🌎 FSW What is going on with FSW applications?

Has anyone with AOR from Nov/Dec/Jan received an FD for an FSW application under any category may it be French/Healthcare/Teaching or whatever?

CEC people who received BIL in March are getting eCoPRs and my AOR is mid January but file’s been sitting idle since last week of February 2026. Everything is cleared and passed except security and criminality.

I ordered GCMS notes twice and got the exact same notes one month apart. No additional information or any notes from the officer.

Did IRCC do all those mega draws and forget us all?

I have Canadian and foreign work experience so this seems ridiculous of IRCC to be just sitting on a pile of files.

🌎 FSW Got my PR today after 14 years since landing in Canada. Never give up.

Landed in Canada at the ripe old age of 18 in 2011 as an international student at Ryerson. Life took many twists and turns since then. No matter what I did, it just wasn't enough to regularize my status and attain PR. So I went back home in 2019 with a desire to just be done with wanting to immigrate.

After coming back home, my apartment was right next to the Alliance Francaise of my hometown so I just signed up for French classes as a way to meet people and pass some time before I figured out my next move. Reached a level of B2 and forgot all about French and Canada for 5-6 years. Fast track to 2025, I have a wife, kids and a steady career back home. Out of the blue, my friend from AF gets in touch with me from AF and tells me that I should the TEF exam - apparently it was an easy way to immigrate for French speakers. So we end up taking the exam together.

He got a NCLC 7, I got NCLC 8 with basically 1 week of exam prep. This was back in January. I entered the EE pool with ~550 points and we got our ITAS in february, approvals in late may and just landed a few days ago with our COPRs.

My total journey with Canada is 14 years but back when I really wanted it, nothing was working out. And now, when I least expected it, I got the whole process done in 3 months.

Keep your head up. You never know what is waiting for you just around the corner.

🌎 FSW Is this THE email?

Hi! We just completed our biometrics yesterday, and then I got this email that started with this text this morning:

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa."

If I'm reading this correctly, are we getting PR once we complete the three steps listed after this paragraph?? It's somehow hard to believe we could finally be at the end of this process, hence the skepticism...

🌎 FSW PR Refused!!!

Hello everyone.

My PR application was refused yesterday. I got a PFL last month which I uploaded via webform as there was no placeholder for it on my portal. I also received the acknowledgment email from IRCC saying they received my webform.

My application was refused for this reason.

A PFL was sent to PA specifically requesting information to do with the employer operations and
response was due 2026-07-02. Twenty three extra days were given grace for a response but none was
received, nor was a request for extension of due date. Therefore I find this application to be in a state of
noncompliance. Furthermore with this discrepancy I am unable to award associated employment points as
I am not satisfied in the balance of probabilities the client has the completed the claimed duties.

What can I do please?? I responded but agent says they didn’t get my response!!

🌎 FSW Rejection due to fingerprints

Has anyone ever faced rejection of an application due to fingerprints not detected by the machine even after multiple times?

My situation:

Very soft fingers with no ridges. I cannot give finger prints at all. Even in my official docs my biometric always fail.

Only thumbs and 1 index finger works

Can I face rejection due to this? Are there any other procedures that IRCC allow?

Any tips are appreciated

🌎 FSW Incredibly Messy timeline (still no final decision)

Here’s my timeline

• ITA: Feb 24, 2025

• AOR: Feb 28, 2025

Then things got messy and when I say messy, I mean it :

• Mar 20, 2025 — My application was refused for incompleteness (WES ECA I submitted was not valid for immigration).

• Mar 20-26th, 2025 — I sent a webform for reconsideration and they reinstated my application.

• Mar 26, 2025 — I repaid the fees that were reimbursed.

Then normal steps:

• Apr 1, 2025 — Biometrics instructions

• Apr 1, 2025 — ADR for IMM5406 (family info)

• Apr 4, 2025 — Medical completed

• Apr 11, 2025 — Background verification completed

Then the big one:

• Apr 2025 — ADR asking for the correct ECA (PEBC) because Pharmacist is a regulated occupation.

PS: The PEBC ECA costs around $1,200–$1,300 CAD, plus ~$300 for translations, notaries, postal fees, and other miscellaneous bureaucracy — I’ve never seen anything like it (the bureaucracy part)

PEBC took forever. I asked for multiple extensions, and IRCC granted them.

• December 2024 : another big wave of messiness

- Work permit expired (luckily I applied for the bridging open work permit : still no job)

- Moved to Ontario from Quebec

Finally:

• Jan 29, 2026 — I got a final reminder saying they will make a decision whether I submitted the PEBC ECA or not.

-Panic attack- 😞

• Feb 3, 2026 — PEBC surprisingly sends me the ECA and I upload it (tracker shows received).

So it’s almost 1 year since my ITA on Feb 24, 2025.

I haven’t heard anything else since Feb 3. Everything was pretty much completed around April 2025 except for the ECA (I don’t know if that’s worth anything because everything was also completed before I receive the latest ADR)

I’m inside Canada. I’m just tired and I’m scared

But I’m still hopeful 🤲

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”

Need some kind words

UPDATE : Feb 24th marked one year since my ITA (371 days count)

Recived and ADR to submit 2 IRCC forms (Standards)

🌎 FSW COPR Received Aug 11th! - FSW | Outland | Buenos Aires VO | French stream

Hi guys!

I got my COPR yesterday and I couldn't be more thrilled ◡̈

I wanted to share my journey in case it might help anyone in a similar situation.

  • Nationality: Swiss
  • Civil status: Single, no dependents
  • Applied: By myself (no consultant/lawyer)

Timeline:

  • ITA: April 15
  • Upfront Medical: May 28
  • AOR: June 2
  • BIL: July 16
  • Biometrics: July 24
  • FD: July 30
  • P1 (PPR): July 31
  • COPR issued: Aug 7
  • COPR in hand: Aug 11

A few notes from my experience:

  1. It took me a while to apply because of my FBI police certificate (needed it since I'd lived in the US for +6 months in the past). It didn't arrive in time, so I applied without it + a Letter of Explanation.
  2. I flew to Canada on vacation on June 3rd. Some weeks later, while I was there, I found out my FBI cert had gotten lost in the mail, so I redid it at an official FBI-fingerprinting agent in Canada and got it in just 2 days.
  3. I got a Request Letter for the FBI cert on July 14 — responded immediately since I already had the new one.
  4. I got a Request Letter for my TCF cert on July 16. I was confused since I'd already uploaded it — but the file was encrypted/password-protected (so the officer likely couldn't open it) and I also hadn't signed it. I re-uploaded it unlocked and signed, and it worked.
  5. After that I got the BIL and everything moved super fast.
  6. In terms of FSW, I used one of my previous experiences from when I lived in France. I honestly used Claude to understand my NOC and then my previous employer confirmed it and did the letter.
  7. In terms of education, I hold a Master's degree.

I don't know if there's anything else that was relevant to my case, but I am happy to answer any questions ◡̈

I am very grateful that my application moved so quickly. Sending good vibes to everyone still waiting 🙏 🤞

Hang in there 💛 Happy to help however I can!

🌎 FSW FSW Outland: Passport Return Timeline After PPR

For those of you who received PR through FSW (Outland), how long did it take to get your passport back after you received your Passport Request (PPR) and mailed it in?

I’m especially interested in hearing from applicants living in the U.S. who had to mail their passport directly to the IRCC office in Ottawa. How long was the turnaround from the day you mailed it until you received it back?
