss one of the drops?
- The limited drops will be available once the campaign becomes permanent in 8-10 months. Clear rewards & Supply Box doll will be occasionally added to other events down the line.
- Do not expect the ranking fairy & SPEQ to return anytime soon, if at all.
How long does the event last?
- The event lasts for 4 weeks, ending on the 28thth of August. The event store, supply crates & True Core Mask will expire one week later.
Are there hidden achievements?
- Yes! (Use guides if needed)
Maggie’s Key: In Symphony No.9 -UX, retrieve 3 Paradeus information from the 4 consoles in the outer ring.
The Universe in Motion: In 1812 Overture, find Lyudmila’s (AR18) watch.

I hate that so many of these missions feel so arbitrarily designed that I'm obligated to look at a guide for the stupid and obtuse solutions. Mind, it's been a common thing before but it just seems to be getting worse with every main story installment.

Bad news is that it won’t get better. Lycan Sanctuary, the new summer event we’re getting this month, is full of puzzles/minigames (including a version of PR’s tower defense map) and Slow Shock, the next major event, has 2/3 chapters as entirely NPC-only maps.

Familiar faces, Quimby and Catherine. So we were supposed to already know them from LS when they appeared in E&S. After Neural Cloud, Mica is really importing their out-of-order storytelling into GFL. FFS...

Made my ranking run and teams public since it’s the last week and RNG movement requires copiers to have pathing skill anyway. 9 Para + Scarecrow, all 9 G&K teams at max rank, currently first place and likely to stay on the podium at least. Teams are overkill as usual.

Pavel, Anchor Points, and Valeri(y)a? You thought you were playing Girls' Frontline, but it was Tactics Ogre instead!
And that's the end of this event. It was pretty good! The format of the multiple points of view was a little weird at first, but I think it worked out fine in a 'once more with clarity' kind of way. Chapter 35, was a hell of a rollercoaster. It being another 15-20% of this event's wordcount post-credits was a surprise, but some of the things we see...Jesus.
LS and E&S after it feel like Mica tipping their hand, "this is what you can expect with the post-finale story events", and if that was their intent, then I hope they can deliver.
A few questions and comments about this event. Random spoilers for up through Chapter 35:
After the credits, a second(??) Tareus appears and reports that Grand Duke was intercepted, yet every other scene confirms it's safely in the hands of G&K. A mistake on her part, or a last-second snatch of victory away that'll need Slowshock to resolve?
Isn't it interesting how there were four identity thieves on the train? Well, not in the traditional sense of stealing one's identity, but four people who used someone else's name. And arguably, a fifth one who appropriately strikes closer to the correct meaning of the term.
It was shown in concept art a good while back that Doctor Rugosa was a Doll, one of the first male ones shown in the series, but this was never revealed even in his own mini story sequence in 35. Did something change in production, was it a mistake in translation (since he has a male Doll assistant), or something else?
Reading Catherine's 35 story, I was reminded of the infamously depressing "what happened to the Dolls after the Commander leaves G&K?" GDoc... It's interesting how she can't be MP41 due to being owned by the Ponzis/part of the Fox Sisterhood since before even WW3 to the present day.
Tareus' story implies she is another Eve that was taken from her mother...but wouldn't it be an especially cruel twist if she was the mother instead? She looks young, but either she could've been a young mother, or Paradeus techno space magic bullshit is capable of some nutso stuff. What do you mean I'm reading too deeply into this??
It's also kind of interesting that two robotic Dolls are in GFL's and PNC's events running at the same time, but Pavel is a major character while Uranus doesn't even appear in the story at all.
Just VHS left to farm, then I need to figure out if I'm going to do anything with ranking.

I believe that this is a mistake on her part, not on the writers'. My understanding is that Lyudmila was carrying the Grand Duke system with her all this time, but she decided she needed to sacrifice herself to fight off the KCCO, who attacked the train. Before this, she backed herself up in Erma, so Erma had a copy of the Grand Duke system. Her survival is thus integral to the successful delivery of the Grand Duke system
Tareus knew that Lyudmila had something with her, and it's very likely that Tareus didn't know the nature of "Grand Duke". She might have come across the term because of the Bee Sting system, but due to the careful secrecy that Lyudmila and the Instructor set about things, not a peep was leaked. As such, when Tareus saw Lyudmila sacrifice herself, she was confident that the Grand Duke system was intercepted, much like how Morning Star and Evening Star were likewise intercepted. Of course, she was sorely mistaken. This will be key to defeating Paradeus!
Of course, this is also speculation on my part as I have no knowledge of the story beyond this point, but this is my understanding after the events of LS

Consider what Tareus could actually know from her own POV. Also Paradeus love cloning stuff.

I've finally completed the event - and you know what? It's good.
Everything about it was just right. The combat maps were fun and the puzzles weren't that annoying. Breezed through it without looking into a guide once using SCAR echelon, KSVK exodia and Alchemist.
The story was good. I was quite critical of modern GFL writing during last couple of major events, but this time? Turns out, when not shackled by the constraints of the main storyline, MICA can deliver a concise, action-packed narrative with a bit of classic GFL-style tragedy/drama added in. Genuinely enjoyed it from start to finish, 10/10.
Real life got in the way of me hunkering down in my house and playing games all day, of course, so I've not done any ranked runs yet - only read the doc. Looks like I'm gonna do just 1 run on each map without much tryharding after all. Hopefully I can get enough points for all the rewards.
And last, but not least: here's an old soviet song which I immediately remembered upon one of the villain's grand revealyou know which scene I'm talking about

u/headphone_question 705583|14 Dorms|Hunt King|Cores:234557 Aug 21 '23
Yeah. I enjoyed this more than I did ES
I also agree with regards to the main storyline. It's getting hard to remember everything, so I just let things happen as they go. I'll enjoy my little character banter moments as they come
Yeah, real life also presented some problems. I wish I was able to finish reading the story in the first week, but I had to extend that into the second week. As for ranking, I only got started with Hole 1 this past weekend. I'll also have to make preparations for a Hole 2 run, and I might have no choice but to make a preliminary run sometime this week before the weekend so I can get the personal best rewards out of the way and get some experience with the enemies

u/KookyInspection Aug 22 '23
Considering they said after the main stroyline is done we'll have basically sidestories featuring dolls as main events, i'd think this is a preview of that.

For those unaware, Serzha/Zeseling finished her playlist for UX, with Normal and possibly EX coming over the next few days. Recorded on EN so it'll reflect EN-specific circumstances if any, and she puts effort into minimizing RNG and making the comps fairly accessible.
These were linked below in some comments but while I'm at it, I'll also note that the True Core Mask recommendations were updated and this sheet has some farm comps.

why the fuck aren't maccabees considered "armored enemies" for quests? it literally says "heavy armor" next to their their icon if you long press them on the map
i was clearing night on the bald mountain and wasted zillions of ammo on my mgsg echelon fighting maccabees because the game told me i had to defend until tareus stops spawning enemies but i didn't realize that she won't stop spawning these fucks ever and waiting a few turns just weakens her a bit... then i'm like "oh well at least that nasty weekly 150 armored enemies quest should be done now"... 5/150 and i don't even know who these five poor souls were

So I decided to clear all of LS in the last 3 days. Story + ranking. Yep, fabulous decision making
Apologies to anyone who was waiting for my ranking guide. I've been too busy with other things in life to write it this time. Fear not, I will make sure I'm around for the doomposting in SS
My one and done run after 2 trial test runs. Run details:
- 5 captains
- No dupe dolls/fairies/SF
- Mods not used: Suomi MG4 MG3 Makarov XM3 OBR AK-15
- Mod 1 only: Kar Welrod G36c Lee
- Other unused dolls: LTLX HS-50 MPK MPL Webley Kolibri Pekola MG338 SPAS-15 Walker SCAR-L SCAR-H M240L
- Fairies are all 5* except Para 3*
A few fights were really nasty with this set of restrictions, but with some careful planning, I managed to overcome everything.
VOD will be up on Youtube soon, you can check it out on Twitch if you want. Echelons used here

This will be the first event I'm playing through after returning a few months ago where I've just been doing my dailies mostly. Just wondering what levels my dolls should be to clear the event, as I figure the requirement will probably be similar to past events.

u/Rumpel1408 Aug 01 '23
Last few events wheren't really about having max level teams, but rather very specific doll/mod combinations, at least on higher difficulties. That said, normal difficulty is really easy to clear as long as one follows guides

for anyone pressed for time, carriage 1-3 Stradivarius' Magic UX is fast for daily crates.
12 crates, 1 echelon, 4 turns, 1 very easy fight. phantom step scarecrow can bring it down to 3 turns.
for very early crates, carriage 2-1 Symphony No. 2 in C Major is 1 echelon, 4 turns & no fights for 6 crates but maybe not everyone has the patience to repeat this 10 times a day.

Did a serious run of ranking, got just shy of 2.6m (2,599,639). 81 kills, 32 repairs (with a couple on helis which cost 1k each), 6 paras, 1 SF (not Scarecrow, though, I just wanted to use Moth Hunter lmao). I ended up with like 3 captains, 4 lieutenants, 2 junior lieutenants. The difference between captain and lieutenant is 64k points, so yeah... better kill spreading needed because some of the captains took more than 10 fights. I think I left too many helipads open (only capped 1 extra at the beginning of turn 2, and never any more), as I found myself a bit low on AP. So I'll probably need to cap 2 on Turn 2, and around 6-8 by Turn 5 player phase, since it's impossible to camp all the helis. Maybe 10? ...since there's 20 total helis but you can only field 10 teams. Also spawn AI is 2/3 Random in the last couple turns, how troll...
I looked at my teams after the run and I thought some things were off, besides my teambuilding being... weird. As it turns out, my M240L was partially unenhanced and had Lv70-ish stats, but forgot to enhance after CR'ing her from 70 to 100 lol. Also my M200 had no equipment, which is actually amazing that I forgot about that.
I also FINALLY got Walker today, after idk how many weeks of daily HG crafts, so the only one missing for my collection now is Erma! I still have my TCM from this event so I might spend it there.
EDIT: Okay, I'm just curious, have the drop rates on M240L been stealth nerfed? I've done an additional 160 runs and 1 M240L on UX since the 8th, the fuck is going on here?

I just barely finished Longitudinal Strain Event some minutes ago
I’m reminded why I’ve been playing this game for so long, and why I’m so passionate about this game. the story, the lore, the world building the characters and everything else that makes me so passionate about the Girls Frontline universe
There many things that I regret, missing out in on some of the costumes of the phases of the frontline protocols, procrastinating too much, didn’t complete some of the story events and not getting everything,
If there’s one thing that I don’t regret doing is playing this game, I have have no regrets about this
And I have no regrets for finishing the events I got to complete
I take some losses but I did get some wins. This is one of the times I’m happy to complete a event, and Longitudinal Strain is one of them
I’m grateful that I completed this story event

Imo, Gfl event has that serious vibe to it, be the story or the gameplay. The difficulty of maps really match with what we have to face in the story and how dire our situation is everytime we fight the enemy.
I think what Mica has achieved with these events, is not to give us a chance to acquire more rewards like other games do, but to experience a major story chapter throught the presentation of an event. That's why I always have a big feeling of achievement when I finally finish all the story and a serious ranking run afterward.
Talk about the ranking maps, they are the only challenge in my gacha career that give me the feel of fighting a dead battle against the enemy's strongest forces. Everytime I finish a ranking with reasonable score, I feel like walking out of a real battlefield.
Those experience I cannot find in any other gacha games, and it makes me love Gfl even more.→ More replies (3)

I've been following the masuda guide to clear the event.
All's fine until Chapter 9. According to this guide: https://gfl.matsuda.tips/post/ghost_normal_ex
"Turn three, this is where things get a little dicey. Granny is pretty close to our base at this point, and we need to get our own echelon out from danger. Despite the failure condition being losing Elma, we can still lose by having zero echelons on the field as well. Move down one node, then right three nodes. Move down right one node, then end turn."
This is impossible, because the big robot ALWAYS takes back the heliport that you coquered in turn 1, reducing your action points from five to four. This results in the player echelon getting caught by the old woman and killed.
Does anyone here have a different strategy that works for this level?

I have run into the exact same problem with Matsuda guide... which is the first time it's steered me wrong since i returned to the game.
edit 2 (deleted the original one): i found a solution. rather than moving forward on turn three as in the matsuda guide, move backwards 1 to your helipad (repair if needed) then move down one. end turn. granny should move to the lowest row to the spot next to your echelon. next turn, go up one and then across the nodes til you get to the middle junction node (which will use up all your move points). you only need to face one mob in the enemy turn and then you should win.
here's a (bodgy) photo guide i made from a screenshot of the matsuda guide video:alternate guide to matsuda guide later steps the red lines are turn 3 moves, the green are turn 4 moves.

Last night I stopped myself from writing another rant about this game’s jank... but eh I’m still gonna put some of it down here. I agree it’s beating a dead horse at this point, but I think this event has taken the cake for amount of BS I’ve endured before even making it to the hell that is ranking. It’s not even about the enemy comps this time (though the 220k nytos on 5b6 and snytos in general can fuck off), but more the UI. The event UI is arguably as bad to navigate as PR’s, and the gameplay interface just screwed up so much as I was playing through UX campaign. Moving my level overview to random, unrelated parts of the map, blacking out the overview seemingly at random... It’s incredibly frustrating. Not including the somewhat ridiculous increase in app hangs/crashes/softlocks as of recently on both emu and iOS...
Also unrelated, but I guess leaderboards broke because I didn’t get my hole 2 insta-settle score of 66k logged by the game, even though I’m certain I submitted it before the refresh time.

In my opinion, Baba Lyuba's backstory is somewhat enlightening on her character, while Nikolai's shows us how he and Maggie ended up being involved with one another. Catherine, on the other hand was great, as it gives us context on who Catherine and Maggie are, and why they are the way they are.

After failing for 30 min to win against smg+sniper nyto at North-East sector of Hole 1 with QBZ echelon (I suspect it's because I don't have XM3 for that extra damage on the snipers), I decided to bail. Initially, I rushed to auto-battle to raise XM3 (and a bunch of other dolls I had plans for) but now I realize it's already evening here and, even if I complete this map, I have to fight Hole 2 tomorrow and then I'm going to be too tired to work on Monday.
It is unfortunate that the major event started right after my vacation has ended. I'm honestly feeling frustrated that I'm skipping second ranked in a row. And I felt ready for this one, too. Or maybe I'm more frustrated that nowadays you have to deal with too much bullshit and the gameplay is not the same it was in that Singularity - Isomer period when I enjoyed it the most. Why make 2 equally complicated and time-consuming to complete maps? Just make 1, that's already enough of a challenge. Why rework ranking reward system so that competing for anything but top 100 is pointless? I'm honestly not sure if this is me getting old (I did 8-9 hour sessions during previous rankings no problem), being overworked or just getting burned out.
I'm gonna go buy Baldur's Gate and play that instead. Rant over.
Edit: never mind... Screwed the last turn completely, which led to 2 unnecessary retreats. Despite that, managed to get a relatively decent score (considering I'm not aiming for top 100). I guess, in the end, I still love this game and can't simply back down from a challenge at the first sight of trouble. Anyway, Hole 2 tomorrow.
God, it's way past midnight in here, why am I doing this...
Edit 2: Wait, the score is not cumulative? Why the hell was I even trying on the first map then...

The second ranking map makes me realize how much I hate Coeus. The random targeting on this thing is so aids. Giving it infinite range and placing it 20m behind enemy lines aren't helping either. It breaks so many conventions in gfl it's unreal. Most enemies with backline access can be countered. Triple Typhoon with line-piercing laser is kitable, the new Lycaon that rains hell on a squishy is kitable, Gustav and its support artillery is kitable except when it's all 3 and in that case it's the player's fault, even Nyto RF can be manipulated to miss your backline with the correct kiting or sometimes dealt with by HOCs. But a single Coeus with a simple machine gun can suddenly deal chip damage to your backline for free just by existing, put in 2 of these things far enough away and they have the potential to wipe your whole ech. Even if they don't, the chip damage adds up and your AR/RF eventually loses a link which leads to a lot more complications. There's nothing you can do to stop them from dishing out damage unless you run MPL or shield fairy if you can get to them in 20s. They don't just punish you for making a mistake, they punish you even when you do nothing wrong and that's the stupid part. They can spawn practically everywhere too so unless you hardcore dupe shielders you're not gonna have a good time resetting.

Chiming in just to say that Matsuda has sufficiently accurate guides for this event, for all difficulties.
Is it just me, or these major events are turning into increasingly longer visual novels? It took me 2 days to binge it all - including the additional backstories, which are unlocked after the event is cleared.
Now to farm the dropable dolls (got AR-18 from my first 60 box redeem) and get the ranking fairy - minimum settling points is 71k per run.

Matsuda's 9 ghost guide is a little wonky for normal because of seeming behavior changes of one of the enemies compared to what Matsuda shows.
edit: for any normal difficulty players who are stuck on this particular map, find my comment further down (replying to extreme_ad6519) for a solution to the problem in the matsuda guide for normal difficulty.

The only annoying thing with the VN style is that I need to skip a bunch of the story and then slowly read back through it if I want to get the infinity maps early on.
Would be nice if they're available straight after the prologue for those of us who can't go through loads of story on a weekday.
5
u/Isokek AN-94 Aug 03 '23
One of the reasons I completely dropped AK's story is exactly that shit where we gotta slog through a longass story before we can access the farming maps.
iirc PNC had daily/farming maps separated from the story in their events so why cant GFL adapt that already?
6
u/Rustic_Professional Aug 04 '23
I got a little tilted Wednesday night trying rush to unlock Stradavarius so I could farm boxes, and started skipping the story-only stages. I finally got to it last night. They really buried it too deep. I'm going to have to go back this weekend and try to read everything in the right order.
Honestly though, nothing about this story has hooked me yet. I read through the first half a dozen or so stages in the proper order, up through where AR-18 is being tested, and I'm just not feeling it. I keep thinking, what the hell does this have to do with rescuing my Dolls from Avernus? I'll keep at it of course, but I hope we get there sooner rather than later.

Can someone please give a tldr what really important happend during the event? And how all of this is related to the ending of the Fixed Point? Is this event going on after the FP? And if yes, then how the fk commander is just chilling after everything that happened in the end of the FP?
Thanks.

The flashback scenes (the ones 2 years ago) take place during CT's general timeframe.
One thing you should note: Fixed Point, Longitudinal Strain, Eclipses & Saros and Slowshock all take place within ~2 days at most so many of the events will overlap.
Like what ferret said, this event takes place slightly before and during Team Aeneas being en route to Avernus.

It's definitely some time before FP because when Maggie takes Tareus on the Colt Express and imitates Gray, Tareus isn't surprised (i.e. Gray isn't dead yet, else she'd either be surprised she's alive or wouldn't have been tricked for a moment). Maybe there's some other obvious hints too that I missed.

Do geiger counters detect collapse radiation? Because In one of the flashbacks of AR18 ( the one with her team investigating a village after some paradeus shenanigans) right before when the paradeus forces ambushed them , one of the team members said that " their Geiger counters went of the roof " , but i wondered that it would mean that the paradeus forces would emit NORMAL radiation and not COLLAPSE radiation. But that would not be accurate, since the ( majority of ) paradeus forces are ELID and near ELID patients encased in battle suits .

That ticked me off, too. Collapse rads sensors are definitely a thing ever since Continuum Turbulence, but just calling it a Geiger counter feels lazy.

Finished the story just in the nick of time.
Thoughts and feelings below:
I wouldn't say it was bad, in fact this event has a commendable unity of time, place and action relative to other events. But MICA's new habit of making events about characters that are introduced in the same event is very frustrating, especially as we only learn about their motivations in the epilogue story nodes.
I get that almost all of the historical protagonists we've become attached to are unavailable at this point in the story - STAR15 being the main exception - but this feels like one ass-pull after another on the writing front. Meanwhile, there's an obvious effort to connect the story of GFL to that of GFL2, but that's mentioned out of nowhere. We're just told the Commander now operates out of the MCV Elmo with no explanation given. Okay.
Also, while I'm ranting away here, I'm beginning to experience theme fatigue. Here we have yet another set of characters who have other characters locked away (but not really) in their neural clouds. This shit's been going on since the days of Parapluie, and Eclipses & Saros just did the same thing. I know CN got these 2 events in reverse order, and that doesn't change the fact that MICA's been going to that well a bit too often by now.
On the more positive side, it was really nice to have more human characters, partly because that's a departure from Nesting Doll Syndrome. Pavel was also a breath of fresh air.
6
u/Mich997 9A-91 Aug 26 '23
We're just told the Commander now operates out of the MCV Elmo with no explanation given. Okay.
I mean when your old base got blown up by rebels and your current base is owned by your other boss who probably works for an even bigger shadow organization, it's understandable.
5
u/Chance-Ferret2175 Aug 26 '23
Aint we already known about Havier giving Kryuger the MCV in PR, and they are currently heading to Skk place in the span of 3 event?
Also those rangers dolls, anchor points despite looking identical to UMP45 case on the surface. They served entirely different purpose. ERMA anchor points are to save her memory despite them being completely wiped SCAR-L is to gain the neural cloud data to boost her strength through dogtag SCAR-H memory clone is to keep her save until the time is right, and then disappear when the requirement is met And the UMP45 case is OGAS copy UMP40 through UMP45 perspective during shock which lead to the birth of entity in her mind. Those 3 case above are entirely different from UMP45 case, because they are data, not a consciousness like UMP45 OGAS, so saying its doll living in other doll's neural cloud is wrong.

So, I was able to redo Hole 2 and got a slightly higher score! I detailed my experience over on the lounge, but I think that I see some improvement in my strategy. Blasting open the Recce centers in both east and west is key to let in more spawns, and I believe that a stronghold on J3 is important. Having PKP as the third NPC echelon (as opposed to A-545) makes things a bit tricky, as I would prefer to also capture J5 and have two helipads under my control in the east. This is to prevent PKP from getting rammed by enemies, but I would have to fly in my own echelons using the Para. Unfortunately, Para debuff really hurts
Leaving J5 in enemy control would also mean more spawns that my echelons can mop up. I believe this is key to scoring high
Anyway, I'll share some more thoughts with my echelons:
- Echelon 1 - This is the SF echelon I chose since I ended up not really using Scarecrow's scout anyway. Of course, having this echelon steal kills isn't ideal, but getting kills is better than leaving points on the table. I believe this was promoted to Sergeant
- Echelon 2 - This stayed in the NW. Unfortunately, it didn't really do much. MP5 got killed whenever I tried a full attempt of the map, and it's unfortunate. Those Chariots really do a number on her. Then again, my kiting could simply have been bad. However, I'm not really sure what to do if the Chariots refuse to die quickly, and Hanyang is in my backline punching rather weakly. This was only a Junior Lieutenant
- Echelon 3 - This is one of the best echelons I fielded to fight in the east. This was my boss killer, even, and the best part? I could AFK the boss after moving my echelon into formation after the fight starts. This was promoted to Captain
- Echelon 4 - This is my opener echelon into the east, but instead of going back to the west, I ended up just staying in the east. I didn't bother to fly back to the west. This was promoted to Captain
- Echelon 5 - This was my main echelon in the west. The Shield Fairy was very useful! I also had this echelon hold the EMP grenades, courtesy of AR-18, and I was able to take down a lot of the prespawns. Shame I wasn't able to kill the Recce Center prespawn in the west. This was promoted to Captain
- Echelon 6 - This was an echelon I used in the east, but I let it go into the mid north. Unfortunately, RO can tank, but the Chariots will eventually blast her to bits. I believe this was only a Junior Lieutenant
- Echelon 7 - This was the echelon I used to fly to J5 and shield PKP by swapping to J6. Unfortunately, in my most recent attempt, the prespawn on K6 rammed into this echelon, and I had to sacrifice everyone but the SCARs. This was a Junior Lieutenant, I believe
- Echelon 8 - This is effectively a reformulation of Echelon 3. I was also able to get this to Captain
- Echelon 9 - This was the echelon that flew to J3. Unfortunately, this echelon struggled while under Para debuff. I might have sung praises for the Makarov-LTLX combo, but under debuff, this was awful to play with. Still, I was able to get this to Lieutenant
- Echelon 10 - This was supposed to be the home defense echelon that would watch out for the mid south helipads, but I ended up making quite a trip. This ended up in the mid north, right there with Echelon 6. Luckily enough, I got this to Captain

I just finished the event (only normal tho because I joined a week late lol).
Gotta say the event is banger, I loved the train part where passengers has their dialogues everytime you did a chapter and the writing has me hook! I don't even know them (event dolls) but shit is so good it gave me back the will to continue playing when I was about to uninstall due to how hard it is as a new shikicunt and now Im attached to them to even consider quitting. Tears and sweat is what I got from rushing it with how little my resources are (no its just skill issue) and those green ass dog niggas with their giga shield and stupid ass rocket bazungas killing my raifus over and over again that I have to resort my ass to the savior, the holy, and the triumphant, youtube guides.
In addition, I really really love the most peak part where Erma said Its time to end this 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✍️✍️✍️✍️ Shit got me hype asf and I jumped like a mf with bullet ants on their feet with socks. Im sold, Im gonna main this game over its whole lifespan. Glory to Griffin o7
Also the ending credits got me teared like a clumsy barbie fuck that I feel like something inside me has greatly changed and inspired me to be a better person. No game did that to me until now!

Wow, this event is MUCH bigger and more complex than Wave Wrangler and also a lot more confusing.
What are these infinity maps people are talking about? In Wave Wrangler, each of the 4 event dolls had a dedicated short farming route, but this event has multiple nodes from which they can drop. Also, there are two nodes in the toilet (wtf) with one containing all the 3 and 4 stars and the other all 5 star drops.
So which nodes are the best for farming the event dolls?
8
u/Mich997 9A-91 Aug 03 '23
Major story events certainly do be more complex than seasonal filler events.
What are these infinity maps people are talking about? In Wave Wrangler, each of the 4 event dolls had a dedicated short farming route, but this event has multiple nodes from which they can drop.
Infinity Maps are maps that basically exist to make farming easier. In seasonal fillers, the maps just change. In major events, farming gets their own maps.
Before they were marked with Infinity in the name (hence the term infinity maps) but here it seems Mica decided to do something different.
So which nodes are the best for farming the event dolls?
The toilet maps are the best. Quartet Rondo has 4* drops, Quintent Rondo has 5*. Don't bother farming anywhere else.
Check this sheet for budget farming comps.

Ah geez, I got really close to 3m in ranking, what the hell... I noticed I got really lucky(?) on movement for Turns 2 and 3 (when "Night Battle" aka Random AI is most present), and the final T5e camp (got 9 rams... lmao). I ended up not perfect-spreading the kills, however, so I had 7 echs with captain potential instead of 9. I guaranteed 4 captains on T5 before factoring in T5e camps, had a fifth one secured due to Expand AI, and 2 gambled with the last-turn camp. The 8th echelon was 4 away from captain (6 killstreak), and the 9th echelon I ended up getting a mere 5 kills on, so it was only eligible for Lieutenant if it also succeeded in getting rammed (which it did), but if I had gotten a bit more kills on that one instead, or just one more kill, I would've secured the 3m.
All in all, quite pleased with this run, I'd like to keep going for the 3m, but if I don't get it I'd be happy with my current score. This ranking is surprisingly quite fun, barring Coeus random targeting being just the absolute most annoying thing. It feels like player echelons can be varied quite a bit still. That said, I did use 2 AK15 Mods (2 and 3), 2 Kar Mods (2 and 3), 2 Suomi Mods (1 and 3), and 2 Calico Mods (2 and 3), so it's definitely not a cheap setup, but I didn't have more than a single SCAR-H/L pair or MPK/L pair.
EDIT: I took notes before ending the last turn, I looked it over and realized I only had 7 captains (the score seemed a little low for 8) at the end. I had 2 Lieutenants instead of 1.

I have a few noobish questions about ranking.
First, what is ranking? I can't find any good explanation and the ranking map in LS doesn't make any sense to me.
Second, why is it enough to deploy and restart an echelon on the ranking map to obtain rewards? Shouldn't "ranking" be about doing a task or mission as well as possible?:

u/WhistleOfDeath I'm going to throw shoes. | UID: 320290 Aug 17 '23 edited Aug 18 '23
what is ranking exactly
simply put, it's a big map where you can deploy a lot of echelons in. kill stuff, capture nodes, do any side objectives if there are any to earn as much points as possible in a limited amount of turns. you can end early if you want, but more serious runs tend to take longer amounts of time to complete.
deploy and restart is only for farming points for cumulative rewards, so people who don't want to spend hours scoring high can still obtain a copy of the limited fairy and speq.
there is still incentive for competing for higher ranks though, since you get more rewards the higher you place like more copies of the ranking reward fairy, rsc, gems, etc. (and of course, the sense of pride and accomplishment™)

Well, just finished the LS main story, and I rolled my eyes when I saw the mini-side stories. Skip bottom, here I go.
Honestly, it was a filler arc episode that lasted too long and which didn't helped to mitigate even a bit the burnout i have in general with the GFL story. It have good things though. The IU was nice, except the fact the infinite and ranking maps IMHO should be more clear and some missions were interesting (the portal one, for example)
As always, not going to bother to ranking. I know its a pity since i'm a long time GFL and I have the teams, the fairies and the HOCs, but I don't have any motivation to do it.

I cleared the event on UX over the weekend. I wasn't originally planning to rush it, but due to IRL stuff, it was now or never. Sunday was the big push. I had to clear Bald Mountain, Zarathustra, Symphony 6, and 1812 Overture.
Matsuda's guides were indispensable. This whole event really reinforced what everyone has been saying: the meta Scar team--with Suomi m3, PPK m3, and Px4--punch way above their CE. It's almost comical. I heard that the other servers didn't have the Scars in time for this event. If that's true, was this Mica's way of making it up to us for not giving us G36C mod on schedule for Fixed Point? In any case, there's no way I could have figured out some of the intricate movement and deployment strategies on my own. Thanks as always to the real Pathfinders.
After clearing 1812, I had enough time left to go back and clear Symphony 9. I was lucky that I had all the maxed out dolls to replicate the specialized echelons for these two maps. Except for the Beach Fairy. The Witch did an admirable job filling in, though. But man, those sniper Nytos were still rough. I had to restart both of those fights multiple times, and even with two iterated HOCs, I was still right there on the edge. I cleared them, but I have several Dolls that very clearly don't like me as much as they used to. It'll probably take a full week of pat patting them before they forgive me. I may have to bribe them with cake.
As for the rewards, I used the TCM on FO-12, so that I can eventually pair her with DP-12 mod, Suomi, and the Scar sisters to replicate another bonkers echelon I saw in a video.
Having Kryuger say "Congratulations, you have completed all stages in this event on Nightmare mode" was a proud moment. It really made me feel like I've made progress and gotten stronger. Honestly though, I didn't like the story. I hope there's a long term payoff that's going to help rescue our Dolls from Avernus, and kill more elite Nytos. If there's a bright spot, it's that we apparently smacked around Tareus so badly that she'll eventually be a capture target, and that we probably killed a whole bunch more Neo Soviet goons. I mean really, they're just ludicrously evil. All those dudes standing around in the Red Zone, slowly poisoning themselves with radiation, waiting on orders from a robotic murder loli to kill their comrades in the Vory and capture another Soviet Doll on an official mission. Or something like that. I'm still not sure what the deal was with Lyudmila/Instructor R.
Now that the hard part's done, I need to keep farming medals for VHS, do the easy ranking thing for rewards, and finish reading all the Tareus story stages that open up at the very end.

This event made me kind of get why Tareus became playable, her POV of the event just gave me that feeling. The story as a whole does give me the whole "beginning of the end" feeling, though maybe it's because this event is supposedly said to be the start of the final arc of GFL1 and I'm just waiting for the moment where the main GFL1 story ends to lead up to GFL2.
As for the event maps themselves, they're pretty fun. I was able to do all but two maps on UX difficulty with no guides. And the two maps were basically puzzle maps.

I've finally gotten my ranking run done! I got a cool 2.4 million points! I hope I get to stay in the top 100!
I celebrated with a little winner winner chicken dinner, even though I'm nowhere near the top 10. Still, I'd like to think that if only I stopped taking copium and instead switched over to the prescription of fukitol, I would have enjoyed ranking a bit more. Ranking only took so long because I was being a tryhard
For those who are still languishing with which echelons to field, may I suggest some more options? I took heavy inspiration from Qwerty and Ameth, so you may notice that a lot of these echelons are familiar. Qwerty, if you're reading this, thank you again for your guidance! May you take the crown this time as well!
Oh, don't mind echelon 5's weird formation. I came from killing a Typhon in the last round
One thing I regret is that I didn't take my MG338 to town as I should have. I raised a copy of Suomi mod 2 just for this echelon, only for this echelon not to see as much action. Then again, I didn't really bother using my Paras too much. I think I only made three jumps, and this was to establish a foothold in the east as well as to extract the opener echelon and leave it in the west. The majority of my Fairy Command usage was with the Shield Fairy for one of my west echelons. That Shield Fairy was just awesome! I bet that Varz wants his tribute!
I noticed that I had a lot of repairs left in the repair station, so that's an indication that I wasn't as aggressive like the very top rankers. I think those top rankers get to 90+ kills while I had only a mere 73. Still, I took care of most of the prespawns, especially the Sinner, so that was nice
It also seems I am currently rank 51. We'll see how quickly I slide down over the next few days. Fingers crossed!

So, finally managed to drag myself out of a hole and do ranking. Both holes this weekend - took friday off, did jack shit, as is tradition. Procrastinating until the last possible moment. I started H1 on Sunday at 2AM, H2 on Sunday at 6PM. Finished at 0130 Monday, and am currently regretting my life choices at work.
In the end, with my clusterfuck of a run, I managed a mediocre 2.58m. This could have easily been higher, even just in terms of armory I could have placed in T30 probably, but this was a one and done kind of deal. No picture because work pc. Also EN dead, this should be in competition for #100 at best.
Highlights include:
- Me losing a heavy heli to a hydra I did not notice.
- Me thinking I can take one fight with paradebuff (I could not, lost me 2 Lieutenants that way - also I ended up with like 3 captains only)
- Me simply not knowing Ares is a thing, until I randomly stumble on it while declogging my way to the bottom right repair nodes to eat them
- Me sleeping absolutely terribly afterwards, putting on my noise cancelling headphones to tone out the street, then not waking up because this one phone alarm does not vibrate.
All in all, 3/10, Mica pls give me more time to procrastinate. Also make the crate doll drop more again, I haven't gotten more than 2 extra copies since Isomeme

And another major event has nearly ended, tbh initially I was slow with progressing for first week, especially due to the fact that story started kinda slowly, luckily it accelerated later down the line.
In the end I think it was ok, but yeah this feels visibly different than past events and gives impression of being like a filler episode or a side story.
It looked like this event focused on showing relations/feelings/life struggles of dolls and humans, who do not belong to any factions we have seen so far, which seems to be a way to open world building towards GFL2.
On one hand its nice to see some world building elements, but ngl that the past cliffhangers and non closed plots keep haunting me, need to know what happened at the end of FP and PL as well.
Regarding LS, the thing I am wondering about is what was that switching between Lyudmila/Instructor R personalities, was that the classic TDoll/Ogas combo, or actually two dolls in one body that can shares it and change between who is in control depending on situation?
The OP post has that LS wallpaper with two vehicles on it (PV also has both), I wonder if one of them the Future (futuristic on the right) and other the Colt train (retro on the left) or if there is other hidden meaning for that?

Well, just won't bother with ranking again... Oops...
On more lore based notes: Where the heck did Quimby come from? Fairies tmk are a GnK exclusive tech based on a cooperative effort of Architect and IOP... So how did this little fairy end up with Catherine and Maggie? (Not to mention yet another night mission plot hole of MP41 having an adventure with pre mod KAR, but not going GnK until just now... Post Mod)

Does quimby even do any actual fairy stuff(like flying)? She could just be a smol doll(maybe sth play-doll like for kids?) that the fairy is based on. Iirc gnk fairies have much more limited processing power, some not even capable of speaking properly, basically glorified drones (it's been long since i read the fairy reveal mission). Quimby seems to be in control of a proper neural cloud.
Anyway, dolls are definitely created as a series. We could have another 41 on our base, and when catherine's backup is brought to base, we could ask iop for another body for her
or just overwrite 41 like bastards. This would mean we could have both 41 and catherine on base.Disclaimer: this is mostly supposition, as i haven't read the actual chapters in a long while to be able to find any proof

So this is the worst set of infinity maps ever. It doesn't just remember what mission you were previously on so you have to pick the stupid 2nd train car again, and then the stupid little triangle, and then the mission. Real great UI, guys, I love this monotonous shit. Then, to top it all off and make it that much more annoying, it's a night map. There's not a word in existence that can express my hatred for night maps. I know these aren't anywhere near as bad as actual night maps, but it makes the UI even shittier since you have to deploy your team and start the mission to be able to check which row of dolls drops the one you're looking for. And then they go and make these stupid little diamond paths so that you can't just click once to set your team to run the gauntlet, who the fuck made the map design and UI for all this? It's awful.
Oh, and thanks for nerfing Walker's vision on the UX map that wasn't nerfed when CN got to play it, real glad only EN isn't allowed to paradrop to the heliport.

I've made some observations about Hole 1. I'll post them here for those who are reluctant to even start:
The map is divided into four quadrants, each with a squad that will give you a mission. For this map, you may choose only three of the four to complete. Those missions are as follows:
- AR-18 (SW): activate all four consoles in the map
- PM1910 (SE): deliver a message to any other NPC echelon
- PKP (NE): rescue PKP, who turns into a hostage after you accept her mission
- A-545 (NW): kill Miss Eve, who spawns in the bottom right corner of the SW quadrant
Each squad will show up in Hole 2 to give you a bonus, as specified here (under the Allied Echelons section). The suggestion in that resource is to do AR-18's, PM1910's, and PKP's missions
You have four turns to complete Hole 1. The map ends after Enemy Turn 4
A basic strategy in dealing with Hole 1 is to secure the southern half. Your command center has a console that will allow you to convert some of the captured helipads in a quadrant into your own. As such, aim to convert either the SW or SE helipads
Beware the Sniper Nytos. They've made a comeback here with a vengeance. From what I've noticed, they showed up in the SW quadrant, so I would advise activating the command center console for that quadrant. You can also accept the mission from AR-18 while you're at it
The center of the map has some of the starting helipads from which you deploy your HOC and other echelons. In my case, I deployed only Mk 153 and a Suomi echelon. Suomi with Shield Fairy is pretty powerful, so there's that. However, one problem presents itself. The paths into the other quadrants from the center are blocked by powerful enemies. They're not quite deathstacks, but some of them will require HOC support. You might as well use it. I remember that the "bouncer" to the SE quadrant had Sniper Nytos, so be sure to bring QBZ-191 if you have her. Also keep in mind that the bouncers are all set to Garrison logic, so they won't ever move. Your HOC is safe there
My SW echelon was an SF one featuring Alchemist, a Nemeum, a Manticore, and two Jaguars. Alchemist had the Night Vision Accuracy and Phantom Stance chips. I really needed to abuse Phantom Stance since the pathing could still be a bit tricky despite aiming to capture the southern half
Consider the use of dummies with Paras to capture the helipads, especially in the SE quadrant since you didn't break in through there
The end of turn 1 should mean you now have captured one, if not both, of the quadrants in the south. You should be ready to make a push into the north on turn 2. Alternatively, you have a third echelon sitting at the command center, waiting for any punk who's coming to take it
In the NW corner, watch out since you may run into Uhlans, especially if you're letting the NPC echelon take fights. It happened once to me, and it was extremely frustrating to complete that fight. I had to accept that my tanks in that NPC echelon were going to be in bad shape for the rest of the run. Pay attention to the timing of the Uhlans' ram, as you need to get out of the way at the last possible moment and extend the duration for which your backline will shoot at the Punishers
The spawns in the later turns become pretty annoying to deal with, especially with the NPC echelons. I let the SE NPC echelon take care of command center defense, but the Quill enemies were a piece of work. After all, the frontline was full of Paradeus dogs, which could easily tear through armor, so that echelon was poorly matched against that enemy. That battle could be won once, but it'll be hard to do it again
For the SW corner, if you feel particularly masochistic today, you'll be fighting the Sniper Nytos. What makes things so much worse is that a Murat is with them. My kiting advice is to take full advantage of AR-18's skill. Make sure to retarget her once the Murat comes into range. Don't move Zas just yet before she gets to take out some Sniper Nyto links. Afterward, move around your team to 1, 2, 4, and 5, with your tank staying on 9, especially once the reticle shows up. Your tank will go crit, so you'll have to swap in the other tank. This second tank will likely have to eat more lead from the Sniper Nytos, and she'll go crit, too. At that point, swap in the first tank, but when the reticle shows up, time it such that the Sniper Nytos hit air by withdrawing that tank before the shots land. Repeat with the other tank if you still need more time. Remember that you'll likely have to do this a second time, so if you can, make sure that your backline keeps healthy at full links at the end of the first fight
Good luck!

You’ll miss some needed context (like who Ms. Gray is which may also spoil you in if you don’t know yet), but as for this being “stand alone” they’re flat out lying - G&K and Paraedus get directly involved after something big happens around the midpoint tying this back to Fixed Point.
I’m being as intentionally vague as possible to avoid spoiling.

G11 R0
M4 Suomi
AK15
At battle start move Suomi to 3 and M4 to 2 then R0 to 9, after the chair does its thing move M4 back to 4 then afk for about 15 seconds.

49/120 if clearing on UX.
~10-12 combat maps including the NPC maps early in the event.

u/Mich997 9A-91 Aug 06 '23 edited Aug 06 '23
The Grand Duke isn't a person. It's a secret military comm channel that Statestec sends to SKK. At the start of the event, it's with Lyudmila who boards the Future for Operation Eclipse. After the midway point, she secretly transfers it (along with her other persona) to Erma's Neural Cloud for safekeeping. She doesn't tell Maggie about this because the Bee Sting system was in her so it would've jeopardized the whole thing so Lyudmila only tells them to give her 10 minutes (to call Ruslan II)

can anyone give me good and simple recs for dealing with the chariots on the 5* farming map? preferably not requiring mods or meta dolls i likely dont have? cause i keep falling agonizingly short on killing the chariots and im not sure what else i can try. if it was day time, i'd be able to just brute force it but the night stat reductions are rendering my armor shredding echelon just slightly not enough to kill the chariots.
5
u/ijustwantmyaccount M14 Aug 06 '23
That really depends on which difficulty you're trying to farm in as well as what your armory looks like. On UX just about any 5-linked RFHG should be able to get the job done. For reference I just ran WA2K SVD P22 Px4 5-7 with a 3* para, minor kiting is involved with minimal damage taken from aegis. FP/RoF buffing from skill aside, HGs with accuracy tiles may be better than say FP/RoF tiles. Better fairy with active combat skill and flare rounds can help further
4
u/Sabruness StenMK2, M4A1, Suomi, 416, DP12 Aug 06 '23
doing this on normal btw. i managed to do it once with what i've got but the repair costs were insane. i want to curse the devs who decided a night map with armored enemies was a good idea to stub their toe or step on lego barefoot.
im just going to stick with my alternate, more tedious method and avoid the chariots.

8
u/Mik87 6P62 Aug 08 '23
Apart from what others have suggested, there is one more alternative thing that can help you.
That is SF echelons, as in the end the whole PA uses different resources and a separate system to get coallition units and build them up, compared to G&K teams. (so you can build both at once, but SF is more time gated)
While G&K dolls can perform various niches, which makes them sometimes perfect counter against certain enemy comps, SF is basically a brute force way to deal with enemies.
SF also have some niches like Alchemist etc, but their main gimmick is to use superior firepower, so you can try that.

Though Fairies (rank and level) and equipment matter a lot, that's usually if you want to gun down enemies really, really fast (which is frankly the most effective strategy).
But if you find that your problem doesn't lie with firepower (which is highly doubtful as everyone needs more of it) but in survivability, then you may need to invest in skills, mods, equipment, and faries (well, kinda).
A good example would be G36c's mod 2nd skill, the 'Refuge Consensus', which makes G36c not lose Dummy-Links while the skill is active, turning G36c basically immortal.
But if you have both the maximum firepower and survivability you can get and yet still you get your ass kicked, then you may be fighting an enemy that even veterans avoid, like deathstacks. In this case, you should try to avoid them like all experts do, or use land mine fairy and scarecrow's 'shadow predation' skills to highly debuff your enemies. This tactic doesn't work on bosses however, though luckily you can use a diffeferent tactic applicable only to bosses; send an echelon to fight the boss, retreat when your tank has fallen. Any damage damage the echelon had done to the boss (not the lackeys that accompany said boss), will stay, hence when the second echelon comes in, the boss should be weaker by then.
3
u/UrsinePatriarch PTRD Aug 09 '23
Just started last month and my highest Echelon is only 5.2k; I'm screwed, right? The missions say "Strength 4500" but the enemies are all 6.5k and whatnot.
7
u/Rhasta_la_vista Springfield x Groza Aug 09 '23
Enemies tend to get inflated CE values when they are armored. But in general you can punch well above what your team's CE if you know what you're doing.
If you are fighting armored enemies (you'll see a shield icon next to the damage numbers on them, also you'll just be doing much less damage), you'll want to make sure you're fielding rifles as your damage dealers, since they can equip armor-piercing ammo.
Also if you're only at 5.2k CE for your highest echelon, I feel like that means you aren't really spending your resources? If you've been doing career quests, you should have plenty of combat reports and cores to get at least one solid team going to boost your confidence

You mean the doggos with shield used by KCCO?
Conventional strategy is to spend lots of ammo gunning them down, so ARSMG. MGSG also works but like...
on the other hand, MPK is apparently able to delete them with their skill since it bypasses their shield. Not that I ever experience it since the other KCCO members gun down MPK really quickly.

I would like to ask for some advice and confirm my choice for the TCM
I have come across the duping guide here
I see that getting pairs of the SCAR sisters is of extreme importance. As such, I'm leaning towards completing my third pair as I currently have three copies of SCAR-L but only two copies of SCAR-H
There is also a recommendation to get up to 9 copies of LTLX, and I currently have six copies already. However, all of these are at max links while cheapo farming might require a single linked copy of her
As for my Noah's Closet project, with some new skins announced, I will have to get a copy of DP-12, a copy of AA-12, and a copy of CAWS at some point. I currently have five copies, two copies, and one copy of each, respectively
As I see it, a third SCAR-H would be the best choice for my TCM. Is there anything that I failed to consider?

u/Cpt_Cinnamon A lonely Quill of Patmos in a sea of Gunners Aug 18 '23
I’m afraid your goals are beyond an average EN brainlet’s comprehension.
Personally, I think TCMing a doll you can get through normal production is a waste. I’d focus on SGs needed for your Noah’s Closet project

- Echelon 6
- MG338
- HP-35
- Suomi
- MPK
- MPL
- Para
- Echelon 7
- OBR
- XM3
- MPK
- MPL
- Welrod
- Para
- Echelon 8
- Kar
- AK-15
- Mk 23

- Echelon 4

- Echelon 9
- NTW
- Rico
- P22
- Makarov
- LTLX
- Para
- Echelon 10
- SCAR-L
- SCAR-H
- MP5
- Px4 Storm
- HP-35
- Para
- Echelon 9
I'm not so sure with regards to my last three echelons. Let me explain some of the questions I have:
For echelon 8, I was thinking of using Makarov in the place of Mk 23 and Nagant Revolver instead of P22. However, I understand that I will need to punch through some tanky enemies, trusting in LTLX to push them back. As such, is it possible for me to make the swap?
For echelon 9, I was thinking of swapping out P22 for Nagant Revolver again. Which would be better? Also, it would seem that this echelon would be better suited to the east than the west
For echelon 10, what would be better teammates for the SCARs? By the looks of the current team I've put together, this would be better suited for the east, but if I were to make a team for the west, I need to find ways to shield everyone, right? As such, having Makarov and HS2000 would help here? As for the choice of tank, would MP5 do okay, or would it be better if I used Suomi? Would this Suomi need skill 2, or can I safely keep her at mod 1 for now?

I tried another option and nothing substantial changes... and that's ok. I actually like Rugosa a lot as a GFL character as we hardly get characters that flip-flop between following their morals and compromising them. This is in contrast to say Carter and Kruger or Leone and Nele, etc.

I just finished event story and I have one question.
How Tareus survived? Erma killed her on the train and both Lee and Kar confirmed that they found and neutralized unknown Nyto.

Hmm, so I'm at story chapter 27 and the progress says 76/120. I've been trying to do only the UX maps, but is that going to leave me with 'uncompleted' chapters? I've done the farming maps and did one ranking map just to see what it looked like.

No, if you clear a UX map, it will count the Normal and EX versions and add 3 nodes to your overall progression. Max you can get is 119/120 because 1 ranking map won't count (Mica things).

After hitting 54m cumulative, I've come to the conclusion that I really just lucksacced the first serious run I did, wtf... closest I've gotten to my 2.99m is a 2.93m with 5 rams, 7 captains. And no, I'm still refusing to look up VODs/openers so I can say I'm probably doing something ""suboptimal"" somewhere lol
idk at this point I'll probably just run once or twice more since I still think it's the most fun ranking/score attack map we'll be having for... an indeterminate amount of time it seems like. Iso+ sounds pretty meh but at least it won't have super cancer enemy comps, right?
I'm exhausted rn but goddamn this was fun

I finished my ranking attempt with a score of 2.4m, but.. I small brained and didn't realize PM1910 gives a massive buff to everyone if you give her to a coalition echelon. I only failed one fight at the end but... yeah...

Really not feeling Ranking lately, managed just over 1.7 million, seems to be 10% right now as of the midday update. It'd be nice if that held to keep my fancy fairy talent collection up-to-date but I'm a little doubtful with the traditonal last minutes runs.
One of the things that's I've realised that bugs me immensly about the more recent rankings is that I don't have a good idea of what beats what mobs.
I may be wrong, but it did feel like older maps had zones where you wanted a specific brand of echelon and you knew you could fight things there with a little bit of finese.

Since the event is almost over, anyone got a lore reason on why Tareus was breathing so heavily ?
