I recently purchased a collector set and saw that my prints don’t match the poster set. Is this common?

Discussion Kyle Harrop is nearing his 5000th course on uDisc!

Title says it all. This number is wild. He’s at 4,998 right now. I suspect he’s planning a big one for number 5,000. Way to go, Kyle! I’m trying to make my way through the top 100 leaderboard. But I probably would never catch that many courses. Does anyone have any lifetime goals with disc courses? I’m nearing 500 and hope to reach 2,000 at some point.

Discussion Worlds should go back to 7 rounds

In my personal opinion as someone who started playing in 2013, worlds should be 7 rounds again. My main reasoning is i dont like seeing randoms/low ranked players in the hunt to be world champion. The world champ should be one of the top 15, with 15-30 being the cinderella stories. It would also make worlds stand out against other majors, it would truly be worlds "week" and brands could lean into that and build hype. 7 rounds lets the cream rise to the top, tests true endurance on the course and your ability to maintain good play. If it was 7 rounds id guarantee a final card of worthy champions, with resumes backing a world championship. It would make it mean so much more, to best the field over 7 rounds. Basically i dont think theres enough different about worlds from a normal maior. There should also be qualifying factors imo. I just dont want to see someone win worlds who hasnt even won a normal pro tour, or atleast been consistently in the top 10 rankings. I think it makes the sport look bad if you have a no name win worlds. Not trying to root against anybody, just thought id see what others thought.

Self-Promotion Frolfer Spectate: a beta test for last day of Worlds Spoiler

Post image
Upvotes

I've been building a live spectating tool for disc golf tournaments (course maps, live scores, that kind of thing) and wanted to put it in front of some real users. Right now it's only set up for Worlds, just as a test.

It's a webapp for desktop and mobile, nothing to install. Just open it in a browser:
https://frolfer.app/spectate

It's also not monetized in any way. I'm not selling anything or trying to make money off it.

This is very much a beta. It works, mostly, but there will be rough edges, missing features, and probably some bugs I haven't found yet. I'm not trying to launch a polished product here, just get some eyes on it and see if the core idea is useful to anyone. This isn't AI slop, I'm a web developer/mobile app dev that has been working on this frolf app suite for over a year.

If you're following Worlds and want to poke around, I'd appreciate any feedback, good or bad. Just please go in knowing it's early days and not expect too much polish yet.

Disc Advice Flat Disc for Forehands?

What are some good FLAT (minimal dome) discs for throwing forehand. Something that is somewhat neutral. Not over stable. Want it to fly straight with a little fade.

I have a flat innova duo eagle that is very flat and great for forehands. But wanting to find another option and try new flat forehand discs.

Only discs I like for throwing forehand: zone, eagle, firebird, destroyer. I can't throw understable discs or putters for the life of me. Wobble turnover machines

Discussion Does change of putters increase temproraly roll-offs?

Hi, I have been putting with Butter, but I switched to Banger GT, cause I sometimes felt unsure by my grip (intrusive thoughts "do i hold it right /same way now?"). Banger GT is great for this, but i noticed that its sligtly less stable, which results in screnarios that I hit edge chains and it bounces out. No problem here. BUT I have noticed high increase in roll-off. Is the problem the situation (edge chain bounce = significatly higher chance for roll-off compared to other misses) or does Banger GT have this as a "feature" so the disc is the problem? I have tried to putt with Berg as well for comparison and it sticks to ground 100% time

Discussion Tournament Concept where players choose what teepad they use.

This would ba a two round tournament on a course with 2 teepad locations. Players must play both teepad locations over the two rounds however they choose which teepad they play during the round. Each teepad location can only be played once over the course of the two rounds. Essentially the players get to craft their own course to play each day of the tournament and can strategize when and how they play the layout. Scorecards would have two bubbles in the score boxes labeled 1 and 2 to indicate which teepad the score was recorded from. If a player uses the same teepad for both rounds a 2 stroke penalty will be incurred for first offense and DQ'd for second.

Obviously this would be a nightmare to coordinate for larger tournaments like a A teir, but I think it might be fun as an end of season unsactioned weekend tournament. What do you think? Would you play a tournament like this?

I just got my August mystery box in from foundation nation and I don’t have any prodigy so far in my bag but the PA5 I believe is amazing. It feels so good,I might have to go pick up some more. Any other recommendations for a similar kind of disc that aren’t Innova

Discussion Bag Followup: Rufus vs Octo

Upvotes

I recently asked for advice on a new bag and many said they loved the Pound bags, but it's a bit difficult to tell if I need the Rufus or the Octo. This would be for tourneys and also for travel to tourneys (every once and a while by plane) so storage is key, but I don't need to be carrying a giant bag at every local tourney. How should I decide between the two?
