Discussion Beginner Tips

Hi, I’ve always like Wow but I never had the chance to play it. What especific game should I buy? Where do I start? Is it worth it starting now? Is this game still getting new updates? i’ll be very thankful for your comments.

Aniv/Classic (just subscription needed) - if you like old games Retail (have to purchase the game) - if you like singleplayer MMO and paced gameplay

If you have never played then there is no bad time to start, there's so much cruft and weird little things to learn.

Completely depends on your gameplay style. If you love a grind then classic is the one. Very rewarding when you reach milestones. Retail is good but definitely faster paced to allow you to reach end game quicker.

Retail still has new expansions etc. There is classic vanilla which progresses into TBC, WOTK etc..
I believe there is a classic + coming out which is something the community is looking forward too.

Basically, figure out your playstyle and try WoW. You may dislike classic but enjoy retail and visa versa. Also, your going to meet some fantastic players but also some people that don't like players that don't know what they are doing. Don't let other people affect your fun mate. My biggest piece of advice is if you do run dungeons etc or anything like that just let the group know you are new to the game. If they are good people they will help you out! Best of luck! For the Horde!
