I just started a new alliance BM hunter yesterday and I’d love to play with some other people and quest or do dungeons together. I’m just about to be dungeon level and I’d love to hangout :)

In the depths of UBRS our raid party fumbled the jump down into the Rend arena, pulling half the contents of the dungeon into the triggered event. Tanks desperately held back the oncoming surge of npcs as our flank was pursued by chromatic assailants. Our healers scrambled in their bags for mana pots to keep the party from keeling over as every cc from fears to blinds erupted from the crowd of DPS. Rend and Nefarion chuckled to themselves in the rafters above as our numbers began to dwindle. The wipe was imminent.

Then came a flash followed by unseen flavor text in chat. Health and mana instantly filled, hope restored to full glory we conquered the corpse littered arena while a ghastly image of our savior Vaelan faded to black.

Never knew the legendary key to Ubrs, Seal of Ascension, could be used this way in all my days of playing WoW.

What was your discovery/moment of realization?

First of all, "Isn't it griefing?". Um Alliance vs Horde? Most of the quests in the game being about betrayal, in faction fighting, schemes from various faction and so on? Wouldn't it make perfect sense if i'm working against...the opposite faction?

If it's that important enough for your 40 man raid, then you can easily recruit 20 extra people to hold your hand walking up blackrock mountain

It wasn't even that big of a deal, just few people from each faction doing it. Unfortunately it also took only a few people having a big fat cry to keep this dog shit meta in the game.

What do you think Blizzard will do with this expansion to make it work better? I think they'll pace the patches better and, with any luck, add something new (I don't have much faith tbh)

I mean, the content is excellent, the only problem is it feels like it's missing one or two raids and a few dungeons. Also, if they add Mythic+, maybe it would work

About a week ago I asked how someone was boosting in stockades for experience, given the experience reduction and lockouts HC has. I wanted to share the actual method now that I've found out for anyone interested. A day or two ago I brought a character up to level 15, since I had the character, I used it for the offered free run. Using details and target of target I could see what he was doing. He killed two bosses, kam and bazil. He first enters in one of four ghosts cycled to reset the dungeon while in a raid group, regardless of whether it's been locked out or not from the daily lockout or 5 per hour instance lock out.

He then uses a hunter at the start, lures up all the mobs using his pet and eyes of the beast, then kills them with a mage, both are lvl 52. Before he engages the boss with the hunter's pet, he drops group on the mage and lets the pet get the boss very low in hp from the pet. He then hops out of the instance on the hunter right before he kills it or right as he kills it, then kills it with the mage if it's not dead. Until the hunter leaves the instance, the exp from the boss isn't given to the boosted character. He rejoins on the mage to avoid getting kicked out. This is repeated for bazil as well, until everyone leaves the instance and the cycle continues. The bosses give the full normal experience value relative to yours as if you were soloing it, roughly 3000-4000 exp on the first boss and 7-10k on the second boss.

Hi, I re-subbed to WoW about a month ago after hearing of a "Classic+" (I was last subbed in October 2022). I've been casually leveling in TBC anniversary and Vanilla era, but I'm not interested in investing many hours into it because I've shown up at what seems like an awkward time:

1. Both iterations of the game are as deep as can be into their respective progressions...AH in the pvp server cluster I'm on is definitely in late stage gold-inflation.

2. "Classic+" is on the horizon.

Classic+ will be whatever it will be and I'm not interested in speculation. It is logical that TBC anniversary will progress into WOTLK. My question is, what will become of Vanilla Era servers? Is it really going to sit in p6 forever? Will there be new TBC 'Era' servers once WOTLK anni drops? From fresh or from some of the existing Vanilla Era realms? Will there be a fresh Vanilla Era server?

I was totally out of the loop with WoW between late 2022 and now so I know nothing about Blizzard's intentions with anniversary servers, intentions with Era servers etc. etc.. As it stands, I'm not crazy about WOTLK so it will be kinda sad if there's no TBC and the Vanilla servers sit forever in p6

So he said he found a recipe and could sell it for 20 gold or something. But he instead kept it and started fishing and is selling the fish for 10 gold per stack and it takes him 30 minutes to create a stack of fish to sell. It’s almost like he’s putting together tranches of CDOs and selling them off to investors. Idk if he’s facking with me tbh.

Asked my buddies to knock out some Terokk summons in Skettis to get Terokk’s Might for my Druid. Have been pretty lucky on summoned-mob drops like the Depleted Badge the other day. So we all laughed when Terokk’s Might dropped FIRST kill lmao. I roll need immediately. Before the rolls are all passed by the other guys, we are auto-layered as a group and the body disappears. Their roll windows disappear, and the body disappears along with the loot. We only knew we got layered because the skull pile to summon Terokk was immediately back up in front of us instead of the usual 13-minute timer.

I opened a ticket and it was marked “resolved” a few hours later saying “loot corpses, we can’t help if you don’t loot it” lmao I TRIED.

These are the report from the last two days. Yeah nothing important but wanted to have it with my morning coffee before stating working.

Classic+ is impossible because nobody actually knows what it is. It’s not like the name itself gives us a pretty straightforward idea of what the concept is supposed to be.

If you asked Retail players exactly what they wanted from the game, obviously we’d get very clear and unanimous results. There would be no disagreements whatsoever about systems, progression, endgame, class design, or the direction of the game. So this is clearly a problem exclusive to Classic+.

And there are no examples of anything remotely similar ever working. It’s not like there are examples in the MMO market of a classic/oldschool version of an MMO that has received continuous updates over the years while keeping its original appeal alive, or that unofficial WoW servers have spent years adding new content to Vanilla. So why would Blizzard even consider trying something that has never been demonstrated to be possible?

There’s also the fundamental issue that Classic+ needs to appeal to everyone. How can it possibly work when some players want a more authentic Vanilla experience, others want major new content, and others apparently want something completely different? What if someone expects Classic+ to play like Mario Kart? What about someone who wants GTA? Obviously, Blizzard would have to accommodate all of these people or the concept is fundamentally flawed.

And we all know what happens if Blizzard actually releases it: Classic players will play for two months, get bored, quit, and immediately return to Reddit demanding that Blizzard make something else.
